  1. grothee looked like a real qb but he didnt look like steve young to me he gave offense energy slightly bigger doug flutie, all day long....
  2. Exactly. If you cant stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. No ****, and for that matter, old PJ is going to one of the best schools in the state of Florida FREE, let's lighten up here a bit on the melodrama....he tried, he didn't succeed, we move on to Plan B. THAT'S LIFE.
  3. Geez, granted i had a few cocktails, but what game were you watching?? The only offensive option was their QB scrambling, which, barring keeping a spy LB, is tough to defense, and a formula borne out of desperation. Our guys were fine, nervous, but fine. Clearly our athletic LBs and DBs overmatched them, and after their one moderate FG drive, they did NADA. Can't be more of a one-sided asswhipping by the D, granted versus a JV bunch. The real angst was for the first half offense, before Flip Jr. came in. WRs looked better, Cedric Hill caught the ball, Flip Jr/Flutie II looked very solid, lots and lots of positives. Hell, Dorsey even gave you something big to talk about on the way out of the game....Bravo for game 1 I say.
  4. Another variable for attendance will be the rain. It's probably rained 1- 2 inches by the stadium so far today, with some more in the forecast for later today and manana. Bring the rotten shoes and ponchos...
  5. Nobody cares if you are honest, or dishonest, just go back home to the trailer.
  6. You should frame this post as well.  Maybe your grandkids (especially the girls) will be in awe of these stats, I'm certainly not.  Grow up deputy, you're not in high school anymore.  Even if your "stats" with the ladies aren't exaggerated, no one gives a ****.  Lighten up, Francis, life's about memories made and recalled. This is a FREE MESSAGE BOARD FOR GOD"S SAKE, if one can't wax poetically about the good old days, where in the hell can you?
  7. I watched that game on Direct TV from a boat in the bahamas. If they would have scratched out the win, I'd have plowed through one more quadruple capn and diet and buried myself at sea a happy man. Fine effort on tv, how did it look in person?
  8. Don't flat line, 48 more hours to go.  Maybe ask some of the boyz, I believe smoking some dope might help you relax and sleep.
  9. If that's true, it's very tragic. Clearly, his wife is the one who deserved the break, though.
  10. Plus, Bucs on local tv. They looked like a Div 1 program last week. Smazza, you sleep last night? i was worried about you....
  11. Keck blows. Did he ever get off the hook for that wife beating charge last year?
  12. Heard she was driving to the JCL press conference yesterday and got there 5 minutes late..
  13. South Tampa reporting in with light drizzle and flat seas on the bay....
  14. Agreed, horrendous. CJL is spending too much time with Mac's media coaches....NEVER play at Alabama or KSU.
  15. SECOND! holy ****, man, i live on the water in south tampa and i definitely prefer to fish off my dock,or my boat, and not in my yard....keep the good karma, pal......wow.
  16. Listen, I'm not here trying to start either a Mac thread or a Mac crusade, but in sports, WINS AND LOSSES ARE PRETTY MUCH WHAT MATTER. We are not running a charity here, or a "green" organization trying to save the world, etc. he's running a sports team, which measures accountability by winning percentages. As to the "other things" you refer to, which I'd assume were the injuries and roster shortages, THAT IS HIS JOB AS WELL TO PLAN FOR AND MANAGE THROUGH. If he'd recruited more and better athletes, when some inevitably went down with injury, or if he knew he was a hard-nosed disciplinarian - which I like, by the way - and knew he might have a couple of casualties during the year, he should have had some preferred walk-ons available, left fewer schollies for the future, etc. Not a perfect outcome, but surely not the apocalypse he dealt himself. Anyways, I, too am cheering for him, I surely don't have the political capital to influence his future, but damned sure am tired of driving me and my 4 kids to the Dome to see them getting their asses kicked....
  17. So now you're taking shots at our student-athletes for setting the bar too high..... What a freaking hypocrite. What shots?  Because I don't take a player's written words to be the reality of the actual situation?  Maybe you should look up the word hypocrite. As for Velcro, I'm anti mac BECAUSE I'm pro USF. if your pro-usf, then why don't you support the coaches that the school has hired?  Coach Mac might not have the best record out there, but he was hired by the university, and is a current coach here.  so you are not pro-usf by not supporting one of its coaches. This logic is beyond absurd. Under this theory, we'd all be sitting around cheering for Eddie C., and enjoying him die on the vine.  Given some accountability, Eddie no longer measured up, Lelo was brought in - and I was a Terry Rupp guy - who has invigorated the school, alumni group and obviously infused some enthusiasm into the recruiting process.  Same theory for Mac, we're all cheering for him but affixing the blinders and watching him drive off the cliff just doesn't work.  Hope I'm wrong, but I'd submit if you performed as badly at your job as he does at his - as objectively measured in wins and losses -  your boss wouldn't be quite so benevolent.....
  18. I think everyone IS on the bus, but this is a message board which allows everyone to be backseat drivers....good, clean fun but how can one miss that huge pink elephant that is on the bus named Mac? nice words by Melvin, i think the only part maybe the blog missed was "...now good night, and don't forget to tip your waiters and waitresses who have worked so hard for you....".....
  19. funny, didn't i see a picture of Gruden running sprints with his team last week, or was it him taking a punch when he blitzed the QB in a full-contact drill.....
  20. Well then that makes me feel better that we got a commitment from his relative Ereck Plancher. Go home, Billy Bob, no one cares what you think.
  21. Hmmm, gosh, those motivated new coaches suuuuuuuuuuuuure seem to make a lot of good, quick first impressions, don't they................
  22. Hand him a basketball and give him to Mac. He seems to have the Midas touch with these kinds of guys.....
  23. Sileo is just a tool, a no-substance blowhard. Unlistenable in my opinion...if I had heard that blast, I might have turned on Jack and Teddddddd, for god's sake....
