We need Fisher because we need a good punt returner that could bring it to the house. Right now, I believe USF does not have any player that can return a punt for a touchdown or return a kick off all the way. In past years, USF was spoiled with Rubin and JR Reed. I want Fisher back because he would be a great X factor. And the beauty of it is that many teams would focuse on Hall next season which will open up more opportunities for Fisher. Lets not forget that Fisher had a hell of a game against Bama and Pitt. He has proven that he can play against good competition.

Geez!! I still dont have one example to a team that never talks smack. Lets just list the teams that USF played this season to find out if there was no smack from our opponents. Cincy??? Yes, they even when so far as to through a jab at one of our players which cost them 15 yards. ECU??? One of their WRs got up and did the first down sign with his arm a la Keyshaun Johnson. UAB??? There whole **** side line talked smack about USF needing to hit the weights. Army??? They smacked around S Gramatica during warm ups. UL?? Did you ever watch JR RUSSEL?? USM?? There players and cheerleaders talk smack with the best of them. TCU??? I notice alot of smack from theirside. You get the point. There really is no team out there that really does not use smack talk. It is part of the game. Sure, USF could tone it down, but the reality of it is that USF has toned it down. Look at how many less penalties we had against UC.

If USF wins and goes 6-5, I really think the Tangerine Bowl will take USF. What date is the Tangerine/Champ Sports Bowl on??

Odds are very slim, but you just never know. Pitt and Memphis will be tough, but at least we are at home.

Leavitt will never let this program pack in it which is why USF is very lucky to have him as a coach. The thing that I love about Leavitt is that he keeps coaching hard even when we are getting blown out. He still shows his energy and passion for coaching the game. USF will win this game.

Well with TCU winning, it looks like USF wont be going to any C-USA bowl games. Now, USF must win their final two home games and home that they get an at large bid from the Tangerine Bowl. It looks like the BIG 12 wont be able to get enough bowl eligible teams, so the Tangerine bowl will be looking for some at large teams. I believe these final two home games are very winnable. Lets not forget that USF lost to a very hot Cincy team on the road. I think the coaching staff will have us battling to finish 6-5. GO BULLS!!!

I am sorry to disagree with you, but Fisher is a play maker. He was one of the big reasons that USF beat Pitt a few years ago along with Marquell and Rubin. For USF to not want Fisher back now is just turning their back on the kid. Injuries happen, so it is important to bring as much fire power as possible. I would not mind seeing Fisher and Hall in the back field. Fisher is a play maker just like Hall. Also, I would love to have Fisher returning punt returns. USF is hurting on special teams in the area of punt and kick off returns because we lost JR REED and Fisher.

Opps. I didnt mean to say the NCAAs. I meant to say not getting into the C-USA tourny would be a big embarrassment IMO because we would have missed two years in a row. USF needs to qualify for that C-USA tourny this season.

If Brian Fisher is declared eligible to play next season bt the NCAA then USF needs to bring him back in ASAP. I am sorry but Fisher in our offense would be dynamite right now. The kid made some bad choices, but we should not turn our back on him now. He is a USF BULL!! Come back FISHER!!

UCF would never get close to bringing 15k. They cant even get 10k for their own home games, so I doubt UCF would bring many fans. There is noway that UCF will bring more fans than what UL did last season. And, a rivalry has nothing to do about attendence. USF is a rival to UAB in basketball, but the attendence is never good. The point I made from the start is that Cincy will be a rival because we will be in the same conference. In other words, these two teams could be facing off for a BCS bid in the next year or so. Miami had a rivalry with Pitt, BC, and Syracuse, yet they are far away from each other. Distance does not matter in some rivalries. Just ask So Cal and Notre Dame. In time, both UC and USF should grow their fan base to make sure there are alot of fans there. So earth to KL on this one. And Guru, this USF fan does not care for what UF does. Sheriff may want a rivalry with them, but I sure dont because we are in different conferences.

Yes, our defense is terrible in the secondary. The last two years, USF gives up that deep pass with our DBs getting burned just about everytime. The TCU game and UAB games last season were examples of how weak our secondary is. This season, USC, TCU, USM, ARMY, CINCY, and UL had a field day in taking apart our secondary.

Dont forget that Fisher played some QB too. I am more upset that Gachuette has not sniffed the field. Are we going to redshirt him??? Anyway, Julmiste seldom threw the ball in HS. I think they said that he had a total of about 50 pass attempts in HS. That is not enough pass attempts to become a good QB. Grothe could be the best QB in USF history in just few short years.

