Super cool thing is we have 5 in the bigs now, McClanahan, Peter Strzelecki, Austin Adams (albiet on the IL), Jimmy Herget (called back up yesterday after being demoted earlier) and now Coco. Would have had 6 but David Villar was struggling at the plate and was sent down to get his swing together. Coco had 56 runs, 47 RBI, 12 HR, 14 doubles and 4 triples in 243 ABs for the Isotopes this yr, OBP .401 and Slg .560. Its no wonder he got the call.

It seems odd to me that we don't have a swimming/diving team. Isn't there a pool behind the Sundome? Or is that gone? Seems to me that a swimming/diving team would be more successful that a x-country team in Florida but idk, its prolly more expensive. Anyone have any history on that?

We haven't started out our Spring championship run very well at all. With women's Golf finishing 5th in the tournament, the women's tennis team getting knocked out by Memphis in the quarters, the men being a 6 seed in tennis this year, Wichita St. destroying the league in softball, and men's baseball, well baseball will be baseball, we are never the favorites. Unless men's Golf pulls through this may be the first spring in a while that i can remember where we haven't won at least 1 conference tournament. And if that does happen that will mark the first year in a long time where we haven't won a conference championship in any sport. Yes we had a great womens bball team that underachieved, a women's soccer team that was upset in the semis, a men's soccer team that lost in the championship, but no hardware as of yet. Let's hope for a turnaround soon! Edit: Just been informed we didnt win any championships last year either? Could be 2 years in a row? Jeez.....

Wow, worst result in conference play since at least 2013. 1 seed has never lost in the quarter final round of the AAC tournament

I find it hard to believe they would not be an at large. The assumption was that the Bulls were going to be a six seed and run through the tourney, so much for that. but maybe a 8 or 10 seed and a second team whomever wins the conference. It sucks being in an non biased conference. You have to win to keep up with the bias, but winning too much for any team during the regular season is not good for post-season lives, unless you are the Patriots or the Women UCONN Huskies. Those girls believed the hype, too much noise about a 'special' season. A special season in USF womens basketball history puts a lot of mental baggage on players. Its too bad that they picked the worst time to come up with their worst game of the season. Still think they will get an at-large. Would like to get a 10 seed so that they wont face the 1 seed in the second round.

It still makes my stomach sink when i see the schedule and remember that UCF is passed us by with their middle finger in the review mirror....ugh...no more cincy, no more GO COOOOOOOOGS, well actually, that last one might be a good thing.

They beat Michigan State today, load of Freshmen on the team, great experience against the high caliber teams, Not concerned, Erickson will have them back in the tourney this, maybe not this yr but def next. i wish our baseball team had 1/2 as much success.

Great finish for the mens team, coming in 1st in the mens 4x400 gave the Bulls 102.5pts and 3rd place overall, best finish since joining the AAC, previous best finish was 71 pts and a 5th place. First time they have scored over 100 points in the championship since I don't know when, i certainly don't remember, maybe back in the day. Last place finishes around the covid yr, 25.5pts and 29 pts respectively, 67 pts last and a 5th place last year and todays 3rd place. Maybe a championship next yr? GO BULLS!

yeah, its just a recommendation, somehow the idea is to get 25% of all schools that participated in a sport to the post-season which when you look at the pros, 14/32 NFL teams make the playoffs, i think all NHL and NBA team make the playoffs(sarcasm) even MLB, perennially the old man on the porch has expanded to 12/30, so really the 25% isn't that unrealistic. Since there are 363 teams that play basketball that would be about 90 teams. However, there are already 100 teams that make the post season between NCAA+NIT+CBI, so as usual, it comes down to the NCAA wanting a bigger slice of the pie and more $$$
