Dont forget that Mike Hobbie played a big part in USF's 9-2 season just a few years ago. I dont put much blame on Mike Hobbie because he is calling plays that are just not being executed. I honestly believe that USF would be ranked right now if we had a QB like Blackwell. Whoever developed Blackwell while at USF needs to be hired back ASAP. I agree with Bien in that Rod Smith needs to take some of the blame for not improving Banks or Julmiste. It just goes to show you that our development at QB sucks. I dont think Hobbie has that much to do with that. Give Mike Hobbie the tools and you will see USF scoring alot on offense.

I dont know about you, but I am feeling alot better about the USF basketball program under Coach McCullum. He is getting some good recruits for the record we had last season. I have a feeling that USF will be much improved and display team basketball this season. I really believe the USF basketball program will take off pretty soon with Coach McCullum. We are not that far away IMO because we did compete near the end of the season. I just have a hunch that we will suprise alot of people this season in basketball. I doubt we will finish in last place this season. GO BASKETBULLS!!!! CRM is the savior!!!!

It really can effect USF if Spurrier is hired back at UF. Dont forget that USF has a big recruiting asset in Carl Franks right now. You can bet that Spurrier will be hiring him with better pay at UF if he gets the job. As you know, those two are good friends and they use to coach together. Some say that once Carl Franks left Spurrier to get the DUKE HC job, the recruiting at UF was never as good. I truley believe that Franks has been a big asset for USF those far in bringing in some talented RBs.

Now that USF will be going on a big winning streak, I expect the recruiting to pick up even better. GO BULLS!!1 7-4 OR BUST!!

I think USF can finish 6-5 if they play better. It is obvious that we are getting better in the secondary. We just need to dump that punk trash talking stuff and play hard. That is all there is to it. Leavitt will see it that we do get better soon.

As a USF fan, I am embarrassed by that act. I was not as embarrassed at the final score as I was to hear about that incident. All this goes to show you is that USF acts immature and really looks bad on our whole university. The last school that USF wants to show up is UL because they were one of the programs that helped us get into the BIG EAST. I know there is really not much hate agaisnt UL coming from the USF staff, but I just think the players were trying to hype themselves up. I personally think that it was a stupid act that would only make UL play harder. Anyway, I am embarrassed by that act and hope UL fans dont think all of USF is like that.

Kraky looked ok to me in the spring game. He had alot of mobility and did ok. I dont get how USF does not even have a third option. You can deny all you want, but USF dropped the ball by not having a third string QB that is prepared to take over. What would USF do if Julmiste and Banks get hurt??? Is Louis Gachette ready to step in?? I dont think so because the coaching staff would have tried him by now. I am very concerned about our development at QB right now.

#19 Gibson is not acting cool at all. Just to let some of you know, Gibson lost his brother to a heroic tragedy. His brother drowned because he saved another family. You would think Gibson would put life in perspective and not act like a punk when he is playing on the field. Bottom line is that it is not only Gibson doing all this punk stuff. Jumping on someone elses logo to get them fired up is just plain stupid and punk like. If Leavitt does not correct this by next season, we are in big trouble. Guru, you are right again.

umm UCF is going to lose their 11 th straight game today!!! LOL. Gnats need to be swatted away.

What really gets me mad is that UL has three QBs that USF would kill for right now. ****, someone really struck out on the QB recruiting at USF. I know that USF is getting lot of talent coming in next season, but it is really sad that we have to rely on Julmiste and Banks this season. WTF??

USF sure could of used Evan Kraky this season. Why did we let him leave USF?? Kraky would have had a chance to show us something if he would have stuck around for one more season. Very bad timing for USF to let him leave like that. Is our coaching that smart or was Kraky that bad in practice??? Right now, I dont think anyone could be as bad as Julmiste. It is obvious that Julmiste lost all his confidence throwing the ball.

USF will be ok when we insert Grother, Carlton Hill, and Courtney Denson into the QB picture. Right now, USF has no options at QB. I really wished Evan Kraky was still at USF because we could use him. Why the heck did we let that kid leave if we knew our QB situation is not too good right now?? A better question is, why did Kraky leave USF?? That is what is lost in this picture.

Bain dropped alot of catchable passes. If you remember last week, it was Peyton who dropped that sure TD pass against ARMY. I really think that there is no confidence on offense for Julmiste or Banks. I hope Leavitt thinks about playing another QB because I dont think our offense believes in our current QBs right now which is why there are alot of dropped passes. I just think they are surprised to get a hand on Julmiste passes now.

