I am sorry but the start time sucks. This is going to be USF's lowest attended games IMO. Why did USF agree to the early kickoff?? Why not kick the game off at noon instead. What does ESPN have scheduled??

I have to be honest. Did anyone notice any type of marketing done for this ECU game???? I have to tell you that I would have never known their was a game if I was not such a die hard USF fan. What happened to the marketing deal that USF had with the BUCS??? They had a long time to market this game. Well, I just hope they market these final two games or USF will be lucky to draw well. And please, dont tell me that we are waiting for next season because of the BIG EAST. It is time to get people at the games now because the team will need our help against PITT and Memphis.

Good win because it sets up a match up with DUKE. Playing Duke will give the team some good experience against top notch competition.

Hill is going to get even more fired up when he sees USF win out this season and finish 8-4 before heading to the BIG EAST on a high note.

Anyone watching that game could see that Royal was mad about the officials call. Leavitt jumped on Royal's case because of the penalty. Royal was just frustrated and not trying to disrespect his coach. This reminded me of what Frank Beamer of VaTech did to one of his WRs on national TV. Only the VaTech was more embarrassing than Leavitt and Royal yelling. Frank Beamer basically ***** slapped that poor Va Tech WR on national TV while they were getting their butts kicked against West Virginia last season. Anyway, the team had to separate the two because that player was about to deck Beamer after he was getting ***** slapped in the face.

UL and Memphis games last season were not televised nationally by ESPN. I believe it was ESPN+. USF had only about 3 national TV games last season which were CINCY, TCU, and BAMA. Also, the BOWLING GREEN game was not nationally televised either. Let me go off and name all the USF football games in our short history if I can remember. 1st ever national TV game was USF@Oklahoma on TBS. 2002 2ND was USF@BAMA on ESPN/ 2003 3rd was TCU@USF on ESPN/2003 4th was Cincy@USF on ESPN/ Halloween homecoming game. 2003 5th was USF@UL 2004 6th was USF@UAB 2004 Those are the only national TV games that I can remember.

LoL, you can tell Brett was up pretty late trying to get these articles done because of all the typos. Peyton replaced Joe Pain in the starting line up?? LOL Maybe Bain should change his last name to that because it would sound cool.

All USF needs to do is win these next three winnable games and we are pretty much bowl bound IMO. Winning these next three C-USA games would put us ahead of Memphis and possibly tied with UAB if they lose to USM. I dont want to get ahead of myself, but I think we will come out strong against ECU because I know the team is still sick from losing at home to ARMY. The Cincy game will be one hell of a tough game though because their new coach is starting to turn them around. If we beat Cincy, then the Memphis home game should bring a good crowd if marketed right.

I agree with Terry on this one. I did not think Royal was disrespecting Leavitt as many believe.. I believe Leavitt just got in Royal's face for making another penalty and Royal was trying to plead his case. I was hardly compared to what Keyshawn did to Gruden or what Jeff George did to his coach. Royal was benched for a few plays to cool off and I think Royal did not want to come out because he was too pissed at the call. Lets face it, Royal when out there and played hard for USF and his coach. That is the best respect that Royal can give to Leavitt IMO. Keyshaun would have just layed down.

No offense to Huey, but I believe Peyton will be at least two times better when all is said and done. This kid is our blue chipper that may have woke up against UAB. Watching the MEMPHIS game against UL, I expect Peyton and Chambers to have big games when Memphis comes to town.

The bottom line is that the secondary played alot better in that second half. Dont forget about that nice defletion that Simpson had which saved a sure TD pass. Also, Gipson started to make plays. You guys, Verpaele can only cover so much out there. It is the other DBs that need to continue to improve to make Verpaele look better.

Well, I expect there will be alot more than 7 TV games when USF joins the BIG EAST next season. I cant wait for BIG EAST hoops!!!

The difference was defense. USF played alot better on defense this time. The offense has always been shaky, but our defense kept us alive last season. I honestly think we are getting better these last few weeks. I believed USF showed great character in that UL game in the second half because they battled even when the game was over. Look at UAB, they pretty much gave up when they were down big by giving Hall that last TD. I dont think USF would have ever allowed that if they were getting beat. I credit the coaching staff for instilling to our team to never give up even when we are getting blow out. It shows alot in the long run which I believe USF will start putting together more WINS.

Yeah, we are going to need another big crowd for the ECU game. ECU is going to be looking for some revenge from the last two losses from USF, so I hope we show the BULLS some great support. Win that game, then the Cincy game is really huge!!! BEAT ECU!!!! BEAT THEM BAD!!!!

No, actually we beat Cincy last year on national TV/ESPN. However, that game was on a Friday night and it was Halloween. Also, I believe there may have been another game on ESPN2. I think it was a BIG 10 game with Minnesota playing on the same time as we were that night. So, this was really our first time that we won a game when there is not much competition except the lame NBA games. This win will no doubt help recruiting in a major way. In a way, you knew the whole coaching staff was so glad to get this win. As a matter of fact, Carl Franks was quoted this week as saying this is a big game to do well on national TV.

I have to bring this up because the poor young kid was taking alot of heat from alot of you on this board. I believe alot of the young players are starting to come around which is always a good thing. The defense woke up big time in that second half. They never gave in to UAB when it was near the goal line. I think those turnovers really brought confidence back to our defense. I cant say how big that interseption by Gipson was to give us the 11 point lead. From there on, our defense just dominated one of the top offenses in the nation. I am proud of this young team, and I give alot of credit to the coaching staff for getting them ready. GO BULLS!!!

Playing his senior season in the BIG EAST will help Hall with alot of exposure. You can bet that the BIG EAST will pimp Hall if he continues to play like this. Also, you can bet that the NFL scouts will be looking at Hall as well.

I cant tell you how big this win was on national TV. The annoucers did a great job on selling USF to the potential recruits IMO. They really did their research about the USF football program in citing the history and new facilities. This has to be one of the best broadcasts for a USF football game IMO. Look at it this way, if you are a recruit you would have been impressed about the direction of the USF program. Winning that game was just icing on the cake because just about everyone expected USF to lose. Anyway, I know Bien can agree that this game will do wonders for our recruiting because it was the only football game on national TV. There was no competition from other games are High School games. This win has to be one of the biggest for our young program that will help us grow. The only negative was the penalities and that Royal incident with Coach Leavitt. Anyway, USF will get a much needed rest before they take on ECU which I believe will be televised across the whole state on the SUNSHINE NETWORK. USF needs to come out and dominate ECU to impress.
