  1. My guess is that PJ starts and plays the first half.  MG plays the second half with the first team offense for a few series.
  2. Perhaps the WFTS Program Director got 1001 phone calls today? ÂÂ
  3. Doug, the donor lots are closer to the stadium. Thus the premium...
  4. I received mine today also.  I'm in section 206.  I'm psyched we are on the club level. ÂÂ
  5. I'm concerned for this teams chemistry, depth & experience level.  Am I justified in being a bit skittish? Don't sweat it Doug.  We're starting 10-0.  Just ask anyone here...
  6. If I've learned one thing about this team over the years it is this:  We will win a game we should lose and lose a game we should win. For some reason that UCF game is scaring me... :-/
  7. I am really going to enjoy watching the defense this year.  If we can get some good defensive line play our D will keep us in every game this year. So I read this the same way Greg does in that our defense is just that good and our offense is still below average.
  8. October 2, 2004 - Raymond James Stadium  Southern Miss 27, South Florida 20 TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Dustin Almond threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns, helping Southern Mississippi remain unbeaten with a 27-20 win over South Florida on Saturday night. Anthony Harris ran for 59 yards and one touchdown for the Golden Eagles (3-0, 2-0 Conference USA), who won their 11th straight league game dating back to last season. South Florida lost for just the third time in its last 27 home games. Andre Hall had 56 yards and a touchdown for South Florida (2-2, 1-1), which fell behind 20-3 early in the third quarter before attempting to rally. Pat Julmiste threw a 9-yard scoring pass to S.J. Green with 1:38 left, but that was one of the few bright spots for South Florida's quarterback -- who was intercepted four times in the game and finished 14-of-35 for 150 yards. Southern Mississippi controlled the clock, keeping the ball for more than 36 minutes. The Golden Eagles outgained South Florida 312-205. Darren McCaleb had a pair of field goals for the winners, who scored 17 unanswered points over the middle two quarters to take control. McCaleb's 41-yard field goal early in the second quarter put his team up 6-3, and Otho Graves caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from Almond with 7:25 left before halftime for a 13-3 lead. Almond's second scoring pass, a 45-yard strike to Marvin Young two minutes into the third quarter, put Southern Mississippi up 20-3. South Florida drew within 20-10 on Hall's 1-yard run late in the third quarter, but Harris' 11-yard run with 5:41 left -- set up by one of the four interceptions -- restored the Golden Eagles' two-touchdown cushion. I'm not trying to pile on PJ and I do realize this was two seasons ago, but this game sticks out in my mind.  If I remember correctly a couple of those interceptions were in the red zone.  With any kind of decent QB play in that game we would have won. ÂÂ
  9. The frustrating part, for the coaches I'm sure, is that PJ has shown he CAN get it done. Check out the PSU game again. THAT PJ shows up consistently the rast of last year (and if the wr's catch the **** ball), we have a couple more wins. It's a broken record but PJ's problem is his consistency. He should be named the starter but give playing time to MG and, possibly, GG in the first two games and keep PJ on a short leash the rest of the year. You nailed it Triple.  Consistency is the difference between being a quality QB or not.  Given enough opportunities PJ is going to show you flashes of brilliance, but at the end of the day he is a below average QB because he cannot consistently make the plays.  I'll use a golf analogy.  Every once in awhile you can hit a tee shot 300 yards straight down the fairway.  So do you belong on the PGA tour?  Of course not, but if you could do that CONSISTENTLY...
  10. If true it might explain why Leavitt is talking up Grothe and Plancher in practice.
  11. Yes it was and that pretty much shot our attendance in the a$$. ÂÂ
  12. "List" being a marketing slant. At one point in history there were no tix available (due to season ticket holders),  but I think that is no longer the case. There may have been, at one time, a lack of season tickets (e.g. four together, eight together, etc.). The Bucs website still claims a waiting list of 100,000 http://www.buccaneers.com/tickets/waitinglist.aspx?type=club
  13. Agreed.  I put my name on this list this year for club seats.  I currently have 2 club seats, but get them through someone else’s account.  I figured I had better get on the list since the arrangement I have now may not last forever.  I was called by the Buccaneers two months after putting my name on the list and was offered east club seats.  Was told they do not usually offer west club seats to “new “ accounts as they allow existing east club seat holders to move over to the west side when a spot opens up.  Buccaneers season ticket waiting list over 100,000 my a$$.
  14. I'm shocked at this information knowing how hard PJ worked this offseason. :
  15. Just curious how you got invited to that...
  16. CJL is sending us subliminal messages about who the starting QB will be this fall...
