Of the five starting players for USF in this tourney, three are newcomers.

   South Florida

Andre Leveque

Cristian DiMarco

Claudio Correa

Jimmy Jones

Priyanshu Singh

Only DiMarco and Correa were here last season.

Leveque is a true freshman.

The other two are transfers who performed well at their former schools.

Senior, Rigel Fernandes is playing as an individual.

So, we should gain a better understanding of how well this team may perform going forward.

This is somewhat of a rebuilding year. We have a couple of TOP players coming in for '17-'18.

If we can make it back at least to the NCAA regionals this spring, we may then be in postion to be a national contender the following year.

After one round, USF is in 2nd place and three shots behind (#25) Miss.

USF finished fourth, after a poor final round.

The good news is that transfer Jimmy Jones placed 2nd, Correa 9th and DiMarco 13th. True freshman Leveque came in a respectable 21st.

It seems that Fernandez, playing as an individual, withdrew due to illness or injury.
