  1. New tweet from GA Greg Aumanâ€@gregauman Talked to Houston Nutt. Has "a lot of interest" in USF opening, has had preliminary conversations about job but no interview lined up yet. Greg Aumanâ€@gregauman Houston Nutt eager to coach, has followed USF program for some time -- actually handed Bulls their most lopsided loss ever, 42-3 in 2002.
  2. Not sure if you guys saw this...Sounds encouraging, but also might be bad. Who do you think we are telling no? Greg Aumanâ€@gregauman Some curious wrinkles in this USF coaching search. Working on new names, and impressed by some conceding they can't get in on interviews.

  4. Some Interesting Nutt tweets CFB Zealotsâ€@CFBZ Houston Nutt to USF? And the crowd goes mild..... Banksâ€@BanksW Houston Nutt takes the USF job. He moves there by himself. He becomes Hulk Hogan's roommate. He wins a national championship. R. Garrett McInnisâ€@captainmcinnis After tragically finding out his pony is indeed NOT a Seahorse. RT @FOTProgram Houston Nutt 4 USF just so he can drive to work on a jet ski. Rick Musclesâ€@RickMuscles If Houston Nutt gets the USF job then somehow he'll be responsible for burning down Mons Venus. Jason Kirkâ€@JasonKirkSBN BRB firing up a Hogville thread blaming the next 600 years of USF athletics on Houston Nutt Danny Durkeeâ€@DurtyFlip I bet the resume that Houston Nutt hands USF is just a cocktail napkin with Back To Back Cotton written on it. Doc Harperâ€@doc_harper @SharpTusk @TeamSpeedKills Correct. Saw someone on twitter refer to USF as "Arkansas' Garbage Can" Eight Ballâ€@8BalltheTiger HEY HEY I HOPE HOUSTON NUTT GETS THE USF JOB BECAUSE HE ALWAYS HAD THE BEST SUPPLY OF NITROUS OXIDE
  5. From what I have been reading, it seems like he has expressed some interest in the job here in some form or another. He is a great recruter (see espn article below), has really good offenses, very passsionate about the school ( just check his twitter), and is only getting paid about $335,500 right now. Might be a cheap option if we are looking for an up and comer. http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/college-football/fsu-coach-jimbo-fisher-considering-giving-up-play-/nTKTc/ http://insider.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/football/insider/news/story?id=4897246&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fncaa%2frecruiting%2ffootball%2finsider%2fnews%2fstory%3fid%3d4897246 https://twitter.com/CoachColey
  6. I thought the same. It's early, and I don't know a ton about him, but my initial reaction was this same thought when I first heard his name. Looks like he was the best recruiter in the ACC. http://insider.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/football/insider/news/story?id=4897246&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fncaa%2frecruiting%2ffootball%2finsider%2fnews%2fstory%3fid%3d4897246
  7. Heard BMM the other day on 98.7 and said his phone lights up from coaches regarding the USF job. I heard the same thing but I think he was talking to dumeg. He said when they fired CJL his phone was off the hook with people asking about the job. I wasn't sure if that was still going to be the case after the losses and now realignment armageddon.
  8. Either way I'm glad to see the words "USF job" and " interested" in the same sentence. This shows that even after everything that has happened, this place is still an attractive job.
  9. I'm surprised his name hasn't had more attention. Dan McCarney. Didn't his kids go to USF or something?
  10. First of all, I don't konw how you can say nobody gives a **** about soccer when it is the 3rd most attended sport in the U.S. ahead of the NHL and the NBA for average attendance. Second of all, how is 28K too small when the league on average gets about 18k a game? http://aol.sportingnews.com/soccer/story/2011-11-07/mls-passes-nba-as-third-best-attended-american-sport
  11. I hope everyone is voting.... 1 Vote per person per day. DOOOOOOOOOO IT!!!!!!!
  12. While we are on the subject, I have been watching this board for years and have never quite figured out what the "i" in UCiF stands for......
  13. Salutations everyone! A group of friends and I are looking to buy season tickets for the first time (even though I can still get free tickets from being a grad student, I'm tired of sitting in the student section). So my question to you all is should I wait till Fan Fest to do it so we can pick our seats? There are a few sections available now on ticketmaster but I'm not that thrilled about them. Also how do the donor levels work with the seating? Are those sections only for donors that contribute that much money or do they just get first pick and any season ticket holder can purchase those seats also? Thanks for the help all!
  14. Here is an article I just found about them taking down and rebuilding the high-rise across from campus. http://alex-donedeals.blogspot.com/2012_04_11_archive.html Smith Equities Brokers Sale of Student Housing Site at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL ORLANDO, FL– Orlando-based Smith Equities Real Estate Investment Advisors announced the sale of The Edge (top left and bottom photos) at 42nd Street (formerly Fontana Hall) in Tampa Florida for an undisclosed price. Located on 4.874 acres of land at the northeast corner of 42nd Street and Fletcher Ave the property consists of a 13 story building that was used to house students who attend the University of South Florida plus a one story building that was used as a community center and a cafeteria. It was built in 1968 and is opposite the main entrance to University of South Florida which is part of the university system of the State of Florida. According to Smith Equities Real Estate Investment Advisors student housing specialist Paul Guyet (middle right photo), “The student Housing Industry has evolved from dormitory style living to apartment living with resort pools, high speed internet access and other modern amenities.†Guyet negotiated the sale. The buildings will be demolished and replaced with a modern, up-to-date student housing community that will have approximately 314 units with 539 bedrooms plus parking. The seller was Landmark at Sky Tower Suites, LLC and the buyer is University Residences USF, LLC. Mr. Guyet has sold 14 student housing communities and 4 sites for development for student housing in Florida. This is the second transaction in the past 8 months where he sold a new development site across the street from a major university. He also sold University Shoppes, a 14 acre site at the main entrance to University of Central Florida in Orlando. Mr. Guyet also publishes a student housing report at both USF and UCF each year.
  15. That big open area is a vital parking lot for many USF students. You really want to get rid of it? Yes, I do. Less parking on campus helps encourage more people to live on campus/close to campus and use the Bull Runner. UF, FSU, and many other universitiies dont have near the amount of parking USF has. USF is attempting to shed it's commuter image. So if you are asking me if I would rather have a nice lush park that helps make our campus more beautiful rather than a parking lot, my answer is a definite yes. +100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 WTF? Where did you read they where planning to take out the parking lot anywhere in this plan? . The area they are talking about is the grassy area IN-BETWEEN the library and the parking lot......
  16. That is the mascot for Campus Lodge, which is an off campus student apartment complex on livingston.
  17. Looks like they added the "GATE" sinage today.....
  18. You would be correct. That is the North-East entrance facing the LRS Athletic Building.
  19. I was on campus earlier and took these walking to my class. the roof is noticeably brighter, thank god.
