velcro, It just has been a really bad year for USF. 2003 was good because of the invite to the BIG EAST, but 2004 has not been good to us USF fans. I just cant wait until 2005 because I know things will get better. The mens team will get crushed by Michigan and South Carolina, but I believe things will get better in 2005.

The mens teams is going to get killed by Michigan tommorow. Sadly, I believe this game will be over before the halftime. We just dont have a team right now.

USF would neve sell out their allotment for tickets. USF does not travel well at all, and their home attendence sucks. If I was on the bowl committee, I would not chose USF because of the lack of support by the fans. USF could not sell any of their ticket allotments for the UL game which was pretty embarrassing because we were still in it. I doubt USF will be able to sell more than 5k tickets to the Gator Bowl. That is embarrassing.

I am kind of glad that USF did not make a bowl game because the fan support for that would be embarrassing. Hopefully, USF keeps winning, but not get the bowl invite until the fans jump on the bandwagon. Can you imagine how bad our fan turnout would be if USF made the GatorBowl next season?? The BIG EAST would surely lose that bowl because USF would not be able to sell enough tickets. I know I am coming down hard on USF right now, but I am sick and tired of our laid back atittude right now. No wonder there are no partys for being invited to the BIG EAST because noone gives a crap about USF. The truth hurts, but it has to be said.

I guess I am so frustrated about this low attendence because I am a die hard Cubs fan. As you know, the CUBS have great fan support even after losing. I just have that mentality that I will stick with the team through good and bad. What USF needs to do is recruit more die hard Cub fans. Or recruit students from the midwest more often because they seem to support athletics alot better. If those fans became USF fans, they would be hooked on USF for life. It is just another crazy idea that is unrealistic. But, I am just too pissed off about this attendence issue for USF football. It is a sad day for me.

Good, USF needs all the new basketball fans they can get. All we are asking you is just about 2hrs of your time. You will fall in love with college basketball if you give it a chance.

Maybe USF should just shut down athletics. I just get a sick impression that the students are just spoiled. Alot of them did not suffer with not having a football team like alot of us had to deal with. They just think that football will always be there no matter what they do. Wrong!!! Look at San Jose St. They are about to drop down to 1AA because of support problems. EAST TENNESSE ST had to drop football a few years ago because of little support. What USF gets only 12k to the game, it is very embarrassing. We might as well follow Temple's footsteps because that is what we will be soon with the piss poor interest from the community and students. Hell, lets just have the football games at the USF soccer stadium because our 12K die hards should be able to fill that stadium up. PS USF students are going to piss away the BCS membership if they dont support their school.

This course would be strickly only USF athletics. It will require students to go to the games or they just simply dont pass the course. It is as simple as that. The instructor will be up front with the class on what will be required on the first day of class. If they dont like it, they can just change their course. That is all there has to be to it. None of that Univ Experience crap. It is nothing but USF sports. Students will have to name the first ever starting QB for USF football on there tests. I know I would love to take that course.

Since our marketing is at a loss on the low attendence. Why dont we make some suggestions on what USF can do to help attendence. Here is my suggestion. I say that USF sets up a course that will give any USF student some credits if they got involved with USF sports. This class will focus on nothing but USF athletics. From football, basketball, baseball, to peep rallies. The home work will be simple such as go to the basketball games and football games. Also, there will be a field trip which will be going on the road to watch USF play basketball or Football. The intructors could be anyone like Tom Veit or some other person in marketing. I know alot of colleges have some joke classes, so having a USF school spirit class can only help get more students involved. PS Try to have a few huge classes for this course. The incentive is that it will give them some easy college credits while they are living it up at college events.

So that is why USF lost out on Ingram?? ****, I dont think USF could ever compete with that.

That is downright embarrassing. Football town?? NOT. Tampa is far from a football town when you look at those numbers. Tampa is known for a bandwagon town. Sorry, but getting around 12k to watch college football is just inexcusable. USF has a way to go.

cubanbull, You are right that it really is not worth having a tourny now because noone cares about attending it. Hopefully, USF can start winning and get some more fan support to be able to have these tourneys again. However, I would prefer that they have more named schools in the tourny to get better interest. Another thing that USF should continue to do is schedule as many schools from the state of Florida that they can. It is good to play against your own state schools early in the year. Hopefully, Miami, UF, or UCF start showing back on our schedules again. I know FSU wont schedule USF in basketball because their AD does not want to keep losing to USF in hoops.

