  1. It's on FSN South here... same channel that'll be airing our game.
  2. So far, just the bowl game. This year I'll be at Chapel Hill and WVU.
  3. I say we try and mix it up with BCC. I don't think they roll *quite* as deep as the Rattlers, but they're a Florida I-AA team, and the band experience will still be amazing... Plus if we beat the team in Daytona, we truly own I-4 Besides, our basketball team needs vengeance. :
  4. Catered "Q" and ice cold coca-cola. On the other hand, no law saying YOU HAVE TO tailgate on UNC controlled property. My concern is the inclusion of "inflatables". For some reason, that just doesn't sound like the sort of thing you'd be messing with in public..maybe I misinterpreted that... Or, since we're in NC, Barbeque and Cheerwine 8-)
  5. A Big East team is traveling to a current Div II school for a ROAD GAME?? But that same Big East team doesn't want to play another Div I-A school just 60 miles down the road?? LOL!!! Reminds me of the commercial jingle: Please stop the madness...don't drink and drive... Will USF ever stop the scheduling madness? KL WSSU is not a current DII institution. They made the switch this year, they are now DI. I will be at that game.
  6. There's always "ROCK CHALK OUTLINE" with a murder scene of the Jayhawk
  7. Thank you! For fellow mac users (my mac doesn't prevent me from using WMAs, but I can actually use mp3s in iTunes/on my iPod) "right click" = control + click
  8. For those of you who are getting into the Chapel Hill area the Friday night before our game, take note that Late Night with Roy will be taking place at the Dean Dome. It's Carolina's version of Midnight Madness, and a chance to get this season's first glimpse at a perennial basketball powerhouse. It starts at 6pm, and near as I can tell, it's just first-come, first-serve--it's free, but I'd expect it to fill up. I wish I had more details to give, but I thought I'd let the Carolina-bound know about it as something to do while you're in town.
  9. Even better! Great minds think alike.
  10. YEAAAAAARRRGHHHH!! (a la Howard Dean)
  11. Interesting you should say that--I was thinking recently of another uneven "rivalry" game--the Aggie-Eagle Classic, which until last year pitted the D-IAA (MEAC) NC A&T Aggies against the D-II (CIAA) NC Central Eagles. It was an uneven matchup divisionally, but drove black college football fans throughout Central NC crazy. It was played on a neutral turf (Raleigh, minutes from Central's campus in Durham and over an hour from A&T's in Greensboro) and it pumped lots into the economy. If we are going to keep this going, why not make a weekend out of it? Obviously black college football is a different animal and the weekend included step shows, concerts, a parade, battle of the bands, etc., but why not get Disney/Busch Gardens involved and make this a Tampa/Orlando affair, hopefully bringing people out for the weekend to either location? You've got two great bands involved so there's an additional event... It should also be noted, however, that A&T seems to have dropped the classic like a bad habit once Winston-Salem State, formerly of the CIAA, moved up a division and joined the MEAC, creating a new rivalry.
  12. somebody call the WAAAmbulance. And seriously, he's all over himself on the fact that he "helped" us win...
  13. Definitely ingrained, which is why I didn't suggest changing the sign--just setting it in motion.
  14. I've seen that done for folks using the same sign for metal, to symbolize "too much metal for one hand!" I've seen another variation with the two hands you describe put on the outside of two closed fists of another person--"too much metal for one man!"
  15. There is no difference--we essentially just took the hook 'em horns wholesale. That's why I'd love to see something that distinguishes between the two.
  16. I've been reading left and right, on this board and beyond, how The Bull has truly arrived as a USF tradition. That being said, how about when throwing the Go Bulls sign, give it a twist/fist pump--kind of a mini-version of what's done during The Bull? It both pays homage to one of our traditions and--at least in person and on video (it can't be helped in still photos)--helps differentiate it from the Hook 'Em Horns that it resembles. Just a thought...
  17. Next weekend the game at Kansas is televised on Fox Sports Network. I know there was some wondering (at least from myself) if that would be in all regions. Can't speak for them all, but according to my digital cable, I can confirm that it'll be on here on Fox Sports South! Any info from other regions?
  18. No, for my watching-from-home-folks... how bout this Miami-Louisville game?!
  19. there are other hats in both the college and MLB collections that pull off the "alter ego" effect they're going for there better. If it had the U with the illusion print being the charging bull from the shield, it could be hot.
  20. Won't be down at the game or anything, but y'all'll definitely have to post on here and let us know how the 5th Quarter showdown goes down!
  21. The UCF Band's upper brass helped get the USF band going, so there is definitely a difference in style. UCF probably has the best I-A band in Florida right now. The UF band is overrated and is not very good, FSU is too big and can't do anything and Miami is so bad, they have to be miced to be heard. I-A? Do they still class college bands? Or are you just using comparative classes? And lest we forget the Hunnerd and the Wildcats? I know the styles are completely different, but they're both still really **** good at what they do.
  22. College Park's actual colors are red, white, black, and gold, although the red and white usually take prominence. Black and gold are usually more prominent at its Best Campus to the north. :-)
