  1. I was thinking the same thing... I'd like to see the replay to see this blow to the head. I didn't catch it in the play itself.
  2. Screw that.. I'd much rather put my support behind AW than BJ Daniels. I just don't like BJ as a person, to be honest. I will still cheer for him while he's on the Bulls; but I would rather it be AW right now!
  3. I hate politics, especially in high school sports... Too much ******** to cut through. Not fair at all to the young athletes out there.
  4. I'm with Vega on this one... I feel like we can get far better. No offense to the kid, but he just doesn't look like a baller to me.
  5. 1. How was it handled? 2. What was the reason he wasn't he admitted? Aren't the answers to those questions kept from the public by FERPA? I'm going to assume by "the way it was handled" that he was referring to the fact that Austin took Summer B classes, and now they are denying him for Fall. Very misleading and heartbreaking to the kid.
  6. That's really unfortunate to hear. I hope he's able to stay calm and, and slide a lot!
  7. Yeah, we are going to have to play fast with an undersized team. So in that sense, that's exciting for recruiting purposes (I'm specifically talking about Grayson here). I can't see us playing as slow as last year; like Vega said above, we don't have a proper center with Austin gone. It's really sad to hear because a lot of us had high hopes for him. Can't wait until Egbunu gets here, I expect he should be able to come in for 20-25 mins as a freshman after his senior year in high school. I'm just very skeptical that Omog will be able to stay healthy to be a starter, not too mention I'm skeptical on his skillset. One thing's for sure, this year has become more interesting!
  8. They used a playmate. I would say sun dolls are not at that level (although some could be).
  9. Actually, he noticed that the DB was flat-footed. I was very impressed with that too. Great pre-snap read!
  10. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!! Really thought it was promising with all the replies
  11. After reading that article, I can see why Cincy fans think they have him in the bag.. It certainly sounded like it is the Bearcats to lose.
  12. Not that strange considering he isn't in the NFL... A lot can happen from now until that day comes to pass. LOL I see, I must have missed some inside joke. My bad!

  14. any reason other than monsterous size? Since Waverly just got here this summer, he's had to focus a lot on classes. Jordan's already been here a year and from what I hear has been very involved and puttig a lot of work in. I could easily be hearing wrong things, ad were still about 4 months away, but it's something that wouldn't surprise me. I don't think there's any chance of that to be honest. OMOG has been injured and focusing on rehab.. If I recall correctly, he tweeted about being on the floor for the first time in a while some time back in June or July. Meanwhile, Austin was earning All American in JUCO last year. I'm skeptical on Jordan a bit, I hope he can stay healthy with his big frame.
  15. I believe the answer to that particular question is none other than Waverly Austin. I really think he'll be our anchor down low offensively and defensively.
  16. Shoot, I missed it due to travelling. How was it? Anything noteworthy pertaining to USF?
  17. Well maybe he needed to get another 2 million. Egbunu and his team got beat by the shorter United squad that only had 4 players on the court against the Douglas team Egbunu plays for the last 7minutes of the game. . Getting beat 4 on 5 by a smaller team had to be embarrassing. WTF? How did that happen? Complacency? My guess is the shorter team had tons of talent, or some great shooters. Height /= skill (I'm not referring to Egbunu in this statement).
  18. I just hope I don't get the seats directly behind the hoop. I was at the Sun Dome the other day, my friend was giving me a tour of the renovations. And wow, there are quite a few seats that will have some terrible views. I know this is off topic a bit. On topic: I think flyers and such would help a lot as already stated. A simple email to students is not enough, many people just ignore it. Also, whenever I try to force out some of my friends to go to the basketball game, it is like pulling teeth. Not many basketball fans down here.. But like others have mentioned, I feel like there will be more student attendance due to last year's success, at least for the first couple of games. And as long as we win, there should be more and more students attending. Marketing needs to do a bit better of a job letting the students know when promotions are going on. For example, a couple of years ago, when they were giving away pizza for the first I think it was 50 or 100 students, nobody knew about it. There are other examples, but that's one that sticks out in my mind right now.