Get a clue. UL showed alot of class by not throwing it in the end zone on 4th down. They could have scored more by kicking a cheap FG, but they wanted to give their back up RB a chance at a TD. That had nothing to do with trying to run up the score because UL could have done that if they wanted too. I am sorry if I am coming down on you, but I am tired of USF fans pointin the fingure at the team that kicks our tail all the time. It is time for us USF fans, players, and coaches to suck it up and getter better from this. No more being cocky and acting like we are some good team in college football. The truth is that we have a ways to go. Lets just be good sports and stick with our team through bad times. We will get there soon enough.

Thanks for the kind words. UL is just alot better than USF right now. That is all there is to it. Alot of those drops were a result of bad passes. Our QB had too much zip on that ball and it showed because he overthrew alot of passes. We just need a QB and we will be alot better IMO. I cant blame a Sophmore QB that was really a wish bone option QB out of high school. USF will be better next season because of the talent coming in at QB. Anyway, UL won and showed great class. Congrats and please win C-USA for the new BIG EAST. GO UL!!!!

I know that there were two TDs left on the board from the USF offense. The 2nd and goal interception by Julmiste and the dropped TD pass to Peyton. That was 14 points that were there for the taking, but the offense did not take advantage. Also, that fumble by Chambers really killed our chances to keep up with ARMY. Who knows if the offense scores on that drive to tie the game up. The defense was pretty tired at that point, so I knew ARMY would go up by 14 points.

Coach McCullum is doing a heck of a job recruiting. I just cant wait until he gets USF winning on the courts. I think he is going to do that, and I wont be surprised if we make the postseason very soon with McCullum at USF.

We are missing JR Reed really bad. JR REED pretty much beat Memphis by himself last season. The defense has been really bad at times this season. Usually, USF has a good defense that does not give up the big plays. This season, USF has given up the big pass too many times. We are just young on defense right now. Put it this way, one or ARMY's TDs was a gift from the USF secondary because there was noone to over that ARMY WR. That was just a product of not being focused and being too young.

All I have to say is that USF hoops has alot more hoop now because of the BIG EAST invite. The recruiting has picked up a notch lately.

The way TCU is playing, they will be lucky to win 6 games right now. I believe they still have to play against UL and USM, so that does not look good for TCU. As for ARMY, they are going bowling if they get bowl eligible. There is no question about that. Army still has some tough games against AIR FORCE and NAVY. I think ARMY plays UAB too. Right now ARMY is 2-4, so that have to keep winning. They should beat ECU, but you never know what can happen. If somone stops ARMY's running attack then they will be in trouble. Anyway, all this is a crazy talk right now because USF needs to start winning their own games. 6-5 or 7-4 is still reachable if we some how turn it around soon.

Army beat USF in the second half with the toss play to their star RB. Take away the toss plays and then the USF defense stops the run. If I was the USF coaching staff, I would make sure that they get the players to learn how to defend the toss run play. Army just used great blocking and the USF players were not patient because they overpursed the RB. That is all there is too it. If you look at the first half, that ARMY RB could not run well when they did not use the toss play. Also, I hate to make excuses, but I did see a bad weakness in our defense in the middle after LRS Jr went out of the game due to an injury. I really believe losing LRS Jr really hurt USF that night. The secondary (outside Camon) has been really bad this season. And I am not just blaming our freshman Verpaele. I am putting the blame on our DBs that continue to get beat each week. Hopefully, Mike Jenkins gets back in the game against UL because we need him to have a coming out party if we want to have a chance.

I think PJ has the ability to become a good QB, he is just too young. Dont forget that Julmiste was a wishbone QB coming out of HS. This is basically his second year playing QB in a pass oriented offense. So, sure there are going to be alot of bad passes and mistakes from the kid. He will eventually overcome that I hope because I really think Pat Julmiste has the arm and scrambling ability that USF needs. One thing that I did notice from Julimiste is that the knee is still not 100%. I noticed Julmiste staggering out there at times just after he threw the pass. Maybe the knee is messing up his throwing motion at times. Just a thought.

bullz87, There are five bowl spots available in C-USA. If USF can go 5-3 in C-USA and finish with a 7-4 record, we should be in the running. Lets just say that UL, UAB, USM, and Memphis are pretty much going to a bowl game this season. That leaves one bowl spot left which may fought out by TCU, ARMY, Cincy, and USF. USF needs to go 7-4 to help our case. I know it is a long shot right now because of our play, but I think USF needs to steal a win against UAB or UL. One of those schools may look past USF like the days of old. We still can do it if we start to come together and correct the mistakes.
