I like Urso, and his success at UT has been tremendous, but I would go a different route. Lelo also won 2 National Championships at UT and didn't excel at the next level. All three are different people. Every other D2 has the same rules ??? He just plays it the best. He does know what a Division 1 baseball player looks like it so it's a step in the right direction

New coach has his work cut out...............might take a few years

Lelo is a great guy and I am glad he is still a Bull. He can help with the fundraising aspect of things for sure. The loss of Mr Selmon has set us back 20 years IMO. I hope Mr Harlan can change the atmosphere of the athletic department. The prior regime knew nothing about SPORTS and was not very supportive. I will leave it at that. Lelo will support whomever they bring in (JOE URSO is #1 BABY!). He is sick of losing as much as any of us are. He would admit that it just did not work out with the wins/losses and that is what coaches are judged on, period........... Maybe we can catch fire and win the tourney.....that would be awesome. Not going to a Regional since 2002 is unbelievable based on our location and new facilities.

Joe Urso is about as good as it gets all around. Just an awesome guy. Say what you want about the UT route but I think he deserves a shot. A little biased since I grew up with him but I can tell you he knows the game, works hard, and knows how to develop talent. He has "it" and is a WINNER. Full endorsement here

Tought match up Friday night against a very good Louisville team. Should be fun to watch !

I know you guys love to complain but come to the game next Friday and watch this guy pitch. We are lucky to have him. Such a competitior. Fun to watch. Now if the rest of the guys would follow suit we would be in good shape !

Doubt it, he's pretty much this way all the time, but I'm sure he'll take the out you just gave him ... I was referring to the Omaha posts... Ok, you win there, you obviously took those far more seriously than I thought anyone would ... Someone actually bet me a beer that we'd hit regionals this year. I think he was pretty serious. That is a far cry from "Omaha-bound." A matter of semantics, in my opinion. We had quite a bit of joyful exuberance going on around here in the early part of the season. Bottomline is that anyone watching Lelo at the helm during his coaching stint at USF has seen that he's woefully underachieved while here. Initially, he was given a pass because the of the state of the facilities, but now that excuse has worn thin the past few seasons. We'll agree to disagree on the seriousness of predicting regionals vs. Omaha (imo the differences between the two are too great to be semantics - 64 teams in regionals vs. 8 teams in CWS) However, the point is, as jg mentioned above, we looked good after 7 games, nothing wrong with a little excitement before conference play. Seems there are some people here that like to ridicule others for the part of your above statement I made bold Nothing wrong with a little wishin' and hopin'. What else do we have if you are Bulls fan at this point ? Cross Country, Tennis, Soccer, & Softball (although Louisville just handed us a beat down sweep at home....oh no ! Implosion.......Quick softball fact. We have not played one true "away" game in 33 games (crazy)

It looked like after 7 games the young guys could get us to a regional though........then Columbia came to town and it all came crashing down around BULL nation. The pitching has been above average but the hitters have ummmmm errrrrrr disappeared and defense has been pourous? Frustrating to say the least. Prado wants to win as bad as anyone and is having many sleepless nights at this point.

I really think we have finally turned the corner to become good again. We have some young guys that are players. I am optimistic we could make a regional for the first time in 12 years.

You guys crack me up. I know it is hard in this day and age of USF athletics to stay positive BUT we are 4-0 (That is crazy for any USF squad except maybe mens tennis) ......We actually we are hitting .333 as a team and averaging over 7 runs a game so far. UMMMMMM I would take that for a season average all day long. Our pitching has been lights out 1.00 ERA........... our defense has actually been struggling with 7 errors in 4 games. Again 4-0 with a 3 game set against Penn St. Come out eat some peanuts and drink a few $7 beers
