  1. This! No matter how many top out of conference teams any G5 schedules they will always say the conference top to bottom is weak. This was deal that never should have happend without the examination of a possible legal fight.
  2. Now their AD is giving all of the coaching staff championship bonuses as dictated by their contract. Yeah, they are going hard core on this.
  3. Your resume is impressive. Congrats! Oh I suspect there are plenty of old dudes all over that not only don’t get but never want to get it. Now, if USF players decide to tie a cow nipple around their head after an interception I could be supportive of that.
  4. Another way to look at it: the National Championship game is four days away against two blue bloods of college football and the only talk that is going on is about ucf. Mama Espin must be totally pissed.
  5. I know that is the conventional opinion but I think they would have been at #5. I can’t see them knocking off one loss teams Ohio State and Washington. Again, I can’t give the bias of a playoff committee that much credit.
  6. To put together a schedule that would allow an AAC team to get into the playoffs is impossible. You would need to schedule three top ten teams (and doing this looking five years in the future). You would also, more than likely, play at their place. Of course you would also have the challenge of actually beating those three teams. Next, you would have to go undeafeted in conference play. With all of that, it still may not be enough.
  7. My bad I thought the discussion was CJL. NEB Report Card- Reading comprehension = F
  8. The dude is 61 years old, if he is going to be an nfl coach his window of opportunity is closing fast.
  9. I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical. Thomas Jefferson
  10. I seem to remember the big boosters saying that about CJL and we found a reason to fire him and hire Skippy Poo...be careful of what you wish for.
  11. That’s an excellent point Brad and one I did not think of when I started the thread. My bad.
  12. What did he say? It seems to me he has kept a low profile with the ucf faux championship
  13. Can they shovel a 100 yard driveway in 1 ft of snow that quickly? Silly question of course they could! Lol
  14. I would also submit that there are quiet a few in the media who support the actions of ucf relative to the increase of the number of playoff teams.
  15. I would suspect that less than 5% of the voters put that type of analysis into their selection. If USF falls to #25 after being ranked #23 and having won their bowl, there should be an investigation.
  16. I respectfully disagree. Regardless of points, I think USF simply moves due the loses directly in front of them. They did not beat anyone great but a 10-2 record will hold “some” weight in the end. I still think 20 is about right. Of course in the end it is all semantics as the only ones caring about the difference in #23 and #20 are the people on this board.
  17. So you would advocate getting rid of him? Dropping a coach after only one year will make it very difficult for anyone to want to coach you at the school
  18. I see your point but I don’t think it harms them as this discussion is now tied to whole “G5 can never get into the playoff” debate. Indeed, the argument for 8 teams getting in is getting more media traction this morning than I have ever seen it. The action of appointing themselves champion is hokey from a pure scientific follow the rules perspective, but CFB is always emotional and subjective as there are too many teams and not everyone can play everyone. Thus, some of the media are picking up on this and supporting it.
