  1. Hilarious. The man went from a trailer park to BCS #2 status in 10 years. Yeah, thats all Leavitt worked for. Rankings only count at the end of the season. Uh...And where does USF rank right now? When you're the doormat of the League you don't have to wait until the end of the season.
  2. and all it took was a chokeslap In reality, it was a chokeslap that never happened. What it really took was Doug Woolard orchestrating a lynching. we all read the reports with poorly redacted names. revisionist history is better known as mythology. And who wrote that report? Hmmm?

  4. A perennial losing football team is a culture...a mindset that is developed over time. It happens when a team no longer believes in themselves and they find ways to lose. They'll sometimes hang in a game and put up a good fight, but always wither and die in the 4th quarter because they expect lose. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Perennial losers believe in moral victories and make statements like, "There's no shame in losing to a better team."
  5. A great man from a great state once said... "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics." Those statistics include players that have gone on to the NFL before graduation as well as transfers.
  6. Sorry to burst your bubble (not really), but Plank is a Leavitt supporter and played a part in Leavitt spending some quality time with Jim Harbaugh while he was still at Stanford. Did you post in the wrong thread because what you wrote makes no sense at all. I doubt that Leavitt's head is a viable option on the side of next year's helmet. I did ask my wife to relay the ideas posted here for next year's uniform. I think the point was too subtle for you and flew right over your pointy head.

  8. First of all, if Skip was so hot, how come no other FBS school wanted him? He had a 1-3 Bowl Game record that was telling. Second, Louisville is not as good as their ranking and the rest of the season will bear that out. I expect them to get thrashed by Rutgers, but will most likely lose at least one game before they travel to NJ at the end of the season. And Bridgewater is no where close to being one of the top QBs in the nation. I take it you missed K-State and Colin Klein completely and embarrassingly dismantling WVU and Geno Smith? The bottom line is the team with the most talent on the field lost the game. That's damning.
  9. Yes, taking a Senior laden team with 15 returning starters was a really bad deal for Skip. He needs a chance to get some underclassmen in skill positions and in leadership roles.
  10. A wise old college football coach once told me... "These are the kind of games you *have to* win."
  11. You pay a prostitute to leave... "Here's your money. Now go."
  12. Go suck an egg Peckerwood Pete! Now, now...We should remain positive and commend the boys on their effort.
  13. It was a valiant effort, though, and a good moral victory. Hang in there. You'll get 'em next time.
  14. I've heard that Mark Stoops has already been offered and he's already accepted the DC/HC in waiting job here. They're going to give Skip at least 1 more year, but they have demanded that he allow Stoops to be the DC and HCIW. Just reporting what I've heard. Or am I?? BTW IF you were a "fan" of USF back when CJL was here, then you'd know that if he were to accept the job at ucf that he would be going against everything that he stood for here. Would he then call us "The school to the West"? From Leavitt's perspective USF now stands for lack of moral character for railroading him after all he sacrificed. Betrayal has a way of changing people's perspectives. If true, then so be it, move on.... Jim was the architect of this program, but did not win ****..... I respect him for what he did, but move on... You mean move down not move on, right?
  15. He's just making **** up because Mark Stoops has absolutely no interest in such a deal, especially under Woolard. We can add you can't read to the list of why you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. "USFgrad and Hem my previous post was pure unadulterated sarcasm. Hence the "or am I". I know just as much as peepee. It's just that easy to spread internet rumors by stating that you know someone who knows someone. It's the " Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious." " Thanks!
  16. Really? Cause that's not what he said on the radio a couple of weeks ago. You're full of **** Pete... and the more you post the deeper you get. Yeah...Folks always say what they really think to the media. Just ask Obama.

  18. So...A .500 overall record is considered prime by USF fans now? DOH!
  19. The funniest thing on this board has been people like you or the OP who use strawman after strawman in attempt to make the fans on this board seem unreasonable or ignorant We didn't need to make some of them look that way. There was no straw man needed. They did a fine job all by themselves talking about wearing bags and the program spiraling downward after the ******* 3rd game of the season. We're halfway through what's been a train wreck of a season so far. It's not often that coaches are let go after just one train wreck, much less 1/4 or even 1/2 a train wreck so unreasonable and ignorant is a pretty accurate description. I believe the strongest message out of Shoop's post was patience ... he should have known better. 5-7 is **** close to a train wreck. 7-5 the year before was certainly not above expectations. programs' like ours have to build for an experienced team once every 4 or 5 years. This was his year to proive he was right for the job. we don't reload but we should expect to conted for a league title when we have 16 returning starters, 24 seniors and a 4 year starting QB. we will be starting over next year. Patience is fine and I have said he should get 1 possibly 2 more years if he can pull this program out of this nosedive this year but he has shown nothing to suggest he is a coach that can take us to the next level (I mean up obviously- he has shown he can take us down a level). If he loses this team and we finish 1-6 in big east again then I could see us cutting him loose.we have to start over again next year anyway. might as well do it with someone that can piosssibly take us to next level. plenty of coaches have success before their 5th year which is what we are realistically looking at with all the seniors leaving. If we finish strong and he proves he can turn a team around in the face of adversity then he should get a reprieve but finish at or below last year and he should be gone. the expectations of our program were never high and that is where our problems started if usf cant get in a big 5 conference i dont see the point in even maintaining the program.how can you justify paying a guy 2 million and you arent even competing for the big prize it is ironic that usf stopped playing the orlando school years ago because of ego and that school has passed us by------ If you think UCF has passed USF by just wait until they hire Leavitt. Ya RIGHT! funny You laugh like Old Joe Biden, but O'Leary is 66 and has an up and down .500 record. Don't shoot me, I'm just reporting things I'm hearing. 20. They're not new details. They were reported in the media. I'm just tormenting the nippleheads that wanted him fired and were just as giddy as a schoolgirl when Holtz was hired. They thought is was all so simple. LOL!
  21. How does a 13 year old girl gloat and how do you know this? You must be a mushroom because you were fed ******** and kept in the dark. There was no crime and there was no cover up. I'll take the sworn word of an FBI Agent over any friend of yours. Look I didn't think Jim should have been fired but what is done is done. $2.75 was probably cheaper than going to trial simple cost benefit analysis. Since I was told the exact same thing from two different people who there I take their word for it especially since one has Jim's cell number. All of the player's had his cell number. I have his cell number. So that make me more credible than you, right? I am not the one screaming for credibility. My experience tells me that often times the guys screaming the lowered have the most to hide. Like I said either drop new details or STFU and get out. LOL! No, you're the Simple Simon that thinks this mysterious friend is credible because he had Leavitt's number. With logic like that you must have attended UCF...or maybe no college at all.
