What any of our quarterbacks has over PJ right now is that they are not PJ.  I admire your patience (seriously), but PJ is a known quantity.  I didn't see my faith rewarded.  We were a running game away from sandlot football.  There was no passing game to the extent that our opponents knew that all they had to cover was our running game.  The greatest thing we could do to boost the confidence of our opponents is to have them see PJ come back out on the field.  "To continue to do the same thing and expect a different result" was Einstein's definition of insanity.  I would rather, at this point, have an unknown talent out there than our current qb.  But we will see by the third game.

Air Supply. And to think I turned down the Grateful Dead to listen to that! Be careful next time, that was enough to throw some of us oldtimers into a flashback!

It may start out as PJ, but it won't stay PJ. Grothe will be given a look and then remain the starter. Darn, haven't we had enough of PJ? Nice guy aside, we need a QB and we know exactly what we have in PJ. As a quarterback he makes a good WR.

This is like picking which tooth you would like to have root canal on. UF winning would serve us better in recruiting. Follow that with the annual humiliation of the Beatdown of Mousetown and it will definitely be to our advantage. Now I have to go shower. I feel so dirty hoping the gators win in anything.

I don't know what your budget is (you didn't give a range), but the last thing I asked for, I got (to my surprise). Two season tickets -- not the greatest seats, but they have my name on them. In exchange I agreed that they will cover all of my gift receiving holidays for the year. Otherwise, I ask for USF polo and long sleeved shirts for work.

Excellent!  My brother owns a breakfast/lunch diner in Ybor and has gator stuff in there.  I was wondering where I could get some USF stuff for when I sneak in and rip that crap off of his walls! Tell you what, fellow maniacs.  Go to Frank's Biggest Burgers at 4935 East 7th Avenue in Ybor and tell my brother Steve that you want Bull's stuff up there right away (do it with a smile and tell him Chuck sent you -- he is quite large).  Thanks.

Hear, Hear!!  I would rather gamble with what little I have seen with Grothe than be sure of what we have gotten from Justmissed.  I say we give Matt a good long look.

While watching that clip I had a uniquely male physiological response. That might explain why my wife insists that I watch it again and again... I hope the season starts soon, this is getting sick.

Since you identify yourself as an outsider, I suggest you stay outside.  And while you are at it, learn to be honest about your smack.  The passive-aggressive-victim role is way overplayed in our society.  You go/went to UCF, right?

When my daughter graduated from USF two years ago, got married, and moved to Wichita, all the gifts I got her were USF related -- diploma frame, shirts, many decals for her cars, etc. When she told us she was expecting our first grandchild, I bought her a newborn sleeper with the iconic U and "Future Bull" on it. I have four USF polo shirts and a USF long sleeve shirt for work, Alumni Association stickers on my office door window, posters in my office, USF drinking cups, etc. Bull's license plate and bumper sticker on my car. This year, it willl be a Bull's flag outside of my house. Yes, we all need to do more and TALK IT UP TO EVERYONE. I work in Lakeland and if you didn't know it already, they are an awesome USF town. But what would you expect with Matt Grothe (future all star) coming from there?!

I just sent one, too. I have a serious jones going and have watched the Beatdown of Mousetown seven times already. ;D

Since we are already BCS, that would make you guys the wannebe's, right?  So we agree, he ought not to play for you guys.  I think he realized that, but nice of you to acknowledge his caliber.  At least you got that part right.

You got that right! I think we will see him real quick in the season, at least for a look-see since we start with some easy teams. Once he settles down in a real setting, I believe the fans will insist on him playing.

My first grandchild will be born mid-September in Wichita, KS, so if the timing is right, I will be going to both the UCF and Kansas games. Already put the family on notice -- I get to hold the baby first so I can drive up from Witchita to the game! My daughter is a second generation Bull graduate. If I can get these kids to move back to Florida, there may be a third generation Bull in the making!
