  1. Why do you say we are in trouble? All reports during the spring point towards Pierre seizing the top spot and he looked fantastic in the spring game averaging over 5 yards a carry. In my opinion we need an explosive player at that position. I just don't see it with Pierre. I hope I am wrong! I'm with you on Pierre.
  2. Any word on how many of the offers are for QB besides ours? "He knows that everyone else is trying to get me for DB, but he knows I'm a quarterback deep-down inside" ...So I assume we're the only one. I guess it comes down to how much QB is buried deep down inside him.
  3. I think its impossible to predict what a freshman can do. Plenty of highly rated recruits redshirted before having good careers.
  4. I agree completely. They need to roll the dice. You don't overcome a lifetime of being Cleveland playing it safe.
  5. Cleveland has two picks in the first round, so its not as important for them to get one with their first pick. To me, Cleveland having two picks makes them even more likely to take him. Their crazy owner wants to make a splash in this draft. Quite a few draft mocks have had Manziel going to CLE. Same with Jax ... They just have a slightly less crazy owner. Remember how everyone thought the Jags would get Tebow just to sell seats? Manziel is a much more realistic NFL QB and he will put butts in seats. From a pure football perspective, I might go with a safer pick with the first one and then take a QB later. From what I'm reading, people are all over the board on who the best QB is of the pack, which sort of means there isn't a lot of separation between Manziel, Bortles, Bridgewater, and Carr.Or at least not clear cut separation football people can agree on. One of them will be available with that second pick.

  7. I think Bortles is the safest of the QBs, thats for sure. You don't get fired for picking a guy thats 6-5 235.
  8. Thats why I'm betting on Bridgewater getting picked regardless of the mock drafts (CBS hates Bridgewater, its amazing). It is a QB league. What makes you a better team in 2-3 years Bucs fans, Teddy/Manziel/Bortles or Mike Evans? Are you content taking Evans at 7 and getting Jimmy Garoppolo?
  9. Check the highlights on the post that says he's being strictly recruited as a qb by USF ... Per Rivals/247, committed to UNC last July but still taking visits ... What?!? Committed elsewhere and still entertaining offers from other programs?!? I guess we know the character of this individual and he is not Bull material.
  10. The side with people who've seen a football game before.
  11. I'm more than happy to take wagers on whether or not Manziel goes in the first round. I accept PayPal.
  12. Well, he's not going to be here in 5 years anyway. Either he blows it up and moves on, or he violation the bed and we're looking all over again. Lets hope for the first scenario.
  13. They aren't wrong when it comes to us. The rest might be open for debate.
  14. WTF??? Is West Virginia weather THAT bad ....? Hunnington is a dump, from the one time I flew in there & drove around with the in-laws. It looks like the 1970s refused to leave. Seriously. Agree. It's like the bastard stepchild of Pittsburgh and Birmingham With or without the Vulcan?
  15. I would have went with the headline, "Playing for USF Spoils Another Herget Gem."
  16. When did basketball start their league up again? I thought it folded in the early 90s.
  17. Great day for him. Campus is flooding right now.
  18. Pretty sure Masiello would have been hiring coaches and going after recruits, too ... So far looks like we've got a pretty good deal with COA but no way we'll ever know if it's a better deal than with Masiello or not. And we never will but that won't stop us from whining about it after Coach O's first loss - or the 2nd - or the...... you get the idea. You're too pessimistic. Its not like we sit around arguing over whether or not CWT was the right choice as football coach just because he lost a few games last year...
  19. The contrast between these two items is astounding. How do we have twice the ticket sales of UCF but lag so far behind in donations? Our graduates are cheap? You know, like lawyers that don't contribute??? Maybe they're investing in sleeves right now?
  20. No blame at all .... just kind of nice seeing players moving on to those type programs rather than UT-Pan Am and Furman. Hopefully, the quality of most of the players still here is similar ... I'm all in on the Spaniard.
  21. Whew. For a minute there I thought we wasted some talent. Tied for second in td receptions ... a major cog in our offense. Hahahahaha. Well played, sir.
