I personally dont think not having a timeout lost us that game. We lost because ARMY just played better than us. We were up by two TDs, but ARMY just came back and took momentum. To be honest, USF is lucky the game ended because ARMY would have kept scoring on our tired defense.

MM, And I guess you took my post the wrong way. I do think cheapshots are not acceptable, but I doubt ARMY made any cheapshots. I would have to watch the game on tape again to see that because I did not see anything close to being a cheapshot. Anyway, USF has alot more to worry about then cheapshots from ARMY LOL. To even think that we want to rip on ARMY is kind of classless IMO. Maybe I am wrong, but I just could not boo the ARMY team at all last night. I even gave ARMY applause on their effort that they played. They never gave up and just outcoached USF. There is no anyway to say it then to just give ARMY there much due respect.

I did not see any cheapshots which is why I am not caring much about this post. MarkyMark, cheapshots happend in alot in football. Some are minor and some are major. I did not see any major cheapshots done from ARMY. Now for USF, I have seen countless cheapshots from our program. So for any USF fan to be crying about some unproven cheapshots from ARMY is just reaching too far. ARMY kicked our tails in, so if you want to call that a cheap shot that so be it. And yes, these players are making the commitment of defending our country, so I attest that Army is that last team to commit any cheapshots. Geez. If we are going to talk about cheapshots, then lets just bring up the USM team that did commit alot of cheapshots against USF. JMO.

Hey Guru, You are right about that. Leavitt did win USF some games last year that were close. He made some good calls. What I am upset about is the fact that USF is one of the most undisciplined teams in the country year after year under Leavitt's watch. I am not mad at the offense, I am just mad at the stupid penalties that cost USF games. Now, USF's defense is pretty weak right now too. I think if our defensed played better, we would beat ARMY and many other teams. I think we have alot of things that can be easily corrected. When USF plays their A game then I believe we are a tough foe. When USF makes stupid penalties and blows coverages then we are an easy win for our opponent right now. The UL game is going to be interesting because these kids dont want to get embarrased on national TV. Hopefully they can keep it respectable against UL. And GURU, USF had alot more talent last season with Reed, Fisher, Whitaker, Maurice Jones, etc. We are just too young right now. I know our offensive line has experience, but our WRs and QBs are not there yet. That is our problem on offense. Our Defense is bad in the secondary because we are very young there as well. I cant tell you how many times they have gotten beat on the deep pass. I will tell you that Darrell Hackney of UAB will have a carreer day against USF if we dont improve.

Bullman, We owe Leavitt at another year before we screw him over. Leavitt is the coach and wants to be here for a long time. Where on Earth would you find a coach that wants to stay with USF??? Leavitt deserves better treatment right now. We just have a young team that will get better next season. As for Spurrier, I say we get Scott here at USF. This kid is a true USF fan. We know he is going to give it all he has got like a Rudy. I say we make sure we gett the young Spurrier which should help bring more name recognition for USF. I will be a win win for both parties.

hey bullman, I feel your pain. What I did was think of the future of USF. We still have our BIG EAST invite thanks to our past success. Imagine if the invite did not come for USF??? Things could be worse for us. We have a good basketball coach that preaches discipline now, so I expect us to be proud of the hoops team in the very near future. The football team may not win another game this season, but I think we have alot of help on the way when you look at recruiting. Put it this way, USF was not a very good team last season too. And that team had JR REED, Brian Fischer, MoJo, Huey Whitaker, etc. Right now, I think our recruiting class will help with our QB situation. The main thing that we need to correct is our penalties. USF will be fine.

I agree that our coaching is not doing too well right now. We dropped too many passes too which is why Dawsey needs to get on them this week. Man, I have to say that Julmiste does not need to take the blame for this game. He made some good throughs that were just flat out dropped. I will forgive Peyton because the poor kid must have freshman jitters. Hell this is college football, I love the effort that our players make even if we dont win.

Man, I am worried that the fans wont show now that we lost. The thing is that many of the fans think too lowly of ARMY. What they dont realise that ARMY has a coach with two championship rings right now. I loved the feel of the crowed atmosphere in the endzone. It is starting to feel more like a college atmosphere IMO. The only downside to that is that you will have less space and get more annoyed by the other fans because of the limited space. I personally moved from where I was sitting last night because we had some fans whistling too loud in my ear all night. I was not mad because I just moved to a better seat. It is a football game, so the place is supposed to get pretty rowdy on Saturday nights.

USF fans have been spoiled too much IMO. USF is going to have a down year, so there is no need to worry that much. Every program goes through this, so to say that USF is different is just crazy. Leavitt is allowed to have a bad season before we call for his head. Ditto for OLeary at UCF. I think both programs will be fine in the long run. Also, true college football fans will realise that ARMY is a hell of alot better now with COACH ROSS. ARMY will win more games this season. I wont be surprised at all if ARMY gives Southern Miss all they can handle this season if they even play. Just my thoughts. I think BeatNavy can attest to Army being alot better on offense right now. They just make the good blocks and hit the right gaps on their running game. Ask Cincy about that.

I really dont care about cheap shots from ARMY. They defend our country, so I can never be mad at ARMY. They deserve the win and I wish them luck down the road.

TripleB, You are right on. ARMY is much improved this season than last year. As a matte of fact, I thought this game could go either way before the game started. COACH Bobby Ross had two rings right now. He has a national championship ring from Georgia Tech, and he has an AFC champion ring from San Diego. Coach Ross has made ARMY that much better IMO. Hey, lets not forget that USF is in a rebuilding year, so I am not blaming anyone. USF will be fine in the long run. We have too much going for us not to suceed. GO BULLS!! And congrats to ARMY!!!!

