  1. CWT has given up on trying for a win by letting his pride get in the way by not putting Bench in. Remember while Bench was in last week, we scored 28 pts (2 passing TD's) to QF's 23.
  2. QF can't throw consistently. We can't think about coming back w/o a passing game. But CWT's pride won't let him put Bench in.
  3. USF winning would be a "First Class Ticket" to the TWILIGHT ZONE. I remember my last visit to the TWILIGHT ZONE after beating FSU at their house. Hope to make that trip a second time. What a blast!!!
  4. If Harlan thinks it is so safe in Ybor, I would like to see him walk the streets of Ybor, like 7th Ave, from about midnight to 3 AM, on a Saturday night. Especially on a home game night when there are a lot of opposing fans in town, and emotions are running high, and maybe visit the Orpheum. Gonzmart won't do it, I'll bet. His restaurant closes by midnight and I'll bet he is no where near Ybor at midnight, let alone at 1 or 2 or 3 AM. My solution or compromise is to ban the players from Ybor just on home game nights, when emotions are running high so no one gets hurt. And if Gonzmart is so high on Ybor, and Watson was killed there, then Gonzmart should pay for Watson's funeral expenses, since Watson was killed in Gonzmart's safe city. He did convince Harlan to overturn CWT's decision, so it must be safe, right? Oh, Harlan did not do what he did on CWT behalf, he did it because of pressure from a big donor and just overrode CWT. Harlan was doing great up until now.
  5. Lol! And thanks to Taggert we left 8 points on the field that should be on the scoreboard.
  6. But yet we're all so confident in Tags choice of starting QB this year. J/K guys. Just like I'm confident we will go undefeated.........NOT!!!!!
  7. I think we have that guy in Harlan and he better do whatever it takes to get us into a P5 conference. we have seen progress in basketball with the COA hire now lets hope Willie gets it turned around in an hurry or Harlan brings in someone that does and makes us more relevant. As far as OCS goes we are heading for that but we can't do it until we have a team that gets people to show up. A new OCS might bring in a decent crowd for 1 year with a crappy team and now we are losing $$$ so we have to get a winning team and bring excitement back to the program Heard today from someone that Harlan is out of town until next Wednesday. They did not know where he went or why. I can only hope he is working on the football problem and/or conference problem.
  8. If you are being sarcastic, enough is enough. Please stop. We get it. If you are serious, and don't like what's going on in the TBP, please leave.
  9. If Taggart hasn't had his meeting with the A.D., then his meeting with the OC and the DC would not surprise me. That way Taggart can tell them what lies he's going to tell Harland about our poor performance on the field this year and tell them they better go along or he'll make it hell for them if they're still around come next season. Just like the lies he has been feeding us all season. Like our poor performance on the field this year is everybody else's fault but Taggarts. Our poor performance this year is due to multiple injured players due to the head coach throwing them under the bus and not taking any responsibility himself.
  10. And will make it harder for us to get a GOOD coach in when the time comes.
  11. Just keep in mind that if attendance drops below a certain level, we could be down graded and put into a lesser conference. That will make it that much harder to move back up and then try to get into any conference, including the AAC. I will renew for the sake of the players and the school. But I will make sure Harlan and Pres. G know exactly how I feel and why in other ways rather than not renewing. And this board is not the way or place to do it. By not renewing you are only hurting the players. They aren't at fault, the coaching staff is the problem. And I believe Harlan knows it and will deal with it in short order, since our season ends in a week. If he doesn't, I will be very surprised.
  12. CWT is making the bus ride rougher by throwing his players under the bus again. After the Memphis game he said he would have started Flowers if it hadn't been for his family situation and his traveling this week. Yet it was White that saved his butt last week and got us a win. I wonder how what CWT said will make White feel? Then after White got hurt he puts Flowers in for a short time then pulls him and puts Bench in. Wonder how that made Flowers feel? Yet after White was injured, he said that he would be okay and be back and ready for the UCF game. That indicates to me that White was told that he was the starter today with no stipulations attached. Wonder if White will question where he stands after hearing that Flowers was suppose to start? CWT keeps spinning the quarterback stories and lack of a decision regarding who his quarterback is so it always looks like our losing or poor performance is the fault of one of the quarterbacks and never the fault of his coaching or playcalling. He should be in politics the way he spins everything so that all the problems are somebody else's fault and not his. I have yet to hear him accept responsibility for the poor performance and play calling this season. Makes me wonder what and how many other stories he has told us and spun to make himself look good to the fans? We all know this is not the first time he has thrown his players under the bus this year. As for me, I don't believe a word he says anymore based on what I've seen and heard this year from him versus what actually happened. The problems and losses are always someone else's fault, not his. Have never heard him admit that that anything was his fault, when in reality he is ultimately the one responsible since he is the head coach. The question is, for how long?
