  1. Wow....Brad Greenberg has an eye for talent that has already developed and proved itself. The NBA is much different than college.  In college you actually have to evaluate a kid, recruit them and develop them.  In the NBA you just see who dominates and give them money.
  2. My expectations this year is a 10 win season. 7-5 OCC 3-13 Conf 12 wins is not unrealistic.  15 would be significantly exceeding my expectations and I'd be ready for a year extension. 2005.....who knows what our OCC schedule will look like or the strength of the conference like but I'd expect us to be .750 OCC and win 1/4 of our conference games.  12  or 13 win season, just below .500. 2006....again, don't know the schedule or the strength of the conference but I'd expect us to be .750 OCC and win at least 1/3 of our conference games.  15 win season at .500. 2007 and beyond we should all be hoping for no less than .500 for the season and hopefully no less than .500 in conference.  .500 in conference and a .750 OCC and we'll qualify for the NCAA's most years and at least the NIT in other years.  Step the conference record to 1 or 2 games above .500 with a .750 OCC and your guaranteed to be dancing.
  3. This season we have only intercepted 1 pass (Trae Williams returned for a TD) and have thrown 6 interceptions. Last season we intercepted 13 passes and threw 12 interceptions. At our current pace we will only intercept 2.75 passes this year, and we will throw 16.5 interceptions. That's an ugly projection.
  4. Actually it does matter......if we signed a full schedule and then CUSA deemed some other team to be our CUSA trade game then we would be over booked.  The best we can do right now leave one opening in our schedule. All CUSA teams are waiting to see what happens and none of them are willing to sign a deal right now until they find out who their CSUA trade game is.  They can't fill up their schedules yet just as UL, Cincy and USF can't. And to futher complicate matters.....you can't really sign schools now to a set date because you don't know what date your CUSA trade game will be. Thus even if you leave a spot open on your schedule it does not mean that the school you are paired with is going to have the same availablilty. Everyone tries to make this such a simple issue but you are being too short sighted. Nothing's going to get done until the Commishioners from each conference and ADs all get together in one room and hash it out. There is no way that happens before the first of next year.
  5. UCF's market is Kissimmmee/St. Cloud and is owned by Osceola County High School
  6. This FT arguement is so stupid. There are guys playing in the NBA for millions per year that can't shoot FT's. They practice all day, hire personal coaches, etc and still can't improve it. For those of you that don't know, the amount of practice time a coach has with his players is limited by the NCAA. Restricted practice time reduces the amount of time a coach can dedicate to things like FT's, thus leaving the player to get basic instructions on FT's and then leaving it up to the player to practice on his own time. If a coach were to spend 5 minutes every practice with 8 different guys practicing FT's that would account for 40 minutes. Not sure of the allowed practice time time but I'm pretty sure it's not much more than 3 hours per day. If it is 3 hours per day then you would be having a coach spend 22% of his time on FT's.
  7. Army will be in excess of 35K. Well, with our loss to So Miss it may run off a few fair weathered fans.
  8. I agree with him not being on offense or returning punts/kicks. The pass interference on him was a horrible call. It's unfortunate that we are so think at DB but I think he'll be as good as anyone else we have back there, for now. As Jenkins continues to develop he'll be the man.
  9. Jimmy jumps high. Jimmy likes Elaine. Classic Seinfeld episode!
  10. $5,000 pails in comparison to the $80,000 per game the Glazers take home from our rental.
  11. It's great when a USF supporter owned business helps out. I'll be sure to by my next set of flowers from them.
  12. A friend of a friend owns Bloomtown Florist. The owner and his wife are avid USF supporters, have basketball and football season tickets, etc. I'm sure if you contact him and let them know it is for the Hixon's he'd be willing to cut you a deal. www.BloomTownFlorist.com 888-559-7177 813-254-8181 (412 S Howard Ave, Tampa) 727-559-7177 (218 West Bay Dr, Largo) Ask for Matt.
  13. A few really hot chicks in Mike's Snapfish spread.  Don't know why you had to ruin it by leaving them out and putting all of the guys pictures in this version You really need the camera girl pic as well as the two ladies walking down the stairs.
  14. Shoop - Money wouldn't be an issue if we got a concessions split, parking outside of the donors or a reduction in our ridiculous per game rent fee.
  15. Jim - That's the exact problem. We've got just under 3 years left on our lease. We are out of luck and they know it. What's already a horrible lease is only going to get worse.
  16. Glazers are a$$e$ and nothing will ever pass by them. Wait until you see how bad we are going to get raped on our next lease. People associated with USF are going to start developing some serious hatered for those greedy ba$tard$.
  17. I can't believe the Times would reference that crap. What kind of legit paper references some random poster on a message board? That rag continues to get worse by the day.
  18. Rebe - We've not hit 40,000 in RJS yet. I don't think USM is that big of a draw to the local college fan.
  19. 9-1 is essentially running the table, only Pitt would be remaining.
