Wow, talk about an atmosphere! And they didn't even have a band in the arena. It's just a cultural thing, we are more of a clap and shout kind of people here in the states. We like our football, and basketball, but we are not as passionate about it to that point which can be a good thing since you rarely see riots after games, and a bad thing 'cause you don't see this type of atmosphere. The atmosphere in sports' venues (and even on the streets after a great win) is one thing I miss from PR. Whenever Tito Trinidad, or our basketball team would win a fight or a big game you'll see people on the streets beeping their car horns, waiving the flag, and just going crazy(in a good way).
