  1. JIm Leavitt would most certainly take the job, if offered for the right money, and he would have UCF taking down P5 schools regularly with Florida talent. He would be laughing all the way to his bank. He would have UCF turned around in 12 months, not the 10 years it took him working for chump change out of trailers at USF.
  2. Question for Friday: How many times do they try the WR screen along the sideline and will there be a pick 6 as a result?
  3. Your problem, Bausfkid, is that you continue to think that a couple of bonehead plays by USF players has been the difference between winning and losing spectacularly. Sorry to burst your bubble, but different results in those bonehead plays would not have made a significant difference in the outcome. Every team, that's a winner, overcomes those bad plays during the game but USF has not been able to, no matter who the players happen to be.
  4. You've obviously never served in the military or been in harm's way - and if you have, WTF! Let's stick to the USF talk before I unleash my wife on here - the Intelligence Operations I took part in while serving in the Navy are nothing compared to what she dealt with daily while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan for two years. I wouldn't wish what she saw on anyone - there's a reason why she left MI to become a physician (and it wasn't to cure my STD's from those UCF coeds). I'm with you Terry, bausfkid is stepping on a hornets nest if he continues in this direction. My six years were a cake walk compared to compatriots who lost limbs and worse in the Middle East. You might want to take a mini sabbatical from TBP bausfkid before you get verbally pummeled.
  5. Rather than paraphrase, how about a link to the actual response? ..... Just to be on the safe side, you know. I can't believe no one has called out CWT response. To paraphrase: "Player only meetings can be good but if the actions on the field don't match then they are a waste of time" Am I the only one floored by this response? Rather than paraphrase, how about a link to the actual response? ..... Just to be on the safe side, you know.
  6. Again, coming in cold when he did, QF should have looked better. Who gets snaps with the first team all season? Who has a chance to learn a rhythm with those receivers, who was warmed up pre-game and played all game? Bench was set up to fail. Very true- he was set up to fail! False. This 'cold' QB change worked very well for South Carolina vs UCF Was he in for more than one series? Was MD QB in for more than one series. Thinking that a QB can come off the bench and be used to game speed in one series, is not realistic but most of you Green Knob Gobblers, trying to buttress a poor coach, don't care much about reality anyway.
  7. Lets see about some recent players only meetings: 1. Nov. 2011 2. Sept. 2012 3. Now None of the prior meetings helped, so I wonder if this one is doomed to the same results.
  8. Guys, we maybe win one more game against SMU. Taggart will lose his third straight against UCF, if he is still here by that date. This team cannot beat anyone else on our schedule, and it's certainly not because they are worse athletes. This team has been unprepared to be successful and win games because the man in charge does not have the brain pan to be a successful FBS head coach. He can recruit good athletes, however, he cannot coach them to success. It's as plain and simple as the sarcasm that comes from Triple B's posts.
  9. Per TripleB, the failure of Taggart cannot be blamed on Taggart, he can blame the OC and DC that Harlan hired without his input. Problem solved for Taggart, he's here till his contract ends and Harlan gets to hire another OC and another DC at the end of the year. Taggarts problems are solved.
  10. This is incorrect. 2 where good, 1 he was hit as thrown illegally, and 1 was a bad overthrow...off the bench I might add. Even if we go with 2 for 4 which were on SB that 50% completion rate could get it done... If you want to start playing that game, using your convoluted thinking, QF would have been, at the very least, a 63% passer, 12/19, with 2 more td passes .... WWMJD's absurdity assertion may be an understatement. You were at the game, right TB? If so, did you see SB warming up along the sideline prior to going in or did he just get peeled from the bench, cold as ice, and told to start slinging it? You seem to be the resident KNOW IT ALL, so please tell us what occurred behind the bench prior to SB being put in. Thanks.
  11. Yeah, funny how that works ... Who hired Allen? Who is Allen supposed to support? Whose job is dependent upon CWT? Yeah, funny if you don't want to deal with reality. Harlan .... and reality is that coaches say stuff like that. Reality is that coaches with more than 7 wins in 3 years can get away with it. Reality is that Allen and CWT were right. So CWT had no say in who was hired as OC and DC? I find that very hard to believe. Have you been in a coma?? Harlan told him Allen was his new DC the same time he told him that he demanded he to switch to the spread offense ... Link please Mr. Condescension. While I knew that Harlan demanded changes after last season and that an OC and DC change similar to what happened at Clemson occurred. What I did not know is that Harlan selected Allen in a vacuum and told Taggart this is your guy. Did he do that as well with the OC?
  12. We're going to keep losing, that's what we're going to do.
  14. Yeah, funny how that works ... Who hired Allen? Who is Allen supposed to support? Whose job is dependent upon CWT? Yeah, funny if you don't want to deal with reality.
  15. hbryan's stone cold lock prediction: Memphis 48 USF 17 Sorry guys but USF with QF behind center cannot score more than 20 points against decent competition and Memphis is better than decent. Memphis may even start out as a -21 favorite but that won't matter, give the points and take Memphis. P.S. Didn't even see your prediction SoTampaBull, I guess brilliant minds really do think alike.
  16. Normally I would say, you meant "adversity," right? But because it's you, I'm not sure. You must have been the negative guy in the prior post and yes it was meant to be adversity. A little too early in the morning to be typing with blurry eyes. Oh, and just keep those negatives coming, they mean nothing when you've clearly been wrong in most of your posts.
  17. Mike White saw the handwriting on the wall, i.e. CWT selecting QF as the starter over all others. It was evident to him and his family that he would be riding the pine behind someone who is NOT a Div. 1 QB, therefore, his only option was to transfer to a school that he thinks it gives him a better chance at competing for the starting QB position. Simple stuff.
  18. Most know that they can't win with QF at QB AND CWT calling plays. Loss is a foregone conclusion in their minds and it cements at the first sign of diversity. Soft, soft, soft, soft football team.
  19. I don't like our chances in a shootout. Ya think?
  20. I would take either of those QB's over Flowers or Bench. Neither one would be doing what they did this evening or this season in a Willie Taggart led team with Willie calling plays. Until you begin to understand that, you'll NEVER have a full grasp of the damage CWT has done and continues to do to USF Athletics on a whole.
  21. It only sucks ass if you actually have a good vertical passing game. USF does not, therefore I expect to be routed by Memphis.
  22. It's 4 am in Cali smazza, what are you doing up so early?
  23. If you want to see uncomfortable, you should see the poop I'm taking right now. It's bigger than a pair of LA Gears. That's a better shoe reference than British Knights, which had me thinking of small condoms you might be buying in Piccadilly Circus while getting a refill on your London Gentleman cologne.
  24. More poop jokes JTrue, when you're working outside your normal milieu it looks so uncomfortable.
