  1. Anyone? That's a hard question to answer because we don't know how guys like LeDay, Hawkins, and Aleem develop this season. Also I really believe that Heath is going to sign someone else really talented this spring if he can. There's going to be some serious talent still available. PG/ Collins SG/ ??? SF/ ??? PF/ ??? C/ Egbunu Well, if Rudd doesn't have an amazing season and go to the draft; I expect him to start at SF.. Or maybe Heath will put him at PF; but I feel like he should be at SF. As for PF if Rudd is not at PF.. that's interesting, but I'm gonna say Perry or LeDay. And I'm not even going to attempt to guess who'll be at SG... That's really between Hawkins, Aleem... maybe even Bo Zeigler, even though he's more of a SF.
  2. My dream class for 2014 would be PG Joel Berry, SG Grayson Allen/Adonys Henriquez, and SF Dwayne Morgan. If we are able to get 2 out of those 3 alone, I would highly impressed with the staff. Especially Joel Berry, he will be tough to get..But I like your dream class, I hope it happens!
  3. Sometimes I dislike being kept to the engineering corner of campus, never really get to see stuff like this! But Coach Heath is certainly doing all that he can, for sure.. It's a shame more students did not recognize him in the video.. At least that is how I perceived it.
  4. ...against Uconn.. I hate to point this out.. But they are terrible on offense. And their offense looked decent against us at times.
  5. To be fair.. There wasn't much for the Student section to be active about tonight.. Maybe a few moments, but besides that.. Eh. It's really important for the team to create some big plays that gets the crowd into it.. Especially with Tampa people.. Not many people around here are too into basketball.
  6. Definitely not going to sell out. If you expect one, your hopes will be really disappointed... I've noticed people here in Tampa just are not into basketball.. All about football with a lot of people here. Granted, with this year's football team, and the basketball's success last season, one would hope attendance will go up. However, I don't see it going up a significant amount just yet. I'd be really happy with 7-8k.
  7. Yes, it seemed fishy after a little more reading. That's why I editted my post. I didn't want to be a coward and completely erase my post, that's why I left in what I originally typed; I hope I didn't offend. Looking forward to next season! Good luck to your son, can't wait to see him in the Army All American game
  8. That thread is pretty worrying.. They seem to think the source is AW's dad.. If so, looks like if UT offers, AW will accept. Edit: On second thought.. I don't need to believe everything I read. I'm calm now.
  9. He had ONE good game last season and that was Marist. It was a joke to even consider going to the NBA. I hope he can prove me wrong and be a big factor for the team What!!!! When did you stop watching USF play last year, the end of the regular season? Rudd averaged 15pts and 7 rebounds the entire postseason. His play was the main reason USF season only ended after 2 wins in the NCAAT. Rudd will carry over his strong finish last season to this season. A consistent Victor Rudd makes USF a threat to win the BE this upcoming season. Btw his best regular season game was against St. John's where he had 24pts and 7 rebounds. St. Johns and Temple, he had great game. Also had good one vs Cal but so did everyone else. Ohio game he struggled though. I hope he can shoot 40% or better this year I think he should be able to. I read that he is going to be taking less 3 pointers, and he's going to try to get around 10 free throws a game. Only way I see that happening is if he takes it to the hoop and draws fouls. He's been working hard on his post and inside game over the summer supposedly. So I guess we'll find out pretty soon! Basketball season can't get here soon enough..
  10. I'm strangely drawn to hoops threads... basketball season can't get here soon enough. Stan picked a great time to make the basketball team relevant. You think Stan had anything to do with this?? You think it's a coincidence that we have our best hoops season in history and, in the same year, we may have our worst football season in history? .... The Eye of Sauron has shifted its' gaze. Yes, Gollum. He's looking at Frodo(Skip) now. Personally I think Frodo falls into a crack in Mt. Doom this time. People who grew up watching basketball have no clue what u guys are talking about. Just gotta say.. I grew up watching and playing basketball. It was my life for a good 15 years. But I know what they're talking about! I was always proud to be a geek as well! Also, I noticed somebody posted something to the effect that Victor Rudd should be up on the list. I agree to an extent, but I can see how he was left out. If he really has improved as much as I have heard, then he will be a beast this season. We'll see.
  11. I did a few different searches and I was surprised to see this hasn't been posted yet. But Anthony Collins has been named into the top 100 players in the nation at number 96. Can't wait for next month to get here! http://www.cbssports...top-100-players
  12. That is quite the understatement there! With two top 100 recruits already, this guy is icing on the cake. I think he's pretty under rated as of right now.. I'm glad we got him over Providence.
  13. It's funny you state this.. I am in the computer science and computer engineering department. And I know one student who chose USF over MIT, and my favorite PHd student/TA/teacher/awesome-guy-in-general chose USF over MIT as well. So it happens.. To OP, awesome for your son! He begins a fun journey!
  14. I think you are onto something with that statement. I have crossed paths with BJ in the past few years on campus, and it really shocked me the first time I saw him in person. He seemed really short to me. I am 6'3, and I'd say he was more like 5'10-5'11 than 6'0.
  15. I'm in **** tears right now...That was a **** great game, some great focus in the final few minutes... I'm gonna be enjoying this win! I can't wait to see the replay. I had to listen in on the radio. I loved the commentators on the radio.
  16. Uhh, not sure why you are making fun of that number.. .Sounds like a USF home game to me!
  17. If Temple can stop Maryland here in the Red Zone, they'll be in a decent spot.. They were looking pretty good before that deep throw.
  18. Just in case people are curious, here's the image he's referring to:
  19. I'd also wager that if this was Rutgers or Louisville, that we would be down quite a few points by now.
  20. I agree, I'm pretty disappointed so far.. But I'll hold total judgment for after the next couple of games.
  21. Good leg workouts??? I'll eat my own words. He has made a fan outta me...kinda. I still have bad images from the Miami game last year though he needs to get rid of.
  22. A positive: Our special teams look pretty **** good. I like our punter so far as well (I couldn't stand our Punter last year..)
  23. Defense has been pretty stout throughout the game... Don't know what you're talking about! On second thought, you could be talking about penalties!