  13. I guess the Taggart ERROR has rubbed off on some .......because of your cynicism.
  14. And judging by your comments in this thread, you will be the first to do it. This board is for supporters of our teams and you don't seem to be one. Weren't you taught if you can't say anything nice, not to say anything? No one is saying we are going to win the NCAA championship. What we are saying this that this team is young, with only 4 players being Jr or Sr. The rest are Fr and Soph. So comparing this team and coaching staff to last year's, there is a vast improvement in both performance and attitude. And with the constant input from the coaching staff during games, it helps keep the players focused and hustling. Unlike last year when our offense was like watching grass grow; stalling for 30 sec and then forcing a shot in last 5 sec, this team takes it to the basket or takes a shot when the opportunity is there to put points on the board. Even with them being young and inexperienced, it will be an interesting and entertaining season as they continue to develop and improve as the season continues. Like others have said, I believe they are going to surprise some people, especially for being one of the youngest teams this year. And Coach A is the one that will bring out the best in all of them. Oh, have you actually been to either game? I have season tickets and have been to both.
  15. Agree, I also think rebounding will be a bigger issue against some teams as this USF team is not large. I am loving the run and gun from the offensive side. I have not seen that at USF in many years. Agreed! Vast improvement over the previous regime's style of play. Free throws were a definite problem but COA addressed it during post game radio show and said they will be shooting a lot of them tomorrow. As for rebounding, I assume Guerrero our 6' 11" center is injured since he did not dress out, which would have helped the rebounding. But considering there is 1 Sr and 3 Jr's and the rest of the team is Soph and Freshmen, I think they played very well. Love the run and gun. They have to stay in the game mentally the whole game and can't afford to get lax like they did the last 5 minutes or so. Coach addressed that also. Can't wait to see them improve as this season progresses.
  16. No one should have to experience that. Such an act of cowardice and stupidity to take an innocent life. Praying for QF and his family.
  17. Wrong. This is on both. CWT for poor coaching and leaving White in when he can't mentally handle it. And White for not having the mentally strength to keep his head in the game and not pulling himself instead of continually making mistakes that hurt the team. White May be great in practice, but Bench seems to be the one that produces in the game, when he is actually given a chance.
  18. Hopefully! And if they don't, hopefully someone else will. Then we won't have to put up with his excuses, which all of them seem to blame the players, but never the coaching staff, and won't have to pay him for not coaching, like we are paying Holtz. That is why our players play so poorly; they are injured by being thrown under the bus by Taggert and then run over by it.
  19. Yeah, stupid.... OK, make it Green towels, and I may get on board. I am not listening to every ******* Pittsburgher piss on me that we stole their towel. I am going to put this as politely as I can, unlike you, and in no particular sequence. Did you ever hear, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything". It is a good rule to follow. IMO "stupid" was uncalled for. Also I think you missed the intent of this thread, which I believe was just to add some fun to the overall situation, and maybe start a new tradition, whether it be the towel or something else. If in fact you are a CPA, I would have expected a more "professional" response. It is comments like yours and others, that is the reason I have not posted in years, though I have followed the BP the whole time. And as a cpa that deals in facts, logically yellow shows up on tv better than green when waved, don't you agree? I have also seen on tv over the years watching college ball, that there are a few schools that use colored towels already. So I don't think a yellow towel would be a problem. Also I have had horns on the front of my pickup since 2004 but it didn't seem to help during the last 4 years. Again the point of all this was to have some fun and there was no need for you to get "pissy" about it.
  20. Not so great when the golden shower crowd is at the RJ. Who cares. RJ is our house, not theirs. We should not base what we do because of others.
  21. I think you got a bad batch of drugs or something. Just because he had a good one half of one game does not qualify him as a good, let alone great, quarterback. I agree he has potential. I also agree that he could very well be a force to be reckoned with by his senior year. But to call him NFL ready now, no way!
  22. As a native from Pittsburgh, I have seen the power of the Terrible Towel in action. I have seen it take the Steelers to 6 Super Bowl victories. For those teams that have defaced and the famed it, I have seen them go into prolonged losing streaks. And upon publicly apologizing to the Steeler nation, they began to win again. I just wish that I had thought to do the same thing and thought to do it sooner. Shame on me. But I will wave mine at each game, both home and away, for the rest of the season, if that is what it takes to win. I had no idea it would work for the Bulls, just thought it was for the Steelers. My bad!
  23. Will definitely be there. Have had season tickets for 14 yrs and only missed one home game. The Bulls are my team and I will be there to support them in good times and bad. AND THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