Without Hall, we are pretty much done. Hall is the spark on our team. Futhermore, I am really missing Brian Fischer right now. I really believe that we have maybe two more wins with Fischer on the team. I cant wait until next season. This season is a not going to be fun, but us USF fans need to keep supporting them. This team is our family, so we need to stick with them through the bad times like we have right now. GO BULLS!!!!

Army is alot better than last season. See Cincy game against Army. Cincy got blown out. USF just needs to stop acting like we are the Shiznit because we still have a long way to go. I really feel more sorry for the fathers of USF football such as Blackwell, Rubin, JR, Kawika, ANT Henry, Chad Barnhardt, Chris Daley, Dyral McMillan, McCready, Cliff Dell, and Terry Lucas. Those players would never stand for this. I am just a USF grad and fan that hurts, but a player from the past has to be really upset about this. I welcome any of the players to reply and tell us how you really feel right now. GO BULLS!!!

I am going to give this coaching staff at least one more year. Leavitt build this program to getting a BIG EAST invite. Sure, the bowl game is out of the question now, but we owe Jim Leavitt at least one more year. Leavitt has been loyal to USF, so I expect to see USF loyal to him. We are just young and not ready now. ARMY is much better with their new coach right now. They should have beat TCU, and they killed Cincy. We just need to be happy about the BIG EAST. GO BULLS!!!!

There is no way to say this easy, but Coach Ross outcoached Coach Leavitt and company. ARMY just has better coaching right now. I know our team is yound, but there is noway that you dont hand the ball off to Hall more than we should have in the first half. USF tried to get too cute on offense which caused us to turn that ball over.That is two times during the last two games that we did not use Hall when we should have. The coaching staff needs to start taking more of the blame for now on. The players are playing their hearts out and I will continue to support them. We just need to get better coaching IMO.

You cant blame the QB. He threw the ball right on the money to our star recruit in the endzone. I think we are just too young right now, so we are not goint to win many games. I think our coaching is not doing well at all when you see us try to pass the ball during goal line situations. I think Leavitt and staff are outcoaching themselves by using stupid trick plays. I just hope the coaching staff runs the laps this week because I dont think they called a good game. This is the second straight game that they should have gave the ball to Hall when we were close to the endzone. Just my thoughts. By the way, I am looking forward to basketball already.

Coach Keifer is doing a heck of a job at recruiting for USF. Now, it looks like the soccer program is going to be challenging for national championships pretty soon. Go BULLS!!!

I think the coaching staff at USF had alot to do with Raheim Brown's failure here. He did ok with FAU albeit against weaker competition in the TAAC/A-SUN.

I guess we can put Sheriff and MarkyMark in the camp that does not believe in Coach McCullum. That is ok because I know they will be in his corner after this season. You have to admit that Coach McCullum is doing a good job right now. I watched an overmatched USF team compete with UAB only to have UAB make that lucky three pointer. Yes, that is the same UAB team that went on to beat Kentucky in the NCAAs. McCullum's track record proves that he is a winner, so I dont doubt his ability at all right now. I truley could not say the same for Seth. There was no excuse for Seth not beating UF when they were at the Dome. NO EXCUSE AT ALL. It was just bad coaching IMO. USF had the team to win.

Does anyone know if the BIG EAST will help USF, UC, or UL if they dont have enough bowl eligible teams this season?? It would make sense to have one of the new teams coming it to get the invite if they cant fill out the bids, but I guess that really is up to the bowls if there are not enough bowl eligible teams from the BIG EAST. The reason I am bringing this up is because we all know that C-USA will protect their own, so dont be surprised if you see a 6-5 UAB or Memphis team get the invite by a 7-4 or 8-3 USF, UC, or UL team.

I believe that our basketball coach is a good one. He almost beat UAB at the end of the year last season with a very down team. Imagine how good the program will do once we get more of his recruits here at USF?? I believe we will be fine as long as we dont let McCullum go.

All I took from that game is that USM is not that good. It just proves our points that USF really beat themselves against USM. USF played like crap, yet we still were in that game against them. It took a bad call to go against USF to really help USM hold on. USM is sure lucky they dont have to play UL this season. Thanks to the idiots that run C-USA.

I was dissappointed in the attendence because the day was pretty nice. No rain at all which should have helped. Also, UF, FSU, and Miami were not playing during our time. I guess people dont want to watch USM that bad because I remember we only got 28k the last time we played against USM at home in 2002.  Also, I was not impressed with USM's traveling fans. They seem to brought less fans that UC and Bowling Green IMO. I thought USM would have brought more since they were off to a great start. They only had one section. I remember the great number of UL fans that they brought down last season. I cant wait until next year because of the UL game. They had great fans IMO.

Oh, how will we get throught that biased calls in C-USA this season?? I knew it was going to be like this, so we will have to hope for the best.

For those USF fans that dont know 3rdWard Eagle, he is a Gaytor fan as well as a USM fan. I find it hillarious that he wants to compare his Gainseville town to the city of Tampa. LOL. Also 3RDWard, you should be thankful that you did not bring that weak smack to me during the game. Lets just say that you would not have enough healthty fingures to type right now. Now get lost and watch your Gaytors and USM lose in another bowl game. USF will be fine as we leave C-USA for greener pastures.
