  1. Remember heading into the season we thought we had our deepest WR corps in years? Oops.
  2. I disagree with booing Floyd... he is a green QB... booing Holtz on the other hand is okay by me. I agree, but I don't think that was a boo to Floyd. Landi, despite not playing QB in years actually moved the ball some. I think the auto-response of bringing in Floyd caused the boos on Holtz. I think we all wanted to see Landi take us to that rare earth called the end zone. I booed Skip for taking Landi out of the game. It had nothing to do with Floyd.
  3. I think he's better suited as the Group Hug Coordinator and Juice box Distribution Supervisor.
  4. Looking at two recent examples, if Skip is still our coach come Tuesday then I'm afraid we are stuck with him. 1. Tennessee fired Derek Dooley during a miserable season (4-7 and 0 wins in the SEC) and right after a loss to Vanderbilt. Their next game was against Kentucky, a sure win. They found it easier to justify firing a coach BEFORE playing what they saw was winnable. 2. The LA Lakers fired Mike Brown after an 0-3 start. Their next two games? Home against the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings, two games where the Lakes would be heavily favored. The Lakers thought it was better to fire Brown at 0-3 before he would beat a couple of cupcakes and improve to 2-3. So USF football is at that point right after Tennessee lost to Vanderbilt and the Lakers dropped their third game. The next game on the schedule is winnable (although Pittsburgh played pretty well today). If Skip is fired before next weekend then we have an interim coach lead the team against Pitt, basically a game where the team is playing for pride. Win or lose, nothing really happens and the coaching search begins. If Skip keeps his job and "leads" the Bulls against Pitt and the team wins then it will be much harder to justify firing a coach who "rallied" to keep the Panthers out of a bowl game. I feel the administration is letting Skip audition to keep his job. If we win against Pittsburgh next Saturday, we lose because Skip might have kept his job and 4-8 is acceptable to those writing the checks. And if we lose to Pitt, we just went 3-9 with 1 Big East win.
  5. It doesn't matter. Even if the 2013 game is at UCF and they crush us, the 2014 game will be at Ray Jay and they'll murder us then too.
  6. Do not want. May as well throw in Tulane while you are at it. Tulane has a hard enough time maintaining a viable FBS program. Louisiana Tech would be the better pick. Starting a new conference would allow us to kick Tulane, Southern Miss and UAB to the curb since they don't offer a whole lot.
  7. The Big East is dead or at least it should be. C-USA is probably about to die too. Perhaps we should start from scratch and focus more on a new Southern conference. A conference of USF, UCF, Georgia State, East Carolina, Charlotte, Old Dominion, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Arkansas State, Tulsa, Houston, SMU, UTSA, and Texas State has much better long-term viability.
  8. I'd trade places with WVU in a heartbeat. UTx and TT are so much better than Temple and Memphis...
  9. they wouldn't self-impose a bowl ban if they weren't bowl eligible, though it would be funny to see them announce that if it were the case lol. they could impose a bowl ban before the season ever started. I bet they wouldn't have self imposed a ban if they were 11-1. 6-5. go to crappy bowl or make ncaa feel like we are contrite to lessen any further penalties. real tough call You consider the Orange Bowl a crappy bowl?? when did they get an invite? I must have missed it. When did they get an invite to a crappy bowl? I must have missed it. they are bowl eligible. they were assured a bowl invite. at 6-5 it's likely they were going to get an invite to a crappy bowl. They would have likely been a top 4 ACC bowl choice and none of those are crappy bowls .... Just stop and admit you posted that without really knowing about the situation. If Clemson knocks off South Carolina, they (Clemson) could get a BCS at-large game. This would have made Miami a top contender for the Chick Fil A Bowl against a decent SEC team - possibly LSU, Mississippi State or South Carolina. This is a big deal.
  10. My ticket rep sits in my row...I suspect he is well aware of my feelings toward the current regime.
  11. Hire a "head coach in waiting (for skip to leave or his contract to run out". I like it. Who's going to hang around this dumpster fire that long?
  12. We could always take a page from Cleveland Browns fans from a few years ago and boycott the kickoff. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4605603
  13. This year a 12-0 Ohio Bobcats would probably secure the spot over a Louisville or Rutgers that ends up 10-2 or 9-3. I don't see this being good for us.
  14. The later the game starts the less time the score will scroll across the bottom of all other college football games...that will probably be a good thing for us.
  15. What's Tony Dungy doing these days? He has local roots and parents would line up to send their sons to be mentored by him.
