  1. Does that mean with the 12 game schedule, you must have 7 wins to be eligible. If that is the case, I don't think there will be enough teams to fill all the slots next year.
  2. For you statisticians.... Last year there were 56 bowl slots and 117 1A teams. How many bowl eligible teams were there? What teams were bowl eligible that did not get an invite? How about the same questions for 2003?
  3. Great, but is there a plan to get the donors in E1 and P1 to actually show up this year?
  4. I don't think UF has one. I thought they installed 2 corner boards (with video, etc.) about 5 years ago. Have they recently hung one in the middle?
  5. As usual when we don't play, we move up a bit in the Sagarin ratings. The Louisville, Pitt and Penn State wins help this. Bulls are #39 overall and #3 in the BE.
  6. for the St. Leo game or is the goal to have them installed by the first BE game? Just curious - I'd rather be tailgating.
  7. Yeah, what are you talking about - next year? No way the BE let's us play an 11 game schedule. Ain't gonna happen.
  8. Why is this game on Catch 47? Are showing BE games part of this new deal with Brighthouse?
  9. They're actually selling advance tickets in level 3 for a lower price than the seats below. Sounds a bit optomistic, but I hope it doesn't backfire. My less-than-wealthy friends will buy $10 level 3 seats and "slide down" into the $15 or $20 seats where there are no ushers. Hopefully, the first and second levels will be full enough that you can't do that.
  10. Wilma is moving so slow it may not reach Tampa until December 3rd.
  11. Wilma has really slowed down. Saturday afternoon it will still be just off the coast of the Yucitan. Bummer.
  12. We will have played 1 game in 34 days prior to going into Rutgers. That really scares me in terms of being rusty and not getting playing time. Snaps and plays in practice only go so far.
  13. TV or no TV, BE champ or no BE champ, Bowl eligible or no Bowl eligible.... If the game starts before 6 pm - we draw less than 20K. If the game starts after 6pm - we draw 20K to 30K if we are very lucky. We need this to be a night game to get ANY kind of crowd.
  14. If this is Dec. 3, ESPN better not throw money at the BE and move the game to 11am or noon because of the championship games and basketball that night on TV. This game has to be played at night so we can get a decent crowd.
  15. The TSA is against this policy.  The NFL has mandated these pat downs and the Glazer's contract states that the TSA is responsible for all security manpower and security costs.  I believe in other cities the team is paying the extra cost.  The Glazers are being totally unreasonable in this case as they should be paying for this unexpected cost.  No one could have seen this coming when they were negotiating with the TSA. They are grossing well over $6 million per game and they can't come up with $10,000 to cover something that came out of left field.
  16. Okay, here's the photo. Look up at the banners on the dome ring - USF is between Seton Hall and Syracuse.
  17. My camera sucks, but I did take a picture that is fairly dark. I'll see if I can lighten it up a bit. Tell me how to post it.
  18. Went to Notre Dame this weekend for the football game. Saturday morning I went to their open basketball practice and when I looked up at the various banners hanging from the Joyce Center roof, there it was.... A brand spanking new "South Florida" in green and gold! It was awsome to see it hanging there.
  19. Was at Champs International Mall last night. They have a batch of new Champs "knock off" shirts in with new designs. About 6 different styles for USF - also have heavy duty hooded sweatshirts with just USF on the front in both green and gray. Then went to Sports Fanatic at Westshore. Huge selection of USF t-shrits, golf shirts, license plates, glasses, trailer hitch stuff, etc. I was surprised at the extensive variety.
  20. But stay away from the security guards that will have the projector and screen surrounded.
