  1. The only reason to have excuses is to appease fans who think that its totally normal to expect to go to bowl games every year. EVERY team old enough to be of legal drinking age (21) or older has many losing seasons throughout their history. Those teams have either fired or hired new coaches. Keeping or hiring has proved to guarantee nothing. Coaches kept after a 0 win season have come back the next year and had 8 or 9 win seasons. Coaches kept after a horrible season have continued to lose. Coaches hired after a losing season have continued the losing and somehow made the situation worse. Coaches hired after a coach has been fired for a losing season have turned the team around. Of course in that situation you run a chance of being in the same one as Rich Rod at Michigan who came in with a totally different scheme and had no players that fit it. He also didn't fit into the culture and in the time given him couldn't find a way to win like he did at WVU. I am not saying Holtz should stay. What I am saying is that it is reasonable to expect losing seasons in college football and that next year could be the best in USF history or the worse regardless if Holtz is fired or replaced. It is all in the norm of what has happened in the history of college football. I want a winning team. I know in the grand scheme of things its much harder to have that happen and even when it does you can do the same thing the same way the following season and lose. I think that is where Skip is at now. He has won with his formula, different players, slightly different staff, and its not working at USF...this year. It may or may not in another. No guarantee that a new coach would do no better, no matter how they did elsewhere. At least not the level of coach USF can attract to this conference. What I want to know is that if Skip is kept and has a 10 win season next year, how many on this board are going to still want him gone. It seems that some want him gone even if he wins the Orange bowl, which looking at the history of college football is in the realm of possibles. Just cause he does some of the dumbest things I have ever seen,.........that is all
  2. I guess they figure we are all as dumb as a high % of the American public.
  3. I'm more surprised they even opened that up at this point in the season. They should have known the only ones who would respond are the dickheads that did. At least the "dickheads" care enough about the program to be pissed off. Woolard on the other hand is a dickhead for firing Leavitt & Cardieri and not holding everyone to the same standard. Has he ever fired anyone that he has hired ? I just thought of that and do not know the answer.......
  4. If they want me to pay 2k a year then I want to play good teams. Not too much to ask ? We can't beat bad teams anymore anyways. You probably don't buy tixs if you don't get it.
  5. They should take the donation levels back to 1AA levels again since we are starting over anyways.
  6. http://templeterrace.patch.com/articles/temple-terrace-honors-skip-holtz :icon_drink: :icon_drink: :icon_drink:
  7. Keep Him-----He is a nice guy.......we have no money to pay 2.5 million ? Fire Him------It is not only that we lose and lose a lot. We also have...... Horrible game management. I mean it is something new every week. Can someone really be a division 1 head coach and not know basic football strategy ? I swear he wants to get fired, collect his $$$$, and get out of here. It is the only thing that makes sense. No passion No accountability There will be 10k people at the last game. People are getting to the point were they do not care anymore.......bad bad bad Season ticket holders will disappear if he stays. No hope that next year will be any better. Woolard hired him UCF will kick our ass next year Time to cut bait, regroup, and start over.
  8. Spoke to someone today that was in the locker room. He has always said CJL did not beat or choke sissy boy. Woolard da Weasel made our bed and now we have to sleep in it. Karma is a biotch.
  9. I am going to play some powerball!!! A lot of jobs will be lost if I am victorious.
  10. Not surprising at all. It has become apparent lately that they do not know how to run a business.
  11. He would come back but it will not happen under the current administration. Holtz will be here next year so strap in.
  12. Oh never mind....its about big time college football
  13. Zero truth to Woolards babble at half time about how fantastic athletics is doing right now.
  14. We need more talented coaches. BJ was one of our better players period.
  15. Holtz is still employed ? Amazing. Woolard needs to go then too. I think Holtz is trying to get fired now, seriously. There is no way a D1 football coach can be that g-**** stupid!
  16. Jose has done a pretty nice job turning a horrible program around. They look headed in the right direction as opposed to what our current debauchery of a football program is going. Do you think they we can roll our timeouts over and give us 8 timeouts against Cincy on Friday ?
  17. Then get Jordan Omogbehin in there. 7'3 335lbs..don't think thats undersized. He is big but...............lets just say he has a lot of work to do.
