  1. Very excited to see the IPF become the real deal. Easily among the absolute nicest facilities in the country. They are still doing a lot of the finishing touches, but it's obvious how no corners were cut and this will be a draw for our players and recruits. Anyone who says USF doesn't get things done; while we may have taken a bit too long to get here thanks to prior ADs, we're here now. Less than 5 years between $0 raised and this facility's construction completion. The OCS will be similar; it is likely to cost more than Raymond James Stadium did and will also easily be among the nicest in the country. Golesh is the real deal. Caught the bball game last night and that team is finally fun to watch again (yes I know the next step is turning from finally being competitive into wins, but improving). Stick around, Bulls family. Dark times behind us, but this is shaping up to be a great decade to be a Bull
  2. Not now that a lot of talent is graduating and/or transferring out...
  3. Those words he speaks do give me hope. Even more so perhaps is that The Sheriff is on board and Cincy fans are all pissy they missed out on him. This guy sounds like the blue collar work ethic we have needed.
  4. All I know is this new coach has a long way up to go in a lot of ways. Resurrecting the program, bringing talent to coordinator and position coaching roles, recruiting players who have never heard of him, earning fan respect and admiration without a resumè which immediately commands it. May he have the work ethic, football knowledge, luck, and style to climb those mountains.
  5. Not gonna lie; I am very underwhelmed and quite disappointed with the reported USF HC hire. Desperately hoping that MK knows something we don't, because on paper, this is quite an unimpressive hire. I understand if we couldn't afford Deion, and sure we might have had trouble competing with Liberty for Chadwell, but there were a lot of great *proven* head coaches on the board. Golesh has ONE year as an OC, and he'snot even fully an OC. Prior to that, UCF TE coach. Prior to that, all position coaching. This is NOT. NOT. NOT. the resume of someone I would hope we could attract as USF head coach. For the record, I would 100% without a SHADOW OF A DOUBT preferred Daniel Da Prato to be promoted as HC over taking this guy. PLEASE tell me DDP will be kept on, Trickett will be kept, and this guy gets a short leash. I would rather DDP got a 1 year contract than this; could have allowed us to see what's upcoming next hiring cycle and tried out DDP in the process. Golesh doesn't have a resumè better than DDP and at least we know DDP is committed to USF. Not. Happy. W.T.F. I really stood behind MK but this hire has left me questioning everything.
  6. Would love this to happen for Leavitt. But seriously, when someone is blackballed by the NFL and everything bearing his name is taken down from the NFL stadium in our own city, there is absolutely no way MK hires Gruden. I think we would take Leavitt long before we would take Gruden, and lord knows as much as some of our fans want it, USF won't be rehiring Jim Leavitt. Your handle and avatar are cute, though.
  7. Didn't realize there were so many weak-willed in the USF fan base. Suck it up. Patience is a virtue. It is also a requirement. And don't tell me if you're still a USF fan these days that you don't have any.
  8. Hey hey now, it's not my boat getting floated here. Keep in mind, my job is to save Florida Man... from himself. Unplugging inappropriately plugged orifices with a surprising menagerie of objects is my specialty. And they pay me to do it!!
  9. You're telling me that as a lawyer you don't encounter people with whom you must negotiate, and who don't drag out negotiations, stall, or hinge their decisions on outside factors which can add delays?
  10. I would LOVE to go back to Under Armour. I really dislike Adidas in comparison. The UA gear is leaps and bounds better, IMHO. Some orifices can be plugged.
  11. I, for one, am impressed with how there have been no leaks. Harlan's dept leaked like a sieve, and Woolard didn't exactly inspire people to stay loyal. Speaks highly of MK, both the strong control and on back end loyalty in USF Athletics staying mum. I am willing to bet there's an excellent reason for keeping things close to the vest and "not controlling the narrative" and even if there wasn't, there's no good reason to pander to anyone who is whiny and/or impatient. Let him cook. This post of yours is disappointing.
  12. That is a great article. Makes him sound rather Leavitt-like!
  13. I think it will be Jamey Chadwell, of Coastal Carolina, who would be an excellent pick.
  14. I think after USF announces a new coach, the folks on this board who have said some silly and ill-informed things about VPMK should all line up and put their feet in their mouths.
  15. A big reason the Bulls showed up last night was Coach Da Prato. Cut him some slack; he did a hell of a job for that game. 28-7 at the half made most of us worry it would be 56-7 at the end. CDDP put some fire in some bellies at half time, no doubt. The title of this thread is just plain inappropriate.
  16. The Bulls played a hell of a game last night. I just don't think it was the slime; I think it was their heart.
  17. One call in an otherwise great game of calls shouldn't make or break someone's career. Besides, I don't mean he needs to be HC or OC, I'm just hoping we keep him at USF. Would like to see him get chances to works his way up the ranks. Love his fire
  18. The jerseys are fugly. Go back to looking and playing like a real football team.
  19. He only ever gave a sh!t about himself. Trashed our history, our personality, and our character in favor of Willie. Bye, Felicia.
  20. I actually really like Coach Da Prato and hope we keep him on.
  21. Oh yeah, the nobody who brought down our greatest football coach which in turn set back our Athletics program for years. Meh, nobody here remembers that.