Yeah, but I would rather wait until USF gets better. We dont want to lose at home while we are hosting our own tourny. Also, I hope that we can start winning because I am tired of seeing the SUNDOME basically empty all the time. If we want to blame the students about attendence, it should start with the poor support for the baskeball teams. USF has alot of new dorms on campus that are in walking distance. Hell, the games are free for the students, so I just dont get why there is low support. Hopefully. playing in the BIG EAST next season will bring out the students.

Need to keep this bumped up top so that fans will see it. We need all the USF fans out their to support our basketball team. It is time for basketball now, so I hope USF can put together a great season to get a good basketball buzz going on this year. Last season was just too painful to go through.

I want anyone on hear to watch that tape of the UAB game then tell me that Danny does not deserve it. Danny made some hard hits in that game. He really was not the one you should be blaming in our secondary because he cant do it all himself. He is going to be a good one in the next few years. I am more concerned about our DBs righ know because they have looked lost for during the last two seasons. Kenny Robinson may have helped, but I just dont have the faith in our DBs anymore like the old days. USF needs an ANT HENRY or Bernard Brown next season to help the struggling defense.

Isnt it painfully obvious that BULLONLY is a UCF fan?? This guest poser USF fan has been doing this for years just to stir things up. Well UCF fan, you just pointed out major flaws in your take to even consider you being a serious USF fan. Please go back to you UCF home and worry about how you are going to pay off Jabba the HUTT errr George OLeary this season.

Like I told some of you earlier this season that Verpaele is not the one to blame. The kid played his heart out with little help in the secondary. He made some big hits that will no doubt scare alot of WR from catching that ball in the next few years.

AND it further gives away that USFSTUDENT is an imposter when he states that the BIG EAST is weak. Try calling UL, PITT, or WVU weak. Try calling BIG EAST basketball weak. By the way, RUTGERS beat that so called BIG 10 power Mich St this season. RUTGERS also beat your SEC Vandy this season too. Not bad for the last place team in the NEW BIG EAST. Dont even get me started on BIG EAST BASKETBALL. USF fans are spoiled if anything. WE ARE ONE OF THE LUCKIEST SCHOOLS OUT THERE TO GET INVITED TO THE BIG EAST. I just wish students and fans would understand that and support the team because it can be stripped from USF if there is not enough support. Just ask Temple.

I am sorry to point this out, but I doubt USFSTUDENT is an actually USF student. The schedule comparison gives it away as someone like GOLDENBUC or some other UCFer. UCF always said that they would rather play Memphis and Southern Miss over Rutgers or UCONN. LOL. What they never bring up is that USF will be playing against the name teams such as WVU, UL, PITT, or Syracuse. For this so called fake USFstudent to suggest that he would rather play Memphis just tells me that it has to be a UCF or fan from another C-USA school. And to set the record staight, I hope all you other BIG EAST fans dont think that all the students at USF think that way. I know **** well that I became 100% USF BULL fan after growing up being a UF fan. Hell, my dad loves the Gators which usually gets us into some good fights. Right now, I love it when UF, FSU, and Miami lose because it only helps USF. Anyone that roots for those schools had better have some serious ties to them instead of being a lifetime fan. That is all I have to say about that. By the way, Tampa is known as GOOBERVILLE. The community without unity is TAMPA BAY.

The offense was more of the same as last year. The difference was that the defense was really bad this season unlike the year before. Look, it can be said that the USF defense won about 3 of our 7 wins last season. This season, I dont recall where the defense steped up besides the UAB or ECU game. They just got blown out. The secondary was too young and banged up. We missed JR REED in the worse way.

Guru, I agree that UTAH is a good team. I feel sorry for Pitt because they may get blown out in that game. I still think UL would give Utah a better game out of it because of their offense. It would have been a very high scoring game.

LOL. It is all sourgrapes about our so called dirt recruiting. They are still mad that USF has Johnny Peyton. They know **** well that Peyton is going to be scoring TDs like crazy once we get a QB. PITT should do the right thing and give up that BCS bid to UL. UL would at least beat Utah unlike what Pitt will do. PITT may very well embarrass the new BIG EAST on national TV by getting blow out by UTAH. I am pulling for Pitt to win that BCS game, but I just was not that impressed with their program. They played a very down USF team this season. I can promise you that UTAH wont be down which is why I think PITT will get destroyed by the UTES.

beastiebull, Yes it would be, but the question is if Denson would want to play DB. I know one of the reasons he left Auburn for USF is to play QB because Auburn wanted him to play on the defense. Who knows, maybe he will fall in love with USF and stay regardless of what position he gets to play.
