  1. Still eyeballing that trip. I need a better travel concierge this time though. Last time I followed USF to Texas (Austing for the 2021 Super Regional), I ended up with a Bulls' loss, an $80 barbecue lunch and a heart condition that landed me in the hospital a long stretch.
  2. Not sure the American matches up with some other conferences on quality, but on competitive, entertaining games it has been one of the best I have watched this season. The Bulls, of course, have contributed mightily to that.
  3. Yep. We can learn from our pals. Live in the moment.
  4. A tough lesson kiddies: Even if you are very, very good, you may not get everything you wish for.
  5. I would love for this to become a problem we actually have to worry about.
  6. When I was in school, we had to go to Curtis Hixon or the State Fairgrounds if we wanted to storm the court. It was a 50-mile walk uphill both ways in the snow. And we liked it!
  7. that would be historic, I may die of a heart attack if that happens Not wishing you any ill health, but...
  8. if that is true, would the opposite also be true? Should one declare anything a homerun hire or a good hire before a season plays out? I can admit I was 100% wrong on basketball. I hated this hire. We hit a homerun, and as much as I hate early extensions we may need to do it here. Pay this man. Football, I hated as well. We are 100% moving in the right direction, however I am still not as convinced as others that we are as good as many on this board think. Golesch gets an A for last year. Solid hire at this point, but I am not convinced we see the amount of success so many expect next year. For the record I loved the Jeff Scott hire, the Strong hire, the Taggery hire, and the Holtz hire. I loved the Heath hire, hated Antigua, and liked Gregory. So I am not always anti hires. Edited 23 minutes ago by flsportsfan83 USF coaches remind me of my past marriages. I am always enthusiastic and in love until the prove me wrong. And I have also learned to consider whether it will cost me more to keep them or let them go.
  9. If we can just win out through April 8 I think the rankings will all work out....
  10. I have never understood the rationale behind this chant. Perhaps this is why we can't boost our NET rating or get ranked. Every team we beat is simply overrated.
  11. Good to see a complete combination of team performance, marketing success and fan enthusiasm. Wait, is that really USF I am seeing?
  12. Just got back from weekend celebrating 10 years with my bride, whom I met at a USF basketball game. That was the best thing that ever happened to me being a Bulls basketball fan ... up until this year. Games are fun again. I am looking forward to seeing where this all leads but, for now, just enjoying the ride. Very proud of what the Bulls have done this year and they have shown they can win in many ways -- come from behind, hang on at the end, etc. The key is they are actually winning the games instead of just coming close. Who knew a USF team could shoot from both the three-point and the free throw lines?. And who knew all those Dome seats could actually hold human bodies? Truly a remarkable season. Go Bulls!
  13. Now win and keep all them folks wanting to come back to the YC in the future. Go Bulls!
  14. They wear purple. If that helps. B's BBQ and the Golden Corral Culinary Center?
  15. Let's play smart from the start. Go Basebulls!
  16. Certainly the Cuban and Spanish cuisine is one of the thing I miss as a Tampa Bay area expat. I remember years ago I had a compressed real estate course at USF that met 4 hours a night twice a week. Cafe Cubano was the magic elixir that got me through that.
  17. This whole thing sounds great. Good to see the promotions, crowds and excitement again. I hope the team and the fans feed off each other after brunch. Go Bulls!
  18. In his post-game interview he expressed same basic sentiment. I like the comebacks but it seems to be playing with fire, and not necessarily in a good way. That said, I think Youngblood may be the most consistent comeback leader I have ever seen at USF.
  19. The FAU outcome at UAB is certainly no surprise. American Conference basketball-- even more than most --appears to be wide open for a win or a loss by any team on any given evening. From what I have seen of league play I expect a battle in every game, but I like our chances as much as anyone's. Go Bulls!
  20. Cool. Was more used to seeing him at MacDinton's back in the day.
  21. Got my tix to Charlotte and plan to attend the alumni event prior to game. Hope both are a celebration and a party.
  22. have very found memories of the greenary. What a dump, but lots of good times Didn't do Montana's, but visited all the rest along with Robiconti's, 42nd Street Station, Sea Wolf, Proud Lion Pub and more...
