  1. I don't think Shoop is much into the accessories ...... I could be wrong. He's more into the really "important" stuff. : Banana Hammocks?  8-) ha. a classic term, but seemingly an appropriate question.
  2. Im sorry, but that's pretty **** funny.  ;D Hey, didn't your parents never tell you not to make sport of the intellectually challenged?
  3. Papa Flutie, That's beautiful. I think Little Dougie II's spot is locked up for him as long as he wants it. Plus, that other guy is too short anyways to play quarterback... Regards, Jack Bicknell yea go buy your Grothe flakes at local publix  lol   I will laugh at that as I think you are kidding if intended as a slam to Matt I wont !! Gosh no, dad, you and Dougie are class acts, and i've extolled the virtues of you and he repeatedly throughout here. Quite a legacy to your son, the kid who pushed USF football into the upper echelon. I'm very respectful of PJ, and I'm sure he will be very successful in life with his grit and class, but we ain't chirpin' a bowlin' tune this time of year with him at the helm for 12 games. Having said that, I can't help but think of Flutie whenver I see him play - case in point, the long pass down to the 4 off the scramble last game when the lineman was downfield. Great, creative football plays. Flutie-esque. A high compliment, my friend. p.s. I was thinking more along the lines of Grothe Granola?

  5. Funny I didn't see you on the Playboy Top 10 of all time best looking college girls. I do think however I recall you guys making the 10 fattest universities. How you like these apples? http://www.mensfitness.com/college_rankings/53 ;D  congrats on being a top 10 fattest.  Oh look who is in the top 20 fittest  coming in at #19  Way to funny en-light of this thread title.  Hey Eat some more _____ Eat It ;D Hmmm Greenville close to Appalachia?? Seen a map lately bud? Guess they never did have a very strong geography department in "South" Florida.  No one there looks at a map, and comes up with a name South when you are located in West Central Florida. How long have you been gay, sailor?
  6. Not familiar with your personal habits, but I've been by the armpit that is ECU , and it's a dump, a destination only if one is lost. Plus, dry county, I believe. The true question is, what athlete wakes up one morning and says, "****, I want to go be an East Carolina Pirate"? Answer, one nobody else wants. If we don't kick these guys asses as purple as their logo, shame on us.
  7. It doesn't sound like a really bad injury.  He played all season with it and decided to get surgery in the off-season.  If he red-shirts, he'll have plenty of time to heal. I think there's room for a stud in the deep secondary asap. Verpaele was underwhelming at times, biggest play of the year was WVU, but lots of other times when he was the same version as his freshman year, run over, too slow to react, etc. Burnett was the only guy thru the year, IMO, who laid the wood on guys coming over the middle. I didn't see much improvement from Carlton Williams, and Tyler McRoberts is a good player, but more of a corner/nickel kind of guy. If Nate Allen is as athletic as advertised, and the clips on this kid tell you he is too, i think there's lots of playing time to be had at safety next year for either of those two guys. Heck with redshirting, did you see the florida kid from WVU who got the pick? if they can play, play 'em.
  8. Jesus, I didn't think 4 hilljacks even had internet hookups at ECU. My bad, I guess they do get those AOL dial-up discs with every dozen doughnuts at Dunkin Donuts down by the four-lane.......
  9. This deserves it own thread. Holy shiirt.......and i thought Josh Julmiste looked more dominating than Selvie, who nonetheless looked GREAT. Throw Chris Robinson in there at OLB, and that's 3 pretty good pass rushing maniacs for next year....
  10. Pretty classy comment.  : You earned it with your original "classy" comment. Why can't we all just get along.....on this our most successful win ever? PJ, class act, loved the story in the fish wrap re: PJ wanting to dunk CJL with gatorade. That's what college athletics is all about. Wally, awesome planning and execution. CJL, unbridled passion. The Team, never giving up. THE BURNING SOFA ICON ------------> PRICELESS!
  11. Freddie the Flatliner. Made Al Kock sound like a hall of famer.
  12. Mea culpa, we're in violent agreement then. Re: how did I know? we/you/me are all men, right, all of us do. Hoping some kindhearted woman might be reading this to reach out to one of us on Thanksgiving Day.........
  13. Rizzo, you're absolutely correct. If the team continues putting out an entertaining brand of basketball, people will show up. Does USF athletics send out coach McCullum or the players to student organizations to invite them to the games? If not, that would be a great idea as well. GREAT IDEA! MAC WOULD DRAW IN THOUSANDS BY HIMSELF!! GO MAC!! By the way, when do we play HCC? What's your *****?  Have you seen who #1 Florida has played so far?  Samford, N. Florida,  Jacksonville, Chattanooga, and Prairie View.  They still have to play such powerhouses as; Western Kentucky, Southern, FAMU, Liberty, and the same Stetson team we play. Lighten up, Francis, some of you guys need to get laid more. I'm joking, i'm ECSTATIC that we're 0-3, if we're not playing the football/bcs game, i'd schedule 20 games versus MJCC, HCC, Western Ky, KYJelly, and whoever we get to play us and violate...........

  15. Exactly . . . the Pitt win carries us further than the L'ville victory ... We need to win these games and it not be publicized as an "upset" ... we will get there. Go BULLS !!!  [smiley=GoBulls.gif] True, but also, the lows can't be so low. Quality programs (and therefore, maybe Rutgers isn't under this definition) show up on national TV and are always competitive in big games. Our effort vs. Cincy and Louisville, and i'm hoping NOT WVU, clearly classify us as pretenders, not contenders. I'd give us a C this year, a B+ if we beat Louisville. We have not shown the ability to go on the road, in-conference, and be competitive.
  16. The cusers were next to us in lot 7, good, fun loving guys, sort of resigned to their football fate, so not as belligerent as some jackasses (e.g. Goldern Showerers) who are only there to cause trouble. i did see that mobile tiki bar, he was about 20 feet away, and if one wants to attain tailgating nirvana, pick up one of those. The cuse lads were quick to point out basketball season was just around the corner, and i quickly countered with "our 7 can beat your 7", but that didn't work quite so well.... GO BULLS!
  17. Particularly on the heels of that egg we laid on ESPN versus Cincinnati. Bowls are hoping we don't make it, at this point, I'd wager.
  18. Hey, that's the logic everyone has been espousing around here re: basketball. Must be in the USF Handbook, I guess. I aspired higher, but what the hell do I know?
  19. Not televised in tampa. i did, however, read that Mac felt comfortable they'd be very competitive versus Buffalo. GO FREAKING BASKET-BULLS!!!!!!
  20. Holy cow, what knuckleheads. Chambers has done nothing since he's been back, but Watson hurts. Having said that, "rules are rules", boys. Au revoir!
  21. He should have had an orange jersey on with a number in the 20s because he was in the backfield more than their running backs. Very tenacious speed rusher, but very small, due to his age. He should put on 20+ in a year and really be a demon. Fun to watch, no doubt. Does remind you of a smaller Pierson, good analogy.
  22. It would have made it from 60+, quite a blast. Like a driver, started out low, stayed low and strong. Actually surprised it wasn't blocked.
  23. Come on guys, drinking so early!!??! Are you sure?? Even when you factor in that beautiful, urban, concrete ambience of the "plaza" leading up to the Citrus Bowl?
  24. Me too, thank you. Just goes to show you we've all got to live while we are here. Go bulls........
