  1. My point was not necessarily to identify the Big10 but any power5 conference other than the Big12. However, Now that you mention it, I wonder, going foward how much the Big10 hangs onto their AAU policy. Nebraska is no longer a member and there are many schools in the AAC the Big10 would probably love to have that do not have that classification. The money that CFB is generating for P5 schools is hard cash, while AAU is more status and not necessarily a “direct” revenue gain. For example, USF is not AAU but it does not prevent them from making substantial money on the massive number of patients it has. AAU Recognizes this but is not the means to that end.
  2. I think USF as a whole would want AAU status first and foremost (no question this is what Judy would want). I would concur if the P5 conference is the B12 as it is likely to implode anyway. But if it was between the ACC/Big10 and AAU status...I personally would take the P5 move up.
  3. What if.......... lets say that the the P5 becomes the P4 as many have advocated above. Then let’s say the P4 indicates they intend to break away from the NCAA and form their own athletic govern body. 1. Can the AAC do anything (legally)? 2. What impact does this have on the AAC in general and USF specifically (do we just die away)?
  4. Q up the Floyd Christmas meme: “so your saying there is a chance?” 3, 2, 1...
  5. Answering my own question Saturday, January, 20th East West Shrine Game 2:00 pm NFL Network / NFLN Video NFLPA Collegiate Bowl 3:00 pm FS1 / FSGo Video Saturday, January, 27th Senior Bowl 1:30 pm NFL Network / NFLN Video
  6. Perfect thanks! I only see one of these on tv, hope the others are available. I usually don’t watch these games as they are typically not very entertaining but I really want to see how our seniors hold up against very good competition.
  7. Hot **** you are a genus Mama! The only problem for me is that I would have to trash over $2000 in clothing, chairs, mats, flags, etc. with the Bulls horn logo.
  8. If Oklahoma makes it to the playoffs a number of years before tv contracts are reopened it is possible they will want to stay in the Big12. This would be a lot easier than being successful in the Big 10 or sec. if Oaky stays TX woukd too.
  9. Can someone give a listing of these all star games and what bulls are playing in them? Starting to lose track of who, when, and where.
  10. Pretty cool to start college as a freshman in what would have been the final few months of high school life. Gives those kids a little more time to adjust to college while still getting out for spring ball.
  11. How much more time do they need? They been playing FB for 100 years. In terms of money, my guess is that their alumni are quite wealthy and the school has a pretty high tuition cost. I say off with their heads! As for Tulsa their oilmen must have paid off someone. ECU? Well they serve their purpose as the whipping post.
  12. Man, that game against WSU is going to be bad...like baby seal bad.
  13. The nation does not watch MLB baseball anymore and college baseball is not even in the radar screen for most people (I do love USF baseball myself though). Thus, keeping them around for that is not enough. In terms of academics I get that, but at this point it might be time to make push for programs that have more balance with athletics and football success. NOTE: I know this will not happen...just my opinion.
  14. Can we pull a ucf and simply say that Flowers won the Heisman?
  15. Can we get rid of Tulane and Tulsa at the same time? Pretty please...
  16. Nice pick up mama. Well, I guess we will see how well we fly under the radar versus being the hunted. I do think we will be “others receiving votes” in the preseason AP...might be pretty down at the bottom though.
  17. One of better yet lest known founders...showed some stones by not signing the constitution. Incidentally, my daughter is looking at this school if USF does not come through.
  18. Some perhaps. Without question, based on his writings, TJ knew owning leaves was wrong. However, he had no choice but continue the ugly practice as he was always in debt (one author said he had compulsion to buy like a gambler likes to bet and it was a psychological issue with him). I also don’t think, even if he could have controlled his spending, Jefferson had the stomach to be a trend setter relative to slavery. I wonder what he would have thought of the faux ucf Championshilp LOL!
  19. That’s only one perspective of the most contradictory founding father. Although he failed socially (and that can be argued against from the perspective of his times), his intellect is non debatable.
  20. They are crawling out of the woodwork....
