  1. Because you can't control what your fan base does. That's why I doubt that fan posts would get any university in trouble. It is just too easy to get another school in trouble by pretending to be their fan. I'm not advocating for people to send 100 comments to a recruit, but I wouldn't be worried about any sanctions if people contact him.
  2. Is that all it takes to get an NCAA violation? Wow that's so easy. Hey do you have the myspace addresses for UM, FSU, and UF recruits? I'm going to beg them to go to "our" school, all I gotta do is throw in a few UM,FSU, or UF logos in my page and voila! NCAA violations for all.
  3. Why are you taking anything said at the barnyardbanter.com so serious? What happened at Bham, is what happens at every stadium during game day. The only difference is that they are crying about it because that is what they do best, whine about everything.
  4. Nobody is screaming for UCF to be our rival. Who wouldn't want FSU/UM/UF as their rivals over UCF? Is just a simple discussion on who our percieved rival is. I make the point that the average fan and tampa residents may see UCF as our rival. Does that mean we are worrying about the wrong thing or that we don't understand football, or that we love/hate for UCF to be our rival? No it doesn't mean that. It is just an argument. geez people, is not that serious.
  5. Hey that sounds like something an ECUCF fan would say! They made it, that's all that matters.
  6. ^^^^ training wheels? I like that. That is true once you make it to one away game you want more. My first one was the UM game last year, and like many now I'm looking forward to a road trip to Auburn.
  7. LOL. C'mon, you gotta know I made that crap up. I asked friends that have never read anything on this board, and they have all said we were rivals. I was at Beefs today and a Gator, who by the way was very complimentary of our team, said that the I-4 rivalry was going to be really interesting. At the end of the day I encounter a lot more people that think this is a rivalry.
  8. I would submit that it never made it into USF's front windshield. It has always been crystal clear that this game meant more to one team over the other, and while a small number of vocal USF fans have expressed a desire for this to occur, the overall USF population doesn't see UCF as a peer much less a rival. Hence, no long term contract, when it could have easily been arranged. I disagree, this whole "UCF is not our rival thing" is mostly an internet thing. Ask anyone and chances are they'll say UCF is indeed our rival. We can't keep on denying it. I disagree, this whole "UCF is our rival thing" is mostly an Internet thing. Ask anyone and chances are they'll say USF doesn't yet have a rival. I asked, and 9 out of 10 people on the street said they were indeed our rival. It doesn't mean I agree with them, that is just the perception from the fans. If we don't want people to have that idea then let's stop scheduling them after '08.

  10. He could also get hurt and lose a lot of $$$. As much as I want every Bull to stay till their Sr year I wouldn't want them to risk injury and wealth for one more season of football. Let the kid realize his dream as soon as he can, he deserves it.
  11. JP, the difference is that upperdeck is complaining about both fanbases, not just ours like some in the boneyard. We can take fair criticism. What we can't stand is the ECU whining about not making it to the BE.
  12. Hey upperdeck, I just read your post over at the boneyardbanter.com thanks for the kudos and for not attacking our fans like the rest of the board.
  13. I think we could bring 8K tops. The cost of BCS tickets will keep a lot of people away, no matter how die-hard they are. And alumni that never followed the Bulls are not going to spend $400+ in tickets.
  14. And I don't think is really funny to raid a ship, steal the gold inside and then kill it's sailors. But what can I do, that's what Pirates do!
  15. Yeah, I was two rows behind "Pirates have sars", "Pirates eat Poop", "ECU Moms arrgh Whores","ECU Plunders Male booty", and last but not least "ECU Arrgh Fags." Row 50. Please do not send me any hate mail, I'm just reporting on what I saw at the game. I'm not judging EZU moms and their offsprings.
  16. I think the one that takes the award for the Most Offensive Shirt/Sign goes to the one wearing this one: ECU Moms arrrgh Whores wow. But hey, there was a 60 year old EZU lady seating right behind the guy wearing the shirt and she didn't seem bothered by it. Also saw a lot of EZU fans laughing at all those shirts.
  17. They'll probably bring between 8K to 10K next season. The upper deck will definitely be opened for this game like last year.
  18. Posted here in the 4th page: http://www.thebullspen.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/nph-YaBB.pl?num=1166912587/30#30 And again, do not go through the trouble of registering on the barnyardbanter.com website because your post will be deleted within minutes and you will be banned.
  19. Problem is, you can't correct them because you will get banned!
  20. what willit take to get you guys to road games other than bowls and trips to Orlando? lots of money
  21. And what follows must be the most irrational, and dumb post I've ever read. enjoy. http://www.boneyardbanter.com/message_board/banter/2006/December/25/137071.php Yeah, because I rather have a mediocre team than having a whopping .5% of my fan base act up. :
  22. Exactly. Finally somebody had to say it! I'll take it even a step further, we should emulate what FIU and FAU are doing down there. It is amazing how they had the same goals as us and yet look how far they have come. They are a true testament to your statement that with all the talent in Florida, football should be easy. I mean, they are doing things that we never did during our first years. truly amazing. And I'm not even going to mention Central F., granted they have 30 years on us but we can only wish to be where they are at in the next 40. One day we will get there my friend, one day. Until then, let's applaud FIU, FAU, and UCF instead of envying them. Stay strong my Bulls, stay strong!
  23. I guess you are right. you got me. Nah, nevermind. I still hate the Evil Glazers. Just 'cause you are smart doesn't mean you can't be shady. Maybe evil is a stretch but who cares. I can't like a guy ,or a family, that opposed anything USF related around the stadium. Bring the contract up all you want but that doesn't give him the right to be a total a-hole about USF.
  24. Seriously, is there any legal way to get out of that contract? That is just ridiculous. I wish Greg would write a story that would further expose the Evil Glazers on how they just fleece USF.
