  1. It’s obvious to anyone that’s not an apologist. He bunts when he should swing away and he swings away when he should bunt and don’t get me started on the pitch counts.
  2. We are splitting exhibition games against the Gators and not winning the World Series against Boston? I’m sick of this mediocrity how does this clown have a job?
  3. You don’t understand why people would prefer the best coach that we have had that had the best record that we have had against the best competition that we have had that were also the most marquee of wins that we have had over what has pretty much been an abortion of a program up until the most recent years in the worst conference we have been in since our creation where people want to burn the program down if you even lose one game in it? You don’t think being the best coach in what was a pretty decent up and coming universities history make you great and building a program from scratch to number 2 in the nation makes you a great coach? What does? He isn’t Nick Saban or maybe not Dabo I’ll give you that but we aren’t Alabama (which offered him the job) or Clemson either and he is the greatest we have had and it’s not even a little bit close.
  4. What coach have we had that was even close to as good?
  5. CJL is our longest tenured coach and the only one with a winning record outside of our current coach that this thread is attempting to have fired. CJL won all of those games while constantly moving the team on a upward trajectory never before seen and never again to be replicated in college football. Even though we were always playing in a league higher than the players we recruited we always played above average football and difficulty would set in when the season would drag on and our backups weren’t at the level we amazingly had our starters at. Every great thing that’s ever happened to our team happened because of CJL and most with him at the helm. Any win of note came under him or right after with CSH still riding his momentum. Had CJL got to ride this wave to the bottom he would have ran thru this conference as he would have for the first and only time in his career not been constantly climbing up.
  6. Sure I can see the play calling is not as exciting as some would hope for and that some of it is philosophy over athleticism but I don’t think if we traded QBs today that the game wouldn’t have looked markedly different for both teams. Also I think getting in a shootout with Houston and praying to score 60 pts while the defense gets pummeled probably isn’t going to win very often especially with King as their QB, from where I was sitting this looked much more like a defensive loss even if the offense is never sexy.
  7. I did watch and what I saw is a first year B.B. =\= an established King and if you don’t think his off the cuff athleticism plays a huge role in making him look good Flowers has some xCWT coaching futures he would love to sell you.
  8. If we played any of those teams from back then now they would all be seen as our biggest games of the entire year. Hell people now have UCF circled as a program defining showdown, some with out laughing have called it the biggest game we have ever had, they seriously compared it the WVU game. What was CJL’s record against UCF again? I forget.
  9. Because CWT only bolted because he knew he had everything in place for the next guy to never lose another game for the rest of our history, he would have never left if there was any work left to do.
  10. Give me King and I will look like an offensive genius too, how many of those long QB scrambles in long yardage situations do you think were drawn up by Coach Applewhite?
  11. You left off GT that just lost to Vtech, for some reason. Also even if we were 75 to 25 dominating favorites over every team we played thus far (we aren’t) we still would have had a probability to be 6-2 to this point. Teams lose to teams they are strongly favored over every single week.
  12. I don’t feel attacked but the comparison is laughable in the worst case we aren’t looking at CCS’s first two years being better than CWT’s first two years they are going to be better than the only two good years of CWT’s entire career that people so lovingly remember and want to build statues to him over. Remember CWT’s bowl wins? Me either, he lost his only one he coached to the team he left, CCS already eclipsed that in his first year. There is no one single measurable that points to CCS being a downgrade below CWT, seriously not one. So maybe he reminds you of Fisher but I’m reminded of Parcells “you are what your record says you are”. Are there better coaches out there? Absolutely. Do I trust us to find them? Absolutely not. Do I think if we accidentally found them we could afford them? Certainly not. Do I think if we miracled our way to finding them and paying for them that they would stay for more than two years? There is no chance.
  13. I don’t care how CWT came to turn it around I care that the turnaround seems to be an unsustainable fluke based on a gimmicky offense that has shown zero ability to be sustainably successful.
  14. So he won the games he was supposed to win....
  15. Taggart took a bad CSH team and made it worse, not just worse but to the lowest depths our program has ever gone. Tags then recruited better than the rest of the conference and still could not win and eventually was forced into a gimmick offense for a season and a half that showed the only small sliver of success that he has faced in his life and has yet to come close to capturing that lighting in a bottle in the two seasons since he has left as there is tape on his offense and he faces better athletes. Then for all that full pantry he left we sure do seem to be starting a lot of underclassmen and a first year transfer at QB. xCwT is not a great coach and he has spent a lifetime proving that (despite marginal success for a year and a half, the kind of success , with the same competition we now want to fire CCS over) CCS may not be the best coach ever but he is the second best we have had and odds are in favor that his replacement would be far worse.
  16. .625=/=.432=/=.490=/=.850 In order to be as good of a coach at USF as his predecessor CCS needs to lose his next 15 games in a row. You would think we would have learned something after we chased off our only other successful coach in team history with cries of plateauing, to then be able to turn around and hire a never has been that couldn’t beat the coach he replaced.
  17. That was like Fuccillo Kia, huge. I’m sure if none of CCS 17 wins were as big as that one, that should we win one as big as a Temple victory the CCS naysayers will be just fine.
  18. How many shouldn’t have won big wins did our last coach have in four years?
  19. Nothing is better for an organization or a football team that incontentinuity at the top, pair that with him being only the second coach in program history with a winning record and it’s tough to understand why everyone isn’t trying to run the guy out of town. Remember all those years before CCS when we would go undefeated? Ya me neither.
  20. When you consider how bad we did so many important things it’s kind of amazing this didn’t get out of hand way earlier
