  1. Anyone else see the guy drinking beer through his eyehole?
  2. The option kept him home against Nevada.
  3. I think that's how a lot of the Nevada fans feel, but when you look at the game subjectively most would probably agree they started off hot and once we got familiar (took too long) with their O we did a decent job and our O kicked into high gear in the 4th Q with top tier WR talent. If we keep that energy/enthusiasm going our O is going to be dangerous.
  4. Didn't they just run three times up the gut and get stopped in order to force that punt?
  5. Don't think so, he's had plenty of balls hit the ground in front of open receivers.
  6. You've been harping on this so I figured I would mention a post game interview over on Rivals I think it was. Holtz, or it might have been Fitch, basically said that wasn't the play called and BJ was trying to force something and he knows he shouldn't have done that... was the play called a pass? Fitch doesn't learn. it happened against UF. pass play called inside our 20 with under 2 to play. picked and they scored a TD. it happened against WVU. pass play called inside our 20 with under 2 to play. picked and they scored a TD. same with western kentucky. inside 20 under 2 to play picked. didn't cost us though. Fitch isn't smart enough to realize we don't have peyton manning or tom brady back there. he isn't smart enough to realize it is far too risky to think we can drive length of the field with under 2 to play. Insanity- doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. if it was a pass play called then it was their fault regardless of whether or not they take the responsibility. Pretty sure you yourself had suggested a safer pass to the side/flat in another thread and I think that's what they had called. Are you suggesting that they not throw the ball at all when behind their 20 or 30? That would probably limit things quite a bit and would be conservative to the extreme. Even not throwing the ball at all when behind their 20 or 30 in the last 2 min of the first half, especially against a FCS team our D is smothering, is too conservative, in my opinion. I didn't suggest a pass. I never have. it is clear that with this offense it is a huge mistake to pass the ball that deep in our zone when there is little time left before the half. you are giving them an opportunity to score with little time left. hell throw it 50 yards down field for all I care. if they pick it then it's more like a punt.we ran the ball for 7 yards on the previous play. my thought is if you don't have joe montana(or at least a top 10 college passer) back there then you run it and if you break off a couple of long runs to get you near the 45-50 then you can pass it. especially that close to the half. or like I said throw it so deep that it's more like a punt than a costly turnover inside our territory. game situation dictates whether or not it's worth the risk. the only way they score against our defense there is if we risk a stupid turnover deep in our territory. sure we could fumble the ball but an interception is more likely. they have done it time and again proving they haven't learned from past play calling mistakes. I'm not saying we never pass inside our 30 either. I'm saying the only way that team was going to score on our defense that late in the half was if we turned the ball over that deep in our territory. the risk was not worth the potential reward. Just so I'm clear on what you're proposing, if we pass inside our 30 it should only be a 20+ yard pass down field, given our current QB? As far as the risk not being worth it, I completely agree game situation dictates whether or not it's worth the risk and in this case (against a FCS team our D is smothering) I'm going to have to disagree that the risk was too high for any pass play other than a deep ball.

  9. i dont think we are saving him for next year usf needs to win this year and bring in a stud freshman next year this makes little sense unless lamar is leaving Yeah I was wondering the same. In the worst case this could mean they don't expect to get one of the top backs in this class and need to save people for next year hoping to pull in a top 2014 back. With 6 or so backs in FL listed in the top 25 for this class (e.g. Tarean Folston, Alex Collins) I would be very disappointed if we couldn't pull one of them in.
  10. Give the Mocs some credit, you could tell how much heart and determination they were playing with... They didn't give up and their motors were constant. That wasn't an FCS team looking to take their lumps and move on to division play, it was a team looking to prove something and it showed. Watch the highlights of our win over FSU and you'll see a bulls team playing with the heart and energy we saw from the Mocs. I was very impressed with the energy and heart their D played with and if they can maintain that in their division they'll do well.
  11. Don't see WV being the Big 12 Champ. Strange that once they're in the Big 12 you see predictions like this, but while in the Big East it was "just" WV, the best the lowly Big East could offer.
  12. ^ Haven't seen film of him outisde of that, but looks like an excellent (nasty son of a gun) run blocker and the little pass blocking that's in there looks good to average.
  13. Mr. Woulard, I would suggest starting another thread and asking the mod to get rid of this one. If he keeps at it we'll have to call the Ghost Busters. Some others, OMFG step back from your frustration with last season, pride, ego, and whatever else and think about what you are doing for a minute. You are arguing about your right to post rants about SEC superiority and how meaningless message boards are to recruits ON OUR RECRUITING BOARD with the FATHER of the nation's ELITE 11 MVP QUARTERBACK, in a thread started by HIM for the purpose of positive recruiting discussions for other recruits to review ON OUR RECRUITING BOARD. Disappointing to say the least....
  14. Agreed 100%. I felt like I was reading a SEC fan boy board with some of the comments on here. I didn't see an SEC fan boy board but I did see some reality being doled out as to why it wasn't unthinkable for a high school player to choose an SEC school over USF ... and some reality as to why some would choose USF over an SEC school. Not sure where you got that from but there were numerous schools with more than 5 drafted players that year ... We did have the most from the BE that year. http://en.wikipedia..../2010_NFL_Draft Nah, there's a difference between respect and going to that length - disappointed Ghost. If that was a UCFer or UFer coming on here we would have told him to take a hike. When the father of one of our recruits starts a thread to talk about recruting ON OUR RECRUITING BOARD and has to mention how some people are going overboard on SEC, it's gone too far.... I respect the SEC, but we are SOUTH FLORIDA.
  15. Agreed. We may not have the tradition - yet - but anyone putting our campus down is misleading people and/or hasn't been there in the last 15 years. Now what we need are some of you that think you're up for it to take the torch and continue to MAKE tradition! http://www.gousfbulls.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=7700&ATCLID=204935665 We are SOUTH FLORIDA!!
  16. We've recruited some decent underclassmen, but I don't feel like we're solid at DE or LB.
  17. Sorry for all the confusion there, meant the senior of the two Hargreaves in the context of conversations on this recruiting board.... Not putting words in his mouth as to what he was referring to, but if that is what he was referring to, that's where "joking" in my original statement comes in. Thanks for your input man.
  18. It was noted in another thread here. Their OC and a GA will handle the receivers. See Rodney Adams thread. http://thebullspen.c...odney-adams-wr/ Think it was a joking reference to comments people have made about where Mr. Hargreaves Sr. was going to end up, relative to where III ended up.
  19. Your going to have to be more specific. TJ Johnson or Travis Johnson? We are recruiting both. One a WR and one a APB. Personally, I think he looks like TJ, too. The APB one from Island Coast who BTW has 4.31 speed. Just cause we didn't get Benkert, I want this guy , bad. Meant Taurus Johnson. We haven't had that combo of speed, moves and mojo since. Every new WR should watch that highlight reel.
  20. Nah, this is just to toy with fans - and it's working. Based on what he said, the staff that he's going to committ to would have been secretly told when he actually decided.
  21. Couldn't agree with you more Steve.  However, please remember that in our first 2 games in 2006 we were starting with a very young team and Matt Grothe was just beginning to get into his comfort zone.  We have almost all of our 2006 team returning.  We've got an awesome RB available now.  We have a very deep defensive core this year. GO BULLS!!!!!!! I have been thinking along the same lines, however, the Louisville game showed we were still capable of getting a very solid beating by a good team even at the end of the year. How that happened, and how things will be different or improved can be debated ad infinitum. My concern is whether or not the running game will have improved enough to give us a decent shot, via receiving our Ford and RB-savior (communion is April 14th) or otherwise.
