  1. In regards to tailgating time, not sure how it will be handled this year with the Bucs facility being completed, but we've never had a problem getting into the "old mall" parking lot. Normally we show up between 11am and Noon to start tailgating and have never been denied entrance or told we can't set-up that early. When the gate people show-up we'll provide them and the TPD officers a plate and some beverages and all is good. That used to get us free parking, but they've become more stringent with that. Even still, $7 for being able to park and party all day isn't bad at all. For the TCU game a few years ago most of our group took that Friday off and we actually showed up around 9am and had no issues what-so-ever. Will probably try and do that for the Rutgers game this season as well. Like I said, don't know how they'll handle this now that the Bucs are "officially" on-site, but that lot has always been there for us in the past.
  2. I wouldn't doubt it. CJL seems to drool all over himself whenever he gets a chance to talk about Moise. Don't discount Ricky though. He showed some very impressive flashes when he got a chance to spell Andre last season. If they both prove themselves well its definately not a bad problem to have.
  3. CONGRATS!!! In the words of BigShoop, thats **** fine parenting right there
  4. Rutgers was an awesome game, even though we did just about everything we could to try and hand it back to them. 1, 2, 3 BOOM!!!!!
  5. We've got a crew of 15 heading up Friday night. Going to either Downtown Disney or CityWalk. We should definately try to arrange a Green and Gold gathering somewhere.
  6. - TCU - UConn - Army (personal note: not only did we lose our Homecoming Game to F'ing ARMY, I took a header off of the roof of our tailgating RV that day. Luckily the canvas overhang broke my fall so I hit the ground somewhat gently. Sorry Shoop   )
  7. - Last year's L'ville game - L'ville 2003. - Bowling Green - TCU 2004. Wasn't there in person, but it was a great shootout and about 6 of us sprinted into my room from the living room to turn on the radio right as the TCU extra point got blocked cause the TV coverage crapped out. - MCCB. Can't not include the 1st ever bowl game, even though the outcome sucked.
  8. I'm diggin the U's in the end zone, very unique. One change I would make would be to put USF in one endzone, then have Bulls in the other. Also, for recognition purposes I would say the U at mid-field and the shield on the 35s.
  9. According to this it appears we'll have to be on their schedule during the time in which they plan on scheduling the neutral site games: Louisville to play Notre Dame in 2009 or 2010 This will be the first meeting between the Cardinals and Irish. According to the Louisville Sports Report (rivals.com) University of Louisville Athletic Director Tom Jurich has confirmed that the University of Louisville will take on Notre Dame. According to the info, the game will either be played in 2009 or 2010. As of now no return date has been announced. The Deal is probaly part of the Deal Notre Dame Signed with the Big East Football Schools last year. The deal calls for the irish to play all the football schools by 2012. So far in the agreement ND has scheduled Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and now Louisville. //www.cfbpalace.net/Article21.phtml
  10. Maybe he has some friends who play basketball......those are the NJ recruiting ties I wanna see
  11. To steal a phrase from Al Davis and the Raiders: "Just Win Baby". This is the only marketing tool that you need in Tampa. It happened with the Bucs and it happened with the Lightning. When you win people all of a sudden care that you exist and going to the game becomes an event. Also, students. I know there are students on here that go to every game and support the Bulls through thick and thin, but there has to be a way to get the students to see the game as more than just a social gathering to tailgate for a few hours, go hang out by the pirate ship for a half then leave. Our core crew has a total of like 2 or 3 students and 2 alumni, yet we are able to get the same front row seats in the student section every home game.
  12. How is Brandon Baker not on this list........this is an OUTRAGE!!!!
  13. South Florida Bulls 2006 Schedule 9/2 McNeese State 9/9 Florida International 9/16 at UCF 9/23 at Kansas 9/29 Rutgers 10/7 Connecticut 10/14 at North Carolina 10/21 at Cincinnati 11/4 Pittsburgh 11/11 Syracuse 11/18 at Louisville 11/25 at West Virginia 2005 overall record: 6-6 Conference record: 4-3 Returning starters Offense: 7, Defense: 7, Kicker/punter: 0 2005 statistical leaders (* returners) Rushing: Andre Hall (1,374 yds) Passing: Pat Julmiste* (1,489 yds) Receiving: Hall (321 yds) Tackles: Ben Moffitt* (96) Sacks: Terrence Royal (10) Interceptions: 6 players tied with 2 Spring answers: Answers? Those are a little hard to come by when eight potential starters are out with injury. So, it was a spring shrouded in mystery -- and it wasn't exactly productive (we'll get to that soon). But some positive signs arose here and there. First of all, transfer Amp Hill will contribute right away. Even with a brace on his knee, he caught everything in sight, no matter where it was thrown. A prep legend from Jacksonville, Hill became lost in the shuffle at LSU after a devastating knee injury in 2003. As long as he's healthy, there's no danger of that happening at USF. … Every time coach Jim Leavitt talked about the defense, it seemed Jerome Murphy was always the first name to come out of his mouth. The true freshman cornerback enrolled early and made an immediate impression, capping it all off with two picks in the spring game. He looks like a nice addition to what is already a loaded secondary. Don't forget the Bulls had the sixth-stingiest pass defense in the country last year (165 ypg). … And don't forget how much the linebackers had to do with that, either. OK, so the team didn't really learn anything about its linebacking group it didn't already know. Depth is still needed here, but the starting three are simply tremendous. The