  1. I plan to make the long trip down from Hickory to Charlotte. Now contemplating other opportunities to watch what has become an entertaining bunch. AAC tourney beckons but may have a family conflict.
  2. "Lanky, quirky" is a fitting description of KP. Also liked the invite at the end. We need to invite many more to the party.
  3. Oh, I wasn't knocking his play against Wichita. Just noting that others stepped up to replace his scoring, which hasn't always happened in the past.
  4. If nothing else, he should get an award for most entertaining player to watch. It's hard to describe him and his game but it sure is fun.
  5. It's not a long shot if you keep throwing winning the tourney in there. Nobody's saying it's a long shot to win this conference's tourney the way this team looks .. I just think it's got to be win the tourney to get in. We'll see and I hope this team makes it a moot point and just wins it all.
  6. Or AAC conference tourney this year? Just curious if turnaround has elevated interest at all and, if so, where.
  7. Crazy, unpredictable, not always classically pretty but often a lot of fun. I will be really interested to see how this season unfolds and how the Bulls ultimately fare.
  8. It seems unreal and so un USF-like. I almost cry every time he makes one.
  9. I think winning 3 in the last 4-game stretch was telling. It looks like the team may be rounding into a real team that does not have to rely on any one or two players to be successful. I didn't think the Wichita State win was a thing of beauty, but it was heartening to see others step up when Selton Miguel had an off game.
  10. The 10th ranked team lost to 2 unranked teams in a row (USF & Tulane) and Wichita St is 8-10. That first win was a good win, for now. If Memphis keeps losing, it's not as important of a win come tournament time. And Wichita St is on a 7 game losing streak, that was a game we are supposed to win at home. This isn't a Gregg Marshall coached Wichita State team. It is a looooong shot, but still better than no shot in some years....
  11. I was surprised how good they looked when I watched them play. I expect them to be a tough out.
  12. Maybe we can emulate that UConn run that started with the first AAC tourney a decade ago.
  13. Maybe he took a page from the Quinn Ewers playbook and can get paid by a couple of different schools before playing a down. I'm just (Julian) Sayin....
  14. Litigation is really just an inevitable part of the modern-day college football realignment process. Seems no one likes the process but they all want to taste more $$$$$.
  15. Watching that game, particularly the second half, was nothing short of amazing. That came after Seth spent halftime show talking up Memphis. I think Penny's Tigers they were ultimately victims of the Greenberg curse. Here's hoping the Bulls can keep the run going. Go Bulls!
  16. We've always been a cheer/mascot school. Congratulations to the one and again champs!
  17. Sad. And also kind of sad that I have lost touch with so many of the oldtimers from USF basketball fandom days.
  18. Every time I see that I think of Beatrice, I guess it shows our age, who in the hell is named Beatrice anymore. Andy and Sarah's daughter, just a few bad days from the throne.
  19. I think the topic is stimulating interest on the board due to the brave new world of college football we’ve entered with the realities of NIL and the transfer portal upending the sport. In addition, not sure there are too many cases of kids wanting to go back to their original school after chasing NIL deals. Interesting all around, in my opinion. Plus, what the feck are going to talk about until the Spring game I too wish Battie well. He seemed like a good kid on top of being a hell of a player. I’m sure he’ll end up fine at Auburn. I too wish Battie and, for that matter, any other former Bulls transfers well. I don't begrudge any student athlete their choices. But they have to make their decisions and live with them just like the rest of us mere mortals.
  20. Not really, we closed off the end zones which is why we did sell out the 49k allotted but easily could have sold thousands more. They wanted everyone sideline to sideline for the optics. They had strings up to close off the area however the crowd eventually ignored them and spilled over into these seats. 18 inches per ass is asking a lot, even back then. Yeah, I brought 8 to that first one and many thereafter. And I'm not sure what the last phrase means but you have piqued my interest.
  21. How long you been a Bulls fan? Sometimes it feels like much too long. Into my 52nd year and seen a lot of hard times on the hardwood in my time. Oh, and way, WAY too many missed free throws.
