Actually, you're right. There would be much well-deserved ******** from the Bare Cats if that were to be the case because all other things being equal, they'd deserve it more than us on those facts. That said, let's consider it payback for '02.

Students are going to have to come through big time to make the crowd even remotely decent for both the next two home games ... I think (hope) that the crowd will be respectable against Pitt, it being Homecoming and a pretty big game in its own respect. But I expect Cuse to be a stinker.

Just happened to be checking the women's hoops schedule and noticed they're playing in the Hawk Classic in Philly on Dec. 28 and 29. I realize it's a bit early, but anyone thinking of being there? Barring a bowl game conflict, I should be home for the holidays in Delaware at the time and may be looking to go. Added bonus, I'd get to watch our Bulls smack around some of UMBC's conferencemates, Vermont and Northeastern. So who's in? BAUSFKid, I'm looking in your direction...

Watched in a televised manner since probably early adolescence, but at that point mostly casually and almost exclusively Eagles games. Watched high school football by virtue of being a marching band kid all throughout high school, but it didn't get me too hooked because our team was horrible (the example I always give is that the kid who was slated to be our "star" QB quit the team to be drum major). I went to undergrad with no football team, but got a little more into pro ball then, and casually college football (didn't really have a team, rooted passively for the Terps) So my first real college team was the Bulls once I hit grad school at USF, and that's where I've been ever since.

I think that an unbeaten WVU would go to the NC game, while an unbeaten Louisville would not. I think, however, that either team being left out in favor of a one-loss would be a miscarriage of justice.

WVU won't need to "leapfrog" the OSU/Michigan loser, should they win out. They will (or at least should), of course, but regardless the nat'l championship game won't be an OSU/Mich rematch.

I tuned into game day while they were already into the segment. They actually will be televising the Script Ohio ft. Jack Nicklaus today; unfortunately, living in ACC country (I'm sure those of you in FL also have this problem) I've got GT-Miami instead of the OSU game.

I don't really like the stripe addition on the white jerseys/pants (at least not in gold--maybe in green?) I think that in continuation of a theme, perhaps the portions of the stripe that come up to the chest can be beveled in such a manner to be reminiscent of the bull horns? Regarding the tertiary logo, I think that once you get as far down the food chain as tertiary, it's almost not worth mentioning, unless it's a zephyr special series cap or something. I think that this work as a whole would lead to a stronger brand of the iconic U. If you want to utilize an SF, it may be best to bump it up the depth chart. If the SF is tertiary and as such seldom seen, people may not know what their looking at when they see it. The shield logo, on the other hand, could be relegated to tertiary status if you add one of the iconic elements to it (either reintroducing the Iconic USF wordmark, just the Iconic U, or the SF.) Overall, I think it's quite strong work. Athletics'd do well to pick it up. I've got no (well, little) problem with the current branding, but I do believe this is a mite stronger. When's he going to get to work on the new band uniforms?

I'm fine with not all teams making the tourney. If you don't do well enough, you don't get to see postseason play. Period. None of this "candy apples for everyone" mess. Yes, my team didn't make the tourney. My team also won one game in conference all season long. There's a correlation, as well there should be.

Britt, just a little constructive criticism--now that you've got the brick-and-mortar up and running (I'm sure that's where most of y'all's focus was) you may want to make some updates to the website--what immediately comes to mind are some of the product categories having either no pictures or non-descriptive categories (like in auto accessories) and you've got a bit bad typo on the main page "Don't pay higher prices than you need too" should be "...need to" Just my pair o' pennies. :-)

Certainly wasn't earned by their football team was it?  What is their claim to fame other than being around longer. Bill Russell?  Anything else?  I think I heard something about their baseball team lst year.....Who really cares...they aren't known for much other than their PAST...we on the other have have a future ahead of us. I had a friend from the San Fran area that sent me a USF (San Francisco) shirt as a joke.  Still have it and wear it from time to time.  I ddin't read the Dodd article, but if he trying to make anything out of the USF name, that's just silly really.  Who cares? further, we are usf.edu, while they are relegated to the regional usfca.edu.

Seems to me it's the school to the East that instists most upon being known by its acronym. I know I've heard it a little from us, but it seems to me we can't deny our South Florida moniker while it sits big and bold at the heart of our fight song.

don't know if they still play it, but I'd much rather hear the whole stadium singing the fight song first. That said, it would be great if people joined into the count off... after the "Uno, Dos" everyone do the "ONE TWO TRES CUATRO!" That, and the "Go Bulls!" at the end that no one seems to take part in. HOT: My favorite thing about Wooly Bully is that that horn swing is AWESOME!
