  1. Brad is adding it to the rules. "Holtz has never done anything good for USF."
  2. Everyone knows that players who leave USF are "quitters" who can't handle the hard work ethic demanded by new coaches CWT and COA. Players that leave other school to come to USF are natural born winners who want a coach that will demand more out of them. Also, Tampa has beaches.
  3. We paid McNeese $400k to come to our place and whip our ass, so MSU paying us $250k seems fair.
  4. http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2013/01/31/170764982/are-nfl-football-hits-getting-harder-and-more-dangerous "One thing is for certain — football players have gotten much bigger and faster."
  5. Pre-Harlan. Let's give him a chance. Of course, he'll be negotiating is a much reduced position of strength. We have absolutely zero to negotiate with. We had games last year people wouldn't/couldn't even watch on ESPN3.
  6. Can we just decline the AAC tournament invite and move right to looking for a new coach?
  7. I don't think you're allowed to block an entire state. I think the only thing you can block that won't get challenged is within conference and future opponents. And also, **** the Gators. Even still it's a ***** move to block transfer options. He wanted out let him out. Hem would be livid if a kid wanted to transfer from UF to USF and the transfer were blocked... That's a great point...says the team that got Dunkley & McFarland from UF. Don't forget Pupello.

  9. We celebrate doing what you're paid for at USF. Much like the thread about how the strength and conditioning coach was making players stronger, I'm pretty sure buildings and grounds is getting an award soon for trimming the hedges.
  10. I think I'm going to do a TED talk titled, "Are there more people in the world than there used to be?"
  11. tis what keeps life interesting! at least typical off season topics have seemed to be kept at bay... for now. This would have never happened if we had an OCS, the right color on our helmets, and proper marketing. Don't forget on-campus Publix! Now that would be something, one hell of a recruiting tool. Might have even been able to find some extra food for poor ole lynch. If we had an OCP, Jameis Winston comes to USF, and history is forever altered.[however, our co-eds are happy he went to FSU] If he comes to USF, we go 4-8 instead of 2-10, he doesn't even sniff the Heisman, and no one recognizes him as he walks out of the Publix with not just a crab but also the entire lobster tank.
  12. I was basically thinking, "Who the hell would take ANY time to argue that athletes aren't bigger, faster, and stronger and why would people listen to him say something so unbelievable easy to disprove?"

  14. If he wasn't bright enough to figure out that tweet was idiotic, there's not much else to say about what happened. Its like when kids fail drug tests before the combine, it speaks volumes even though its a relatively minor issue.
  15. I like the min league salary is 375k. I am sure he did not get anything above that, and he only makes that if he makes the team. He likely did get a bonus if the 5k range to sign as an undrafted fa. Plus players get a stipend for training camp.didnt someone say he got a better offer from the bears than lions? Yep. The Lions offered him $400k, the Bears reminded him they play Detroit.
  16. Their hands were tied the minute he got in the ring with Twitter.
  17. Twitter maintains its impeccable record of dishing out pain and suffering to all those who tangle with it.
  18. Same reason you watch USF games even though NBC has great coverage of Notre Dame games.
  19. I'm still hoping that we sign Jaleel Cousins. There is a thread for him on our recruiting board. He visited USF last month. His older brother Demarcus (NBA) played for CoachO at UK. Supposedly, Hawaii and Houston are in the mix for him. Interestingly, I found a Ruben Guerrero thread on a Spanish message board, that mentions Cousins. From the Google translation. It seems to me that it was started by his coach and left me with the impression that Cousins is coming to USF. What can you tell us for Which We do not follow the NCAA in Such detail ? Level ? Team? Competition ? Anything is welcome. They have had quite a few last week moved to South Florida With the whole issue of Masiello and all outputs avalanche of the coaching change . That I would say I was beginning to notice the hand of Orlando Antigua to add new names but not how it will hand in Guerrero had no idea what theme. Anyway , I guess I will be involved in. the decision. It Seems to me that Could have good minutes, speaking from the point of competition in the post , Because do not know the level of current Guerrero, but at Least Requested John Egbunu Within the ' transfer' , Victor Rudd has graduated , and Were the Most important two . I guess Chris Perry will be The most immediate competition on the inside , and then Brought to Jaleel Cousins of JUCO and HS To Have since joined Dre'Kalo Clayton . Sounds like a good decision on your part to end at USF . The arrival of Antigua will give you a point of growth for the program and You may also have a CAA minutes in all , not bad. Thank you very much for your answer , Slammer . http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://foros.acb.com/viewtopic.php%3Ff%3D1%26t%3D472558%26p%3D26225679&prev=/search%3Fq%3DJaleel%2BCousins%2B%2Busf%26start%3D10%26sa%3DN%26authuser%3D0%26gl%3Dus%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1187%26bih%3D510 Looks that way to me too. Here's the original Spanish, any cunning linquists on the board want to fill in the blanks? Thanks! The poster's grammar is horrendous. The posting was full of run-on sentences, and I would have structured the translation differently, but it would have taken me much longer to properly re-write what some guy wrote about Guerrero from Spain. el smazza?
  20. First, our opinions mean squat. Second, Hans' opinion really means squat, too, since the question was posed to CWT by Jim Harbaugh. Hans wasn't asked for his opinion. Point 2B, unless you've talked with CWT about it, you have no way of knowing if CWT agrees with Hans or not. CWT vouched for Lynch to a guy he trusts more than just about anyone else, leading that guy to spend a draft pick on Lynch and likely pay him a high sum of money. I seriously doubt that if CWT agreed with Hans, he wouldn't have lied to Harbaugh. Now ... if Lynch had issues at ND, and then apparently had them here (Hans' tweet is proof that at least one person thinks so), either CWT doesn't know what's going on with some guys in the locker room, or Hans is flat out wrong in his judgement of Lynch. That's a whole different issue. Your first point is what I want to echo. The question isn't whether he was correct about Lynch, the issue is he had no place doing it like he did. Also Io me the fact that Taggart will tell his brother that a guy is okay - I have a hard time thinking he's as bad as Hans and a lot of fans think he is. +1
  21. I don't have any doubt what he said was true, but you can't have a member of the coaching staff shooting off on Twitter about past or present players.
  22. Why would they need to do that, when it's already called "soccer" here? They already say "American football" pretty much everywhere else. LOL, I already do, when speaking with foreign friends. Agree with NC, it's only a matter of time. Or maybe, we take a cue from down under, and call it "Ammy Rules"? Matter of time = maybe when my grandkids are about to become grandparents ... You are probably more cultured than 99% of us on this board, so how you refer to the sport doesn't really factor into the mainstream. This is where Leviathan's argument kicks in. We are nowhere near calling soccer "football" in this country. In the United States, football is played with a brown, oval-shaped ball that bounces funny and where you have to use your hands. Period. In slicks's argument, American football is outlawed.
