  1. Please, the talk of top 25 is so far fetched. We would have to run the table in the remainder of our games to even get close.
  2. So did you ever get a follow-up from him explaining why USF beat TCU?
  3. I think he was going to be the "man" of that signing class but he's got to be on drugs if he doesn't think we are going to recruit other QBs, especially with our recent downturn at that position. What does he think is going to happen at the other "big Florida" or "big out of state" programs? Wake up kid, no school is going to stop their recruiting just for you, especially with the lack luster stats you've put up so far this year.
  4. The St Louis game ended in a 2 to 2 tie.
  5. Army will be the biggest draw of the year (weather permitting).
  6. For Rod you can just look for the guy who continues to add 25 or more pounds per year
  7. The defense decided they'd rest this week in order to get ready for So Miss.
  8. How can you coach someone from jumping offsides? How can you coach 2 bullcrap pass interference penalty calls? How can you coach a BS smack to the helmet that never occured? How can you coach an incidental face mask that is wrongly called a personal foul? There goes half of the penalties. The penalties you can correct from last nights games are the 2 illegal substitutions and the ruffing the kicker. The 2 illegal substitutions are a result of players either not paying attention or the defensive coaches not recognizing what package was on the field. The ruffing the kicker is a bad call as it is nearly impossible to block a kick up the middle. You'v got to get it from an angle and dive in front of the kicker. With that said. I could care less if we have a few roughing the passers and roughing the kicker (especially the kicker if you are in the right field position) because the result from aggressive play. However, I hate substitution penalties and I hate it when an offensive lineman can't be disciplined enough to wait for the snap or simply doesn't know how to count. But to blame it all on coaching is a joke. Coaches aren't on the field executing the plays. They can run a player all day long to punish him but that doesn't mean it will change. Similar to basketball and free throws. You can coach them every day but you can't go shoot them for the player during the game.
  9. A few easy drops and he could've been 25 of 33 with 3 of those thown out of bounds down field. Not a bad night at all. However, he still needs to work on hitting the recievers in stride. Some low balls and balls thrown behind the receivers were caught. Hit them in stide and you are looking at a bunch more yardage.
  10. I'm almost willing to bet money they switch to storm coverage after the FSU game.
  11. I think TCU is going to make a concious effort to correct their defensive woes in practice this week. We may have caught them at a bad time.
  12. B.Diddy - what kind of championship are you talking about? Conference or National? If National I'd have to agree and would go out on a limb and say USF will not win a National Championship in the next 50 years no matter who the coach is. If you think think we are going to be a national player at the level in the near future then please mail some of your weed to me.
  13. Congrats to him. Nice to see Seth is still running a family operation.
  14. I've seen Reed get work in game situations at FS. He's just got to pay his dues and learn all of the defensive schemes.
  15. What the F do you want? You want coach just to give the play book to the media for this week? Well, we are going to open with Crossley up the middle. Hall on 2nd and then a pass on third. We plan to throw short early and then about the 3rd series throw long. We'll mix in some pitch sweeps on the 4th series and some QB bootlegs on the 5th series. NO WAY a coach is going to give the data you want to read. Some people will ***** just to *****.
  16. I'm not concerned with the few personal fouls or hitting the kicker penalties. Those are from being aggressive. Holding penalties, offsides, illegal substitution are unacceptable. We did a very good job of turning around the holding penalties from week 1 to week 2. However there were still a few sloppy penalties like illegal substitution. Overall, I don't think it's too far out of wack. My major problem is the failure to develop any offense at all. Something stinks on the offensive side of the ball and it's more than just our QB play. Our OC needs to head back to high school.
  17. He was definately hurt and missed a few days and split time the rest of the week. Was wearing a big brace in practice and that may limit his mobility. The fact of the matter is, both our QBs are I-AA caliber and our OC is highschool caliber.
  18. He didn't practice for more than half of the week. Banks deserved the shot and blew it. The same should hold true in all sports.....if you don't practice you don't play.
  19. Hobbie is the root of all evil. Leavitt needs to get some balls and fire him now. Not at the end of the season but now. Let Smith ride out the rest of the season and if he can't get it done then an new OC needs to come on board. If that OC can't get it done then we need to start questioning Leavitt.
  20. Correction.....stealing from a former team mate. Not that it makes it any better.
