  1. might wanna check your sources. They retained majority of their defense, with nine of their eleven starting players returning. Western Kentucky enters the 2023 season as the favorite to win the Conference USA WWW.SPORTSKEEDA.COM The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers have been one of the best programs in the Conference USA. They finished the 2022 season in second place with a 9-5 (6-2)...
  2. lol you're comparing 3 years to 1 game we lost because our redshirt freshman qb turned the ball over 3 times and their graduate student qb who won a div 2 championship and had 40 td passes for wku last year did not turn it over.
  3. wku had the 44th ranked scoring defense last year.
  4. couldn't have been said better. at least the game wasn't over by the 2nd quarter. clean up the turnovers and we win this game.
  5. I'll take the 540 total yards. clean up the turnovers and we win this game.
  6. If only we had the $3.5M + more to pay him we will be fine with Golesh. he is bringing in quality talent. maybe not as fast as dion but he will leave colorado as soon as he can.
  7. yeah the difference in the game was a redshirt freshman (and his expected mistakes) vs a graduate student qb who won a d2 national championship and had 40 tds last year for wku. one turned the ball over. the other didn't. we will be just fine.
  8. yeah it only took tulane's coach 7 years to turn it around....he went 2-10 in year 6.
  9. absolutely. I want someone that looks like their dog just died. I want someone who is hurt and pissed.
  10. TCUs were in the 30's. Back when they beat LSU in the sugar bowl 3-2. and Carnegie Tech in the sugar bowl to go 11-0. I guess go ahead and add them. Might as well put UCF in there too. still doesn't come close to acc Texas and Oklahoma are in the SEC
  11. who says fsu has anywhere to go? they were publicly begging sec to come to their rescue. not even a peep. Big 12 has 2 national titles in football. colorado and byu. add up what fsu, clemson, miami, pitt and notre dame have. I'm guessing more than 2. Not to mention basketball titles with unc, duke, syracuse, etc. academics aren't even close. only big 12 fans think they are anywhere near acc.
  12. maybe. they clearly want big 18 invite. they are doing a $300m stadium renovation.
  13. I just think the big 12 hype is a little overblown. they are essentially the teams nobody wanted from the old big 12, pac 12 and some aac teams that moved up. the acc lost south carolina in 1971 and maryland. the big 12 has lost nebraska, missouri, oklahoma, texas, texas a&m, colorado (once) even if the acc loses it's top 4 to sec, they will be able to back fill quite easily and maybe even with some big 12 teams. the power 2 don't want anyone else from big 12 so I guess they have that going for them.
  14. again fsu and clemson are not paying $300m buyout to join big 12. acc even without them will be a better conference than big 12 in both academics and athletics.
  15. so you think fsu and clemson will pay what is estimated to be a $300million dollar buyout to move to the big 12 for the same money and less prestige?
  16. again they would all jump at an sec offer. fsu publicly begged for one. big 12 is completely different. they aren't going to pay a ridiculous buyout for the same money and less prestige. the big 12 is a step down from acc.
  17. he's just a wvu fan that thinks the big 12 is better than sliced bread. ACC is worlds better in prestige (academic and athletic) and pays out about the same. fsu and clemson would not make a lateral move money wise for a less prestigious conference. especially with a huge buyout. the big 12 will go away before the acc does. they are just leftovers that nobody wanted from old big 12, pac 12 and the few aac teams.
  18. big 12 doesn't pay anymore than acc. acc actually looks like they are going to an uneven revenue share. that could benefit fsu and clemson.
  19. lol this guy is a joke. Stanford wanted nothing to do with big 12. why would fsu and clemson move down conferences
  20. Miami hasn't won squat since joining acc. they played for 1 conference championship and were blown out. ask their dwindling fanbase if they would rather be in the old big east where they won national championships. my guess would be that they prefer the old days.
  21. again espn doesn't own any of the leagues or the content. that's why they want to partner. those team specific channels like MSG are owned by the teams (which will become much more common now with how cheap streaming is). espn is not the gold standard. they are just a cable channel that is renting the rights for a little while longer. Bally's is the same. they are going through bankruptcy and NBA,NHL and MLB teams will all get less and might even start their own networks with how easy it is now.
  22. I can't say one way or another but if he went to them with the possibility of joining and they said no thanks what else can he do
  23. did you read the article? the guy is saying you might have to pay $400-$500 per month just to get the same sports you were getting on cable because they would no longer be subsidized. That's my argument. Basic economics say that there will be far higher prices and far fewer people.
