    So much for it being the public square. Xitter will be replaced with something identical to what it used to be soon enough. Just a matter of time before it goes away. Such a shame for such a recognizable brand that was thrown in the toilet.

    Going independent would probably mean the death of the program. With the playoffs coming, we need to be able to win a conference.

    I think this graphic pretty clearly shows that USF belongs in the ACC. Our TV numbers are going to skyrocket once we actually start winning consistently again. This graph includes some of the most difficult USF football to watch.

    Been to wvu @ USF. Amazing game, but doesn’t hold a candle to USF @ Auburn as far as loudness. You could feel the air rush out of the stadium when Grothe threw the overtime TD. 80,000+ people all shutting their screaming mouths in unison. Never experienced anything like it before or again.

    Never made sense for the league (FBS) with over 100 teams to have less playoff spots than the NFL. Even less sense that playoffs didn’t previously exist at all.

    I actually did the math. Their stadium cost $244M 9 years ago. Roughly how much we are spending. EDIT: adjusted for inflation at 3% each year and then 7% the last year. Comes out almost exact to what we are spending. Could have done something like this with 10k less seats. It even kinda looks like a bull ring. The design we got... idk cool heptagons bro.

    Even if adjusted for inflation, we should be getting something that looks more like baylor's stadium, not fau.

    I don't think i'm alone in being very underwhelmed by what was shown, considering the price tag. Whatever "designer" threw this job together in Photoshop doesn't exactly inspire confidence in design capabilities.

    The renderings are a big disappointment for how much money we are spending. Not sure why everyone is fellating Populous. All of the designs in their portfolio look like weird soccer stadiums. I would vote we go back to the drawing board and ditch Populous too.

    The ACC losing FSU and Clemson is no where as devastating to them as the Big 12 losing OK and TX. ACC will still be a more attractive conference than the one with central.

    i agree with whoever was talking about all the weird shapes. I guess that's what makes it a "modern" design. Would prefer a more closed look (keep the sound in) with some actual shade. The modular steel look doesn't look very $340M. Very stoked on the location though!

    in some regional conference with Miami, UCF, and FAU (maybe FSU too).

    universities do pay taxes.

    If a team like USF went undefeated, they'd be in a 12-team playoff, regardless of being in the AAC. USF usually has good OOC games.