trio of Ben Moffitt, Stephen Nicholas and Patrick St. Louis is the heart and soul not only of the defense but also of the team. Nicholas piled up seven sacks last season and has NFL written all over him, and Moffitt and St. Louis combined for 25 tackles for loss. As long as you're not running toward them, they are fun to watch. Fall questions: We'll begin where spring questions always begin at USF: quarterback. Before practice began, it looked as though it might be the first controversy-free QB situation in years. Not only was the job given to sophomore Carlton Hill but Leavitt and offensive coordinator Rod Smith even visited Texas and Missouri in the offseason to see how those programs catered their offenses around an athletic signal caller similar to Hill. So what happened? Well, the anointed one missed the first half of practice to focus on academics and Pat Julmiste started to show the consistency he so obviously had lacked the past two years. Throw in the accurate arm of redshirt freshman Matt Grothe, and we have a debate under center yet again. All three had plenty of faults, and no one took charge, but for now at least, Julmiste has the slightest of leads. Stay tuned. … Does anyone want to replace record-setting RB Andre Hall? Even with the struggles of the passing game the last couple of years, the Bulls could always count on Hall. But now the job falls to redshirt freshman Moise Plancher or sophomore Ricky Ponton, neither of whom strikes fear into Big East defensive coordinators at the moment. It's not as though this offense was all that good in the first place -- remember the shutout in the bowl game? Now, the running game is an unknown and all three starters on the interior of the O-line are new. On the surface at least, it looks as though things are going to get worse on this side before they get better. … Leavitt always emphasizes the importance of the front four on the defensive side, but he has some gaping holes to deal with this season. Three of the starters have departed, including end Terrence Royal and his 10 sacks from last year. There's some experience at the vacated nose tackle spot, but not on the ends. … With an offense that at times seems immune to the end zone, the importance of a solid punter and kicker is exacerbated. Well, the Bulls lost a three-year starter at punter, and kicker Kyle Bronson decided to transfer. Plenty of players had an opportunity at both those spots this spring, but nobody took charge of either. This could be a problem. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2428578

  15. At this point it appears to be a crap shoot on where Andre is going to go. Nice to see that he is getting such positive pub from a number of NFL teams. Any team picking in Rd. 3 or 4 with an upcoming need at RB will be taking a stong look at Andre.
  16. Its not about being content with not being the best. As I've stated before, we all care immensely about the University and its athletic programs or else we wouldn't be on here everyday discussing these things. We all want big things for this program, the difference is that we all have different opinions on how we should get there. Some want win at all costs, some are more concerned with how the program is viewed as a whole. Using the whole Huggins situation as an example, there is no arguing with the results he has produced on the court. Would it be nice to see USF basketball on SportsCenter beating UConn and Syracuse? Of course it would. But is it worth also having to see USF on SportsCenter for recruiting violations, player suspensions and coaches getting arrested? Its not that the people who support Mac think the b-ball team can't be top notch, its more that they have a belief that he can do it the right way, by building a solid program as a whole. If he doesn't improve and AD Wollard sees fit then he will be dismissed. The thing is some people get so caught up in winning and nothing else that they don't want to take notice at the positive things that Mac did with essentially a 7 man squad, 2 or 3 of which arguably had no business being on the court with other Big East teams. I'm not here to be a Mac apologist, and I'm not saying that the people of the opinion that "winning isn't everything, its the only thing" are wrong for thinking that way, but I don't think its right to think that there is a single person on this board that doesn't want the Bulls to be the best in everything they do.
  17. At this point why don't they just have 59 bowl games and make everyone happy? Everyone gets to play in a bowl game and the degenerate gamblers get another 23 games to bet on (which is a big reason why there are so many bowl games to begin with).
  18. Funny, I get the same feeling reading some of the opinions posted on here
  19. My, I really touched a nerve there didn't I. I apologize greatly, I forgot that the Dolphins last Super Bowl victory came a whopping 5 years after the Jets won theirs (long before both of us were born)
  20. Thanks, its almost as if its become a tradition at this point. Its either a shower of boo's or a look of utter disbelief......followed by a shower of boo's. ESPN actually did a brilliant montage during last year's draft of Jets fans voicing their displeasure with various draft picks.
  21. and as a Dolphins fan you must also be used to disappointment, constant underachievement and not winning after Thanksgiving ;D
  22. Funny, I get the same feeling everytime I see 83's sig line BTW 83, when are you going to change that Culpepper jersey to read Harrington ;D
  23. If thats the case just PM or throw a post out there that you're looking for tix and I should be able to getcha one. I purchased 2 for myself and I'll be using mine to get into the game, but the 2nd ticket is pretty much open. I also can get tickets through my work for just about every game because we're a sponsor of USF Football.
  24. Section 125, Row A, Seats 17-24 We're in the first endzone section next to the visitors area, from the pylon to the aisle. We'll probably upgrade over time but for now these were most affordable, plus we can police the visitors section ;D
