  1. Gold helmet should have no stripes for traditiona purposes.
  2. Consistency on both sides of the ball. BJ throwing for TD's. all 4 RBS in the mix. DB's making plays. D line not needing any LB help to stop the run.
  3. no its worse. Tamplona can be traced to us being bulls...... Flamingoes can be traced to druken debauchery or just a bad idea in general... you decide. To me it up there with the famouse last words... " He guys, check this out!" In the long line of bad ideas.
  4. I'm thinking about Pinning it to the top ... Can't fathom how you despise Tamplona SOOOO much, but you're on board with this abomination. Because War Flamingo is self explanatory and can stand on its own, even if you don't know about War Eagle .... An all too often response to 'Tamplona' is "What does that mean??" .... Plus, flamingos are Florida, not some obscure reference to a furine country. uuuummmm no. I think of 1980's florida when I here flamingoes. IE Miami Vice.... are we going to ask the student section to dress like Tubbs and Crckett?
  5. The exact reason I haven't taken my daughter yet. She's 3 and has been potty trained for a year now, but I'm taking her next year and I'll gladly pay for the ticket to avoid the above situation. LOL!!! you just described my entire weekend..... I have a 4 year old as well. We a re glutten for punishemnt!!! BTW, we got he family four pack. I noticed that the tickets do not say child on any of them. Can they be used by adults?
  6. I think there is a pretty active DC chapter of Alumni. Always see posts about watch parties from them. You can get anywhere from Crystal City on the Metro. Really good access from there. ps, FWIW only 2 ESPN Zone locations left are Anaheim and LA Boardwalk at Downtown disney That's an ESPN Club.... not sure what is different
  7. Same here, I just purchased my 2 year old a season ticket.....
  8. BYU would be awesome. they have a large enough following that bringing them abaord might allow us to "renogitate" the new TV contract.
  9. This needs to be done before the TV contract negotiations start. It will be a sign of increaseing stability, and provide security in our marketability on the basketball side.
  10. The Outback Bowl is one of the best run bowls. It will do just fine.
  11. So True, They already have people stating that this move still wont get us more than 11 million dollars per team. Its was in one of the videos related to the hire.
  12. That was good Great article. This move has made this conference relevant. it gives us a new identity. It is going to take time to turn over the skeptics, but winning on the field will do that. We have to earn it. I am pumped by this move. the Presidents got it right. Kudos to them.
  13. I am open to any high paying bowl..... The Cotton Bowl, Sugar Bowl, etc.
  14. This guy has connections in every major conference. He can use the business partnerships he has formed over the past 30 years to help improve our image. I like this hire.
  15. It does not matter what sport they come from. They just need to be able to bring strong leadership and stability to the conference. I like the idea of the MLB/mls guys. No ties to football or basketball. Both help run good leagues.
  16. At first I thought this was dumb.... Then it hit me, it would be perfect for golf. freeze this ***** and let it cool your gibblets all round. perfect!!
  17. I think everyone has made it pretty clear that we will build the OCS just like we have been building all of our other new facilities- wait until we can afford to build it as a top tier stadium, nothing like the tin can in orlando. theirs is a daewooooooooooo
  18. works for me, post the details and I will make it happen. Thanks!
  19. I think Tamplona should be added to the list of words that get ********* out. sorry ET.
  20. I started to research BYU's future schedules. Independence may push them into irrelevance. If most Big 5 conferences go to a 9 game season ( looks like this is a strong possibility), Then it will be extremely hard to get a full schedule done. Their 3 remaining games will include one FCS team. one lower level FBS team and one open for a good opponent. Here we are 30 days from the beginning of the 2012 season and BYU is only 75% done with the 2013 schedule. They have 8 games scheduled for 2013 and only THREE of them are home games. That means of the last four games needed 3 have to be home games. How are they going to get that accomplished in the next 9-12 months? the 2014 schedule has 5 games scheduled along with 2015. The bottom line is they need to find a conference. The MWC sucks, the WAC is dead. The PAC 12 and BIG 12 don't want them. They are way too conservative for the Pac 12 image. While they might fit in the Big 12, I think they burnt that bridge with their current TV contract and their "You need us more than we need you attitude." I am sure that Texas and Oklahoma were like WTF do you think you are? BYU is on our level. I think we are the perfect fit for them. They want national attention, what better way to accomplish that than by joining the ONLY national conference?
  21. Wouldn't shock me. He is a BE guy. I think we need an outsider. Don't know much about Weiberg, but being from Pac-12 might help I sure hope that the Big East learned its lesson with Meatball Marinatto. Carpraelli seems like a good guy with a good knowledge base, but he's still part of the Providence Mafia. The conference needs new blood with experience in football. The Providence Mafia pipeline needs to be clipped just a bit. This x 1000. New blood is needed. new directions and aspirations are needed at this crucial juncture.
