  1. So confusing. The Bowl system is full of crap, none of it makes sense except for money grubbers unwilling to let go of their cash cows. The BCS and the bowl system are simply nowhere near fair. That being said, USF IS GOING BOWLING THIS YEAR, BABY!
  2. I hate to say this but if I'm at a USF football game from now on that is anything like the Louisville game, I'll be in the 1st wave and I'll definitely respond with an equal amount of any physical force with which I'm met. The penalty isn't too bad for a first-time offender, and I'd say it's worth it ;-)
  3. This is a load of BS. USF already has problems supporting well-funded classrooms and course options as opposed to faculty-based research, supporting Greek Life, and taking student-centered initiatives across many boards - Athletics is already full of it in most circumstances, and when you take away important spirit-enhancing activities such as rushing the field after a top-10 defeat, I'm starting to wonder where our priorities are. But I guess I didn't need to - they aren't often with students to being with....
  4. Did ANYBODY notice that UM didn't spank us NEARLY as bad as we screwed Louisville up??? 27-7 = not as bad as 45-14. And frankly, my opinion is that if it hadn't been raining, we wouldn't have screwed up so bad off the bat. Our skills are already precarious, between PJ as QB and our question mark receiver situation. Add rain in the mix to that and our chances got way slimmer.
  5. Kyle, I SO thought that before the game. We never play well in those whites. Hey, WE STILL BEAT THE SPREAD BABY! -Faza
  6. That, sir, is excellent, and I applaud you for it! I've got plane tickets to almost every home game, but sadly the Louisville game was during a weekend that I had a major test. BUT, my girlfriend was one of the people tackled on the field. I trust her account, and it was confirmed by other painted folk around her. She is 5'2'' and 90 pounds. She's the girl that was put on the big screen with the "Bring On Miami" sign, which I saw on the TV - Brittany. Some 250-pound RJS employee tackled her from behind when the painted guys lifted her down to avoid her having to jump so far. He then punched her in the face to "keep her down." What was she going to do, yell the goal posts down? Stare them down? She's 90 pounds! That's like my left leg! Good to meet you as well, Gene!
  7. I may have been miles away, but I spent four years pouring my heart and soul into my University, and I will spent the rest of my life pouring more in every day. My experiences there made me who I am - and I will always be indebted to USF for that. I think I hold a significant share in what happens at USF, as does every alumnus and current student. There are no miles between me and USF, that's for sure. And the cops and the RJS employees simply took things way too far, and they deserve to be compared with words that describe their actions. YOU BETTER F-ING BELIEVE IT'S A CELEBRATORY RIGHT! Have you EVER attended a football game at a big name school? Let me give you an example - you got to Tennessee, and the ENTIRE state bleed orange from tip to tip. Businesses shut down on game day, and people come from miles and miles away for Tennessee games. Pay attention to their actions after a huge win. Just a thought. P.S. UCF tore down their goal posts after breaking a 17-game losing streak. USF students could have been allowed to rush the field, it's not like sneakers would have damaged it more than cleats. Well your comment about donating millions is delightfully sarcastic. I don't care what you do with your money but I'll put mine where my heart is. BTW - my name's Brandon, but you can call me Faza.
  8. Yes. The painted folk were explicitly told they could rush if they didn't tear down the goal posts.
  9. OK I saw the postings about who has a big head, and I've just got to respond to that one. I'm a USF alum in medical school at UMiami right now. Let me just say, UM has some of the most undeservedly arrogant fans I have ever met. Their games are boring, because they only have two cheers, and the student presence is absolutely pathetic. Their stadium is probably the crappiest event venue in Miami, and that's saying a lot. They've had success with a football team that's ten times more funded than a state school like USF, and that somehow entitles them to think they are gods. Not only are UM fans uber-arrogant, but their players are too. Listen to this: UM Says Smart Money On Them Published: Sep 28, 2005 TAMPA - University of Miami junior S Brandon Meriweather said he expects a tough game with the University of South Florida Saturday night. In fact, he said USF's players are talented enough to play for Miami, if they were only smart enough. "People underestimate South Florida all the time, but honestly they got the same caliber of players we got," Meriweather said. "The only reason their players are at South Florida and not UM is because their grades couldn't get through, they couldn't get them through the NCAA Clearinghouse or something like that. Of course, the game is probably going to be a very tough game, actually." I hope this Miami team falls flat on its butt this Saturday, not just because I want the Bulls to win, but because UM fans deserve the slap in the face far more than Louisville's fans ever did.
  10. Thanks, boss. I have a lot of the Bulls stuff on the truck - I took some off because it started to look faded with the weather, and I didn't want it to be vandalized again (poor med student here). On the back window, I replaced what was there with "My head says 'Canes, but my heart says BULLS" and "Cane Now, BULL FOREVER." But the taillights, mirrors, tailgate, hitch cover, etc. are still as they always were. You're a sexy beast BC!
  11. Two Athletics employees and one RJS employee verbally told the painted guys they would be allowed to rush the field if they left the goal posts alone. My girlfriend was one of the people tackled on the field. She is 5'2'' and 90 pounds. Some 250-pound RJS employee tackled her from behind and punched her in the face to "keep her down." What the hell was she going to do, yell the goal posts down? Stare them down? She's 90 pounds! That's like my left leg! If they really wanted to protect the goal posts, they should have just posted a ring of cops around both of them. Let's not forget - UCF rushed the field and tore down to goal posts after beating Marshall - ending a 17-game losing steak. This was the biggest win in our school's history and we were denied basic celebratory rights. This is just a nail in RJS' future coffin. I'm a recent alum but I'm in med school, and the second I get my hands on some millions I'm campaigning for a USF stadium to replace University Mall. The Bucs are already run like crap, there's no reason for the management to apply that crap to their treatment of USF. Those dirtbags haven't heard the end from the likes of me.
  12. Gentlemen, You're all familiar with how big of a Bulls fan I am. I had a truck with the logo plastered all over it, and Ryan, Alex, Samvid and I started the Beef Studs. Keep that in mind... I'm still not convinced that we're just going to walk into the OB and dominate a team that consistently faces much harder opponents than we ever have. Do we have a shot? After last week, I think I'd be a fool to think we didn't. But the worst thing that can happen is for fans and players to get a big head about ONE win, and screw up the bigger game. Not only would a win against Miami in the OB most likely lead to USF's first official bid for being ranked, but it would afford bragging rights for ages to come. That means when we walk into the OB this Saturday, we respect the other team's fans, and we just turn around and cheer louder for our team than they cheer for theirs. That means the team has to forget that we beat Louisville, and get into the same mindset they were in before we played Louisville. The predictions are chillingly the same: unranked team vs. #9 team, 21-point spread. Miami isn't untouchable. But theyre not that touchable, either. I'll be at the game painted Green and Gold and ready to rush the field the second the game is over (keep in mind, I'm now in med school at UMiami). Just remember - the respect is as much if not more important than the win. Classy fans can do nothing but invite respect, especially when the team complements such worthiness.
  13. USF 24 - 17 318 A. Hall (Gets a big break away reception)
  14. I don't know about the rest of you, but for me it doesn't matter when kickoff is. I'm in med school at U. Miami now, and I'm definitely painting up GREEN AND GOLD in the USF section as always. I'll be dedicating the entire weekend to the festivities, and since I live about a block from the Orange Bowl, I'll be tailgating from early in the morning. Miami fans may not fear us on the scoreboard yet, but they can begin to respect our spirit and our fans. If anybody will be there early (I don't know when the SG bus and the SBC trip will be down), stop by and look for the guy with the spiky hair and BULLS all over the truck!
