  1. Very well said cambodia36!! I feel exactly the same at this point in time. He did have one foot out the door and the last two games is his Phoenix moment. On a personal level, I hope he can maintain the short success he's had this season and carry it over into next season, when I would gladly agree that an extension would be warranted. Simple common sense decisions that no one could reasonably argue against.
  2. Another personal attack from a TB ignorami member. Why am I not surprised.
  3. Hmm, prudent behaviour and common sense have no place on The Bulls Pen, you should know that by now Ricky. Unfortunately, the bulk of green gobblers (TB and his crew of ignorami) on this site aren't the ones who get calls from the athletic dept. to up their donation, purchase more seats, provide corporate sponsorship, and sponsor scholarships, hell most don't have season tickets or even attend games. If Taggart has turned the corner (I truly hope he has) and can be successful here, I'll be behind him 100% along with most other donors. Like you, I believe it's too early to give him a raise and extend him, heck he had one foot out the door just one month ago.
  4. You wanna make it personal with me? My responses are replete with common sense. The responses are from someone who contributes large dollars to this athletic department, i.e. I have much skin in the game and I'm not just some chump punching keys.
  5. $1.15 M. Underpaid for a great coach but I don't think greatness has been exhibited yet. He still has two years after this year left on his contract. If he can begin next year like he's ending this year, then I believe a raise and extension negotiation midseason would be warranted. But not after just two games of unexpected wins over solid programs, that's way too early and our athletic departments history in floating extensions with raises is the proof in the pudding.
  6. That big picture being that after two and a half seasons of horrible results people are screaming to give Willie Taggart a long and expensive extension following two wonderful and impressive wins? Is that the "big" picture you are talking about? Common sense I guess is out the window for most of you commenting in this thread. WOW!!!!
  7. Were all you calling for a Taggart extension the same ones who applauded Skip Holtz's unrequested extension. This is the most idiotic discussion after two solid wins that I think I've ever heard on this board. Are you people that vapid? ARGGGHHHHH!!!!!!
  8. Exactly. I started picking against them and they started winning. When I changed and picked them to win, they lost, therefore I went back to picking them to lose. Gotta trick the jinx.....shhhh!
  9. Yep, I agree. Most excitement at RJS since Jim Leavitt's reign. Although only approx. 30K fans it felt electric and QF nutted up big time. Thoroughly enjoyable and electric home game. Loved it
  10. USF (I'm optimistic Tom Allen has the rubik's cube solution to Navy's flexbone offense) 26-23 Mack Adams (cuz Barr can't catch a pass with just his hands) 385
  11. Absolutely not, they're too stupid to be in college. They had a car, could have driven in the woods but instead shot at a building, on campus, from a parking garage? That kind of lawless stupidity cannot be tolerated.
  12. So I guess you're saying that QF is a great, throwing and running QB then? Exactly what point are you trying to make concerning QFs capabilities and his QB skill set? Or are you just on here chub rubbing poor quality QBs? I'm confused.
  13. Good on coach, that's what highly paid professionals with an actual conscience do when they themselves feel enriched by their employer. Our old AD endowed himself by extending Holtz and himself so he could enrich himself and he also endowed our USF with one Willie Low-T Taggart. How do you like those endowments?
  14. Then he would be more than a terrible coach, if that happens.
