  1. So...there is no benefit for people using the name of your business to describe the venue every single time its mentioned?
  2. http://gallery.tinyletterapp.com/df67179cb6350a37972cce8908b4ed18ec7a08ba/images/e28dd483-e006-402b-b7f4-9302eff77df3.gif
  3. Where to start. We are talking about $400 a year? Seriously? Out of a minimum of $21k? It is always funny to me that there is never a news story about subsidies paid to athletic departments at P5 schools.
  4. Serious question. Is USF that big in Tampa that even casual fans would interview this guy, immediately recognize his name and pass on him for employment? Sounds pretty unbelievable unless you bought down Auburn or Texas or Georgia.
  5. Most every Div I team does this now to control the environment as much as possible the last 24 hours. Our guys are at the Westin Buckhead Atlanta.
  6. http://espn.go.com/watchespn/roadblock?watchsrc=true&device=ios&gameId=400547646&league=NCF Just got to the ESPN USF page and at the top it will show the game score by quarter in a box. At the bottom of the box your options are Recap Watch Replay Box Score
  7. LMAO Loud! Thanks for the laugh guys.
  8. Cut the cord 2 years ago and do not miss it. Have 2 smart TVs and one Roku 3 plus a Sony "smart" Blu Ray player. Also have antennas on TVs and get over 50 channels locally OTA. Also have Hulu Plus and Netflix for less than $25 a month after paying $180 per month for Directv. Have more shows than I know what to do with and the rare show that isnt on Hulu or Netflix is always on Amazon. About the only change I will make is from my nondescript ISP to Comcast this summer so I can get ESPN3.
  9. Fire an AD. Get an $8M gift. Duly noted. Congratulations. http://www.unstoppable.usf.edu/fnd_web/press-releases-details.aspx?ID=1680
  10. As a long suffering fan of another school with an ineffectual 62 year old ex St. Louis AD...CONGRATS
  11. 2005: 45, 139 at Raymond James Stadium 2006: 46,708 at the Citrus Bowl 2007: 65,948 at Ray Jay 2008: 46,805 at Brighthouse Networks Stadium Attendance numbers actually are pretty close to butts in seats for these games. This year will be a sellout in Orlando and next year will probably be a minimum of 50k in Tampa. Thanks for confirming that. I think the person who was saying otherwise was looking at it through his FSU glasses. He also posted a pic. But its halftime in an NFL stadium.
  12. I see. So how many butts in seats did you guys have for those games.
  13. Was wondering if anyone has pictures of the crowd from you previous games in Tampa and Orlando. There is a debate on our board regarding our game next year vs. Georgia Southern and a detractor is saying that nobody cares about the USF/UCF rivalry and that the attendance figures are not a true reflection of the crowds that attended the four previous games.
  14. This is the best way. Students are not going to walk far from the tailgate. The majority of students are in lot 14 and are not going to come anyways.... this isn't directed toward the students. Sorry, didnt realize all of your tailgate lots arent on the same side. All of ours is in the Orange and Brown lots. We havent gotten Falcon sized yet to have to use the Yellow and Blue lots on the North Side. So yeah in your case that should work out fine.

  16. My two cents from experience... At GSU in our first 3 years there was a Panther Walk of sorts at the Dome. The team buses pulled in to the lot underneath a parking Deck nearest the North (Gate E) entrance to the stadium because it was closest to our locker room. Taigating is in the South side lots so you had to walk literally around the stadium and down some steps one level to get to the "Panther Walk". There were never more than a hundred people and normally only a few dozen and virtually no students. Our new coach Trent Miles has moved the Panther Walk so that the buses will let out on the South side between the tailgate lots and the players will walk a half block and into the stadium from there. Further walk for them? Yes. But its a better experience for both the teams and fans. We heard many of the same objections from our athletic department for 3 years. But our new HC was adamant that this should happen.
  17. Were told by the NFL it WILL not happen. This whole new stadium deal is the train robbery of the century. The NFL is giving the Falcons a $200 million loan. And the city $200 so they only need to raise $600 million plus and are all set. IIRC the NFL loan is $800M
