Cousin Ricky has a good question there. It seems like we have digressed to the old offense when Taggart was making the calls last year. Makes me wonder who is running our offense? We were told Taggart would keep his hands out of it this year, but his fingerprints seem to be all over the play calling. Does he want to be the head coach or the QB on the field? He needs to get over this midlife crisis and turn it over to the Coordinators.

Zman, that was a well thought out article. I enjoyed the read & agree with your thoughts on the matter. I was always of the thought to wait until the team is doing better and seats are filled. After reading your article, I feel you have a very valid point. I agree with what you are saying. I remember going to the Auburn game and thoroughly enjoying the game experience there. I realize that Auburn has been in existence a lot longer than USF but that type of game time experience would be a great draw for players and students and alumni alike. I recall the fans lining the street waiting for "War Eagle" to drive by. That bird had a full police escort. It brought so much excitement! I am looking forward to those types of traditions in the future. We have had season tickets for over 14 years.

I voted Bench. I don't know what the problem is with Taggart, unless it's just pride in the fact that the boy he first picked is not producing. And he cannot seem to swallow his pride and admit he was wrong! It seems that Bench is always the clutch person when all else fails. Put him in, tell the WRs they will run laps for dropped balls and see how it goes. Offer the OL a steak for protecting the quarterback. Taggart needs to stay out of coaching. Let him manage the front office to do the recruiting.. I would like to see them bring the spread back. The problem is Taggart will not go to the spread because then it negates his golden boy, White. White does not have the legs under him to execute it. This power run is like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

How many yards rushing does Bench have compared to White? And how much total playing time has White had compared to Bench for both last year and this year? Can someone on this board advise me on the above questions.

I would love to know what CWT sees in White? After holding season tickets for over 14 years I have kept my mouth shut as far as the coach goes. But this see saw back and forth with quarterbacks is getting old! If we had an O- Line and receivers that could catch balls that would level the playing field and then you would see who is the better quarterback. Obviously White did not know how to fall correctly and that is how he broke his wrist. I would have thought that would be one of the first things you learn is how to fall. Personally I feel we need a dual threat QB. Bench has that capability. But CWT said he was not taking reps with the first team last week. Let him practice this week with the first squad and then let's go back and revisit his capabilities after completing a full game. Every time it seems as though Bench is going to start, then CWT talks about puttingt White back in the game. CWT needs to settle down and get some consistency at quarterback. In the meantime I think the wide receivers, and the offensive line need to be on the hot seat! It takes all whole team to win or lose!! CWT needs to stick with recruiting, management, and personnel. Let the coaches he has hired do their job. Obviously "Bresh" is doing a great job with the defense and CWT needs to let the OC do his job now!

I too heard that bench had no lateral movement on his knee and it was extremely painful doing that. He went in to try to help the team. Playing with the brace on his leg. So I understand there were some mistakes made but all in all Bench brought some spark to the team. It's a shame that he keeps getting stuck in when everything is a total mess to clean up someone else's mistakes.

They need to burn that darn red shirt and put in White. Coach T says he wants to do well for the seniors but yet the best thing would be to get Eveld out of there and put White in.

If the three man rush did not work last week, and it's not working this week why don't they get it out of there and put the four man rush back in!
