  1. I watched and at the end had these thoughts: Our guys rose to the occasion after a deflating loss in the AAC tourney and getting screwed in both the NCAA and NIT selections. For once in my life, I thought the refs did a reasonably good job calling and controlling a pretty chippy game. It has been a remarkable year. I am glad it did not end in the WORST possible way. I don't miss those folks in Otown one bit and I hope we can scrape that UCF stank off our shoe for a while now. Go Bulls!
  2. lol like bama cares about academics.... Apparently the Tide does focus on macroeconomics... Kalen DeBoer contract details: Buyout, bonuses and perks for new Alabama coach WWW.AL.COM Kalen DeBoer's contract details were made public on Monday.
  3. Will that help the Noles and Tigers to pay to leave, or at least a couple of hours of their attorneys' fees? Clemson files lawsuit against ACC over 'exorbitant' exit fees - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in South Carolina, Clemson calls the ACC withdrawal penalty "unconscionable" and "unenforceable."
  4. And outside of the absurd UCF spin that is helpful to a conference how exactly? I think it promises the same Powerful Placebo Effect that wearing my lucky underwear to games has helped us win so many championships over the years!
  5. I don't understand it either Coach.
  6. A third of a billion doesn't buy as much these days it appears. Perhaps we need to seek out new design genius. Or we can try to get an even better stadium by threatening to move the teams to another school, a la the pro team owners' handbook.
  7. Welcome to the CFCC (College Curmudgeon Collective)! I think it is the natural progression of things.
  8. As we have learned from football and now basketball, no matter where they rank in the conference, when it comes time to play the Bulls, Birmingham is Vulcan Awesome!
  9. Can players switch and play for a higher seeded team in the NCAA tourney? I mean it's basic dance etiquette, is it not?
  10. Not if we beat them by 20. Yeah, even then. But it doesn't wipe out what was an unexpectedly great season. I can be simultaneously proud of what the Bulls accomplished and sick of the whole system these days.
  11. Ahhh, the joy celebrating a record season with an invitation to party with our dear friends Otown in the newly cockeyed NIT.
  12. Just got the chance to catch the game on replay. Knox was unconscious today. Keep the effort and the focus and it is all right there for the taking. Go Bulls!
  13. As with most things NIL-related, not so black and white. I suspect this will evolve rapidly along with everything else in the universe. si.com WWW.SI.COM
  14. greed /ɡrēd/ noun intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food. "College selection committees are mercenaries on behalf of power conferences who have allowed greed to overtake their principles."
  15. I'm now and old, fat, heat-intolerant Bulls fan. I may limit my in-person viewing to road trips north of the southern border of North Carolina. Oh, and New Orleans or Vegas....
  16. All I ask is, where are the giant safety umbrellas? I think the designers may be sadists.
  17. We've already proven we can beat any of the teams, with the exception of UAB. Let's just prove we can beat all of them in a row. Go Bulls!
  18. I agree it's poop and it'll probably be mocked as such, especially when we hopefully get into a better conference. We'll have the crummy but brand new stadium. Maybe, but a crummy but brand new ON CAMPUS stadium!
  19. As I am reading this, it is projecting the Bulls as a NIT two seed. Am I missing something? Anyway, I like the hope of getting asked to the Big Dance.
  20. I wanted so badly to attend the AAC Tourney, but wasn't able to pull it off after 10-day Florida trip for funeral and other family obligations. Now with Memphis already out it will really get interesting.
  21. Not a huge fan of Charlotte for sure, but it is close to my crib and beautiful parts of the Piedmont and Smokies. One great thing about NC is that it offers a little bit of everything to satisy various tastes, from beaches to mountains, Nascar to wine country, etc. Love it up here.
