  1. this. let players and assistant coaches focus on the field. Media is part of Head Coach's Job.
  2. Different program apples to coconuts True, Pitt and Miami have history and championships USF doesn't, but they seem to be shown better support from Heinz Field, et al. Isn't everyone always complaining about the Glazers and TSA when this subject comes up? Winning or not is the problem, not the location of the stadium we play in. Winning gets the support. Winning attracts students, alums, media, recruits, and donors.
  3. Fight the "Empire?" Thought we wanted Doug to fight our way in. Not sure how they can only let Power 5 ADs choose and this be any more "fair" than the current BCS. Then again, I don't think the change in the system was based on fairness, just money.
  4. I hear we have a good team muggles don't play quidditch.
  5. I agree. CWT seems to be driving us in the right direction and there seems to be a lot of excitement around him, but after having the same situation the last few seasons, its hard to get hopes up too high until we see the results on the field.
  6. I read through some of their explanation - and it does sound like a "sign-in using Facebook". In general, I'm not comfortable with that setup unless I trust both parties equally, and trust they will not share/access information between them. Even though it's just an API that's being used to access the Google credentials, it's something I'm not comfortable with. Even though it's an automated process, who can say for sure that they will never try to leverage that automated process to give themselves access to my Google account? By accepting their request for "permission to access Google credentials" I'm giving them the ability to access my account, and I don't see any type of legal language or User Agreement that would prevent them from doing so. Maybe I'll just create a "zombie" Google account and start using it for all these sites that insist on piggy-backing on Google's authentication system... I use chrome and Log in to chrome with my google account. Let me keep all my favorites and history accross multiple workstations. When I login to the feedly app, a gui pops up saying that the app is trying to access: 1) basic account info: -View your name, public profile URL, and photo -View your gender and birthdate -View your country, language, and timezone 2) Manage Google Reader: -View and manage your subscriptions, likes, and shares 3)View Email address I may be missing something, but it didn't seem like feedly would be getting my password, and only handling things I didn't care that it would handle.
  7. I've been using feedly, and I didn't think they worked that way. I had the same concern so I read into more. The Feedly founder had a good article explaining how they work, I think it was under their FAQs. I saw it as being no different than a "sign-in using Facebook"
  8. Thankfully he didn't say any school that shares a stadium with an NFL team ...... Honestly though, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if that didn't come up in tose smoke filled back rooms during discussions by those greedy bastards.. 99% sure IF a Big 12 invite is in our future, an on-campus stadium would be as well. The announcements might be made at the same time. The announcement that we might start a fund raising campaign (that may last over 10 years) may be made .. but you can't build a $400 million stadium with $0 dollars. There is nothing wrong with Raymond James for the next 10 or so years. Sometime we need to leave, but it doesn't have to be right away. Agree we need to not worry about leaving Ray Jay unless we get a $$ boost from a conference change.
  9. BUMP Anyone have new photos from around campus they don't mind sharing?
  10. They sell stuff like this in SkyMall too, though they don't advertise USF if they have it.
  11. Next semester's tradition vote will probably have vuvuzelas if the cowbell thing doesn't take off... I appreciate the effort, but it seems our only tradition is to vote what traditions to run with for a few months and see if it sticks. Would be nice if they could find something small that is already going and support it so it grows into a tradition.
  12. Hopefully CWT will correct this in the future.

  14. Gonna have to agree. It's like they don't even try.
  15. No ACC. Though they'd still be better than the current situation.
  16. Need this kind of drive after the last few years. Like that he has already said he will not settle for mediocrity.
  17. would it happen though? Woolard has already shown he'll up a salary at rumors of interest in the head coach. I know money could be tight, but If we got it, I'd think he'd spend it. EDIT: add to that the assumption that if he is successful enough at USF to attract other coaching gigs, he would be bringing USF more $$
  18. Also, they only ranked programs where the Entire degree could be attained through online classes. I never took a course using APEX, but sat in quite a few classes that had an APEX section, it seemed like a top-notch way to take a class online.
