    Job rumor mills (from Emperors & Kings to Coaches and Players) have been around since the beginning of time. Yeah...nothing went on 30 years ago...no one ever talked about job "rumors". (Are all young kids this dumb in today's world?) Of course they talked about rumors 30 years ago. However, back then there was NO internet, No ESPN (and ESPN2,ESPNEWS), No 24hr News Channels, no people spreading rumors 24hrs a day. I can't turn the TV on w/o having to hear about the latest coaching candidates. That is the difference, you would hear about it once or twice a day back then.

Yeah, you know things are great when South Florida turns you down. Let me get this straight, you offered a guy twice what he is making, and you still got turned down over South Florida? That's great, you got turned down by South Florida. Let me fire Shula and get a real coach, only problem, you got turned down for South Florida. You know Alabama is not what it used to be when a coach turns you down for South Florida. Ok. How did this guy make it on the radio? He takes a subject and beats it to death.

    People, we are not going to recieve preseason votes! Like I said somewhere else, when voters rank teams like Houston ahead of us what makes you think they will make any rational thinking before voting? We are not in the voters minds yet. For some reason voters are reluctant to vote us in. They rather give votes to teams with weaker schedules, and/or name brand coaches. It will take a W at Auburn for us to be ranked at all next year.