Where is the love for WR Jackie Chambers?? He made Julmiste look real good on that TD catch in the endzone. I dont know about you but I love USF's WRs in SJ Green, Peyton, and Chambers. Those are going to be some fun WRs to watch. Also, cant forget about JB Garris. USF is loaded right now with good WRs. We just need a QB that has some touch and acuracy. Julmiste throws the ball too **** hard at times.

beastiebull, You have to remember that Banks and Julmiste are looking good against USF's secondary in practice. I hate to say it, but USF needs to improve the secondary ASAP. There were too many games lost because of our bad play in the secondary. And dont put all the blame on Verpaele. That kid is getting much better. I still think we are very beatable by the pass unlike our teams of old. BRING BACK JR REED AND ANT HENRY!!!!

Rebe, You are never going to stop the smack talk. Show me a team that does not smack talk in football??? I was watching the Harvard vs Yale game and there was plenty of smack talk between the players. Also, tell me a time that USF ever got into a brawl with another team?? Never has happened with Leavitt at coach. You can say that Lou Holtz and Tommy Bowden are very poor at discipline now that they got into that brawl. And to think that Holtz is a coach that stresses discipline. Look, if you want a program that does not show any emotion then that is your call. I am happy with Leavitt and realise that USF would not being playing in 1A without his help.

USF has always done that since day one. I didnt see as much smack talk as we did in the previous games. Football is a violent sport, so you are going to see some players yacking it up at times. Watch any other game and you will see players doing the same thing. It is a mental part of the game. Some players are quiet while other players need that edge to get them on top of their game. As long as there are no penalties, then I dont mind that at all. This is college football. In the end, the players shook each others hands to show their sportsmanship. That is what it is all about.

BasketBull, Now I know why you were so upset about this message board about a month ago. USF football has created this monster. I guess it is a good thing that there are USF fans that care and criticize the program. However, some of you are being too harsh on the staff. You cant win with the players we have right now. We are too young and need a QB that will win like Marquell. Face it, the USF defense last season won us alot of those games. Also, I believe our schedule this season was the toughest by far. C-USA is pretty up this season, so USF was in a bad spot to have a rebuilding season. Many experts expected USF to win about 3 to 4 games this season. Well, so far they are right. USF will be ok as long as the fans dont turn their back on this program. Learn to be thankful for having a football program that is going to the BIG EAST. In a way, I believe USF fans are now too spoiled and want to win the national championship right now. It takes some time, folks. USF got beat by a good Cincy team on the road. There is no shame in that.

beastie, Did you notice Leroy Selmon Jr giving Cincy's QB a pat on the back after he was knocking him around??? I dont know what game some of you were watching, but this was not one of those games that USF got penalized a lot. I am still questioning the two bad pass interference calls against Jenkins. Anyway, I am getting sick of some of you fans questioning Leavitt's ability to run a program. I have to wonder what type of turncoat you are sometimes.

Do you want to know what is funny??? It was the fact that many on this message board wanted to get rid of Jose Fernandez a few years ago. Well, it just goes to show that it takes some time to get things rolling. The same thing can be said about Robert McCullum. You are going to have to be patient with our new basketball coach. McCullum is starting to bring our program up from the ashes. You just wait.

Hey Basketbull, If the women can turn it around in hoops then there is no reason why the mens program cant turn things around. Right now, I am not happy with the defense, but I am liking the offense alot better with our new players. I just think that we will see our team play better defense later on in the season. I think our new coach is an improvement over our last coach. Sorry, Seth fans. And on the bright side. If things dont work out with Coach McCullum, then you can bet that USF will find a name coach to replace him. Either way, I believe our new AD wont settle for being a bad basketball program. Doug Woolard seems like he is more into the basketball side of things IMO.

Some of you so called USF fans are being too harsh right now. Face it, USF is a very young team that got beat by a very experience team in Cincy. You can blame the OC all you want, but that does not change the fact that simple execution would have made the OC look like a genious. Some of you are the same **** so called fans that were praising the OC last week. News flash!!! That was against ECU's defense. Julmiste just fell apart under pressure which is why we could not score. I am sorry, but Cincy was starting to stop Hall which is why we needed to pass.

The NBA is loving this IMO. They are going to get so many more viewers to watch that PacersvsPistons game on Christmas. I for one, will be watching that game because of this incident. I really would not be surprised if it was a set up to increase ratings.
