  1. One would hope that the suites would free up some of those floor seats, but you have to think, if people have the money to be a big donor and be able to afford a suite, they can afford to keep the floor seats on top of it. When I was an usher at the Ice Palace (bout 4 years ago), if you worked on the lower level you were constantly being told to keep a close eye on the seats on the glass. Reason being, there were a good number of people who owned both a suite and those seats on the glass, and if the person was in their suite and saw that someone was sitting in their "front row" seats, they would call down and have that person moved out of their seats.
  2. Thanks for the update Eric. As always it is greatly appreciated.
  3. Shoop and I were talking at the Villanova game..........take out the bleachers in the student section and put them on the floor, with risers for them to stand on..........allows access for more people and creates a much better atmosphere. Also, why does the student section end before you get behind the visitors bench?? Of all places that the student section should be, it should be back there. One more thing.........get the person who found my wallet at the Villanova game to return it........that would be greatly appreciated ;D
  4. Respected conferences?? C-DOA wasn't much regarded as a football power BEFORE L'Ville, Cincy and USF migrated over to the BE and the crop of schools they brought over didn't do much to bolster the recognition. Everyone and their brother is still crying that the BE shouldn't be a BCS school because they don't have schools named Miami and Va Tech anymore. WVU and L'Ville helped reverse the trend somewhat with their bowl performances, but come the pre-season I'm sure we'll find ourselves in the same boat. I'm not trying to complain about some actual positive press about football in the BE, but it looks like he was just trying to find something nice to say to bolster his spin.
  5. they have enough trouble driving up there without that type of distraction going on........although it would make paying the outrageous tolls a little more worth while
  6. If we keep building these residence halls where are we going to find the room for the OCS ;D
  7. Amen to that. With our BE exposure there is no reason we shouldn't be able to start pulling kids from these areas.
  8. Yeah, between Ponton, Simpson and the recruit we have coming in (can never remember his name) we should be fine at RB. There are more pressing areas on the offensive side of the ball that need to be addressed.
  9. Thats what I'm talking about Reaper!!!!! A Bull to lead the Green and White to the Promised Land!!!!
  10. On NBC right now. Lets watch and ***** about why we don't get recruits like that
  11. Ahhhh, anything to throw something else at Leavitt's feet. Nevermind all the other people telling him why he should go pro and pulling him in every direction on why thats whats best for him. I'm sure its the coach who is sitting there giving him the reasons why he should leave rather than stay for his senior season. No matter who tells him what, he is going to make his own decision and do what he wants to do.
  12. As great as it might be, I wouldn't even let the thought creep into your mind while we play our games at RJS.........no way the Glazers would let us run a live bull around their field ::cough::paid for with our tax dollars::cough::
  13. Awesome pics.........looks like you kids partied it up right!!!! Do you by chance know of a girl with the last name Giaccone on the squad? Just curious cause I play on the same hockey team as her dad.
  14. Kawika Mitchell, Andre Hall : Its not always about the coach being able to convince kids to stay for the 4 years, its about the kids wanting to stay for 4 years. As for Nicholas, I know everyone isn't all about stats, but he didn't lead the team in ANY statistical category defensively on the season. For bout the only guy being talked about on the defense at the beginning of the season, leaves a little bit to be desired for someone looking to make the leap to the next level.
  15. All total we had 8 (Denson - 1 and A. Jackson - 1), but I think you would be pretty hard-pressed to find another D-1 team with less than 10
  16. Normally I wouldn't take 3rd hand information seriously, but it came from a former player who seems to still have good contact within the team, so I put a little more credence in it than I usually would. I may have misconstrued the taking things seriously part, but I know it was definately said that he wasn't representing himself as a much better option than what we currently have.
  17. USF avg. offense per game 347.6 yds Andre's contribution 141.2 yds Andre also caught 2 of Julmiste's whopping 6 TD passes this season. All I can say is some guys better be ready to step it up BIG TIME, or we will have plenty to complain about offensively next season.
  18. I find it somewhat disheartening that there wasn't even a QB mentioned, but in talking to BigShoop during the bowl game, he got it on good authority that Mr. Grothe hasn't taken things very seriously this season and hasn't shown himself to be any better of an option at QB
  19. That guy in the Brandon Baker jersey is the MAN.......how'd you get so lucky to hang out with a guy like him ;D
  20. I couldn't agree more. I had goose bumps seeing Andre do that after the game. As he was walking from midfield towards the tunnel, we had about half of section 135 chanting his name, and to see him acknowledge the fans and show his love for the school that way was AWESOME. Thank you Andre and all of our seniors!!!!
  21. Agreed, glad to see what WVU did for the BE.....and even L'Ville in a loss.....they had a back-up qb who took an absolute POUNDING and had Va Tech on the ropes and should have had the game won. On a side note, its funny to see fans carry the banner of their conference during bowl season. I was at Buffalo Wild Wings in Brandon to watch the ND/Ohio State game and while the Cap One and Gator Bowl were on, all the Ohio State fans were cheering loud for Wisconsin and there was a rogue Seminole fan hanging out cheering for Va Tech.
  22. Wow Shoop......who stole your handle and made that post Now, for another one of my brilliant ideas........Brandon Baker jerseys for everyone!!!!! ;D
