  1. Last piece about this in the paper said it was being considered for 8:00 for ESPNU I believe.
  2. Been fighting ants in lot 6 also - we've been putting a tarp down on the ground before the chairs go down. Also, bring canopy or umbrellas as the few spots under trees are taken quickly and the sun is brutal if you don't have some shade.
  3. I was looking at vegas insider where books that opened at 10 or 10.5 are down 2 points. http://www.vegasinsider.com/cgi-bin/v/odds/15minute/line_db.cgi?g=NCAAF-CENTFL-SFLA-9-17#C
  4. Line has moved a solid 2 points. Someone is putting some serious coin on UCF.
  5. I know it won't be an issue because you have to win, but there is some talk on their board about tearing down the goalposts. I guess they haven't dealt with NFL security before.
  6. Both these coaches are being so PC in praising the other team. These conferences don't mean anything anymore.
  7. Don't get too excited - Steve and Barry's sells EVERYBODY. I saw UC-Davis shirts at a S&B in Ohio. It's really a great store though. Once in a while they will have an unadvertised 2-3 days where the max price in the store is $5.95 or $6.95 and includes golf pullovers, bomber type jackets, heavy duty hooded sweatshirts, etc.
  8. I know this doesn't answer your question, but I just saw that we play UCF in volleyball Friday night at the Corral - interesting scheduling.
  9. USF announces attendance as paid tickets (where used or not) plus free tickets (students, junior bulls, recruits) actually used. When there is a discrepancy with actual attendance, the gap is paid tickets that did not show up. I imagine most of this are corporate season tickets that go unused.
  10. The FAMU band was in section 131 and they were squeezed in real tight. There were no regular folk in that section - only the band. Reading through some of the UCF posts, I don't think I've seen anyone that says they have tickets in 131.
  11. Half of lot 6 and all of lot 8 are open for general parking.  Enter off Himes Ave.  These lots will open at 2pm.  Lot #14 is the "old mall" lot people are refering to. <SOUTH - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NORTH>
  12. JN, can you provide the link to these pics?
  13. From messing with the ticketmaster site, I would estimate there are still about 6,000 tickets available in the lower bowl - about 1/2 of the south endzone and 2nd level corners are still open. So if the USF student sections fill up like they did for FAMU, we are at about 35,000 right now. No way we sell more than 3-4,000 tickets this week and at walk-up.
  14. About 2 1/2 miles south of RayJay. I think I'll drive up Saturday morning instead of Friday night.
  15. I would guess 38,000 - a little bit more than the Army game. I think the casual fan walk-up will be killed with UF-TN on tv and Paul McCartney in town.
  16. Aside from CJL speak on UCF, see the notes at the bottom - UL game may be moved to 6:45 for ESPNU and the various individual rankings. http://bulls.tbo.com/bulls/MGB0K0O1IDE.html
  17. Part of Lot 6 and all of Lot 8 are open to the public and draw many families for tailgating. These lots will be open at 2pm on Saturday. Enter off Himes Avenue. http://www.buccaneers.com/rjs/parking.aspx
  18. He did agree with Lighthall that this game "has rivalry written all over it" and he thinks it will come down to the last play.
  19. According to Sagarin, UCF will be favored by 7 - not sure how that happened.
  20. Reading the UCF board, they truly believe they are going to bring 20,000 people. They keep saying they will have more fans in attendance than the Bulls. Last year, they averaged 19,000 for their home games (which includes a big spike for WVU). Do they really think they will have more people in Tampa then go to their home games? I just don't get the logic in all this.
  21. I was on the home side and the view was the same - all seats were full in the lower bowl. The upper deck had people in about 5 sections wide, about half way back - I would guess around 2,500.
  22. There were FAMU extended (3 generations) families all around me and they gave HOT applause that were more than just polite. Many of them commented about how nice RayJay is compared to their annual trek to the Citrus Bowl.
  23. Joe, is that true? Then who where all those people in the 2nd level corners that are reserved for students? When I saw that was full, I figured there were about 6-7,000 students there.
