  1. Well if we dont get better at defense and bring in a big time WR, we will not be beating FAU or UAB next year...I also dont think we for sure win conference next year even if we do those 2 things...we contend....see games you listed from this year as my reasoning for not being overly confident
  2. I also think we make a run for conference championship in 2024. Mostly because of what you listed above. Its sad, but it is what it is. With SMU leaving our conference AGAIN gets weaker. I'm only marginally okay with it just cause it gives us a path to a conference championship. That's something we can build off of. And based on what we have seen this year, if the team gets better next year on defense, and brings in a big time WR, we can have a real contender for the conference.
  3. I was hoping for 40k with expandable for 50k, but as long as they do 35k right Im all for that
  4. In state rivalry.. I think ours should be a little higher because past big east rivals, but its not like ours should be top 20 or anything
  5. Anybody got any spare vacation days???.... I dropped the ball on this one, absolutely not happening next year, going to be saving 2 days at end of year for bowl game...
  6. except their stadium cost 78 million. We are looking at 340 million (and maybe more if more donations roll in).
  7. Was really hoping there would be something like this. Walking down this during the first game will be euphoric
  8. man, I knew they were not a good team, but I still thought it was impressive to win by as much as we did, gave me a little hope on the year....the hope is bye bye now though
  9. Yeah its posted as seen above...I was surprised to not see its own thread yesterday.
  10. Valid point, RB might make more sense than any other position to chase money
  11. Wonder what GB leaving means for Brown...I hope it more likely means Brown is staying....
  12. This is what I hope comes to light...and I think will...kids need to start considering what's better...make a temporary big pay day and transfer? Or stay and take a bet on yourself for a potential at the career pay day?
  13. WBB down year much different from other sports down years
  14. Golesh: A+, nothing short of outstanding QBs: A, Byrum played great, had some lapses here and there and costly turnovers, but guy has a bright future RBs: B, Wright was a great pick up and played well, but no one else separated themselves, was a mature group and provided good stability WRs: C+, some drops were tough to watch, and no explosive playmaker ability. Atkins alone brings group from C to C+ OL: C-, The group Struggled, but thought they provided solid coverage against the weaker teams Defense: D-, this was really rough to watch, the front line was solid as stopped the run mostly, outside of that it needs a lot of work ST: C, kicking was up and down all year, punting was solid, not much of a return game with punts or kickoffs Overall: B, regardless of the above grades, units and players made plays when they needed to, got us to 6-6, pretty incredible stuff excited for the future for the first time in a while....
  15. Got to give Gregory at least a little credit for getting us out of that. Gregory never fully hit his stride here, but he for sure had some nice moments....Orlando was to basketball what Scott was to football...abomination
  16. Man, now I'm even less confident haha
  17. I think it is. We have the capability of beating some teams (couldn't say that last year) and without a doubt can lose to anyone...wildcard Bulls
  18. Except if they're out of town. But maybe some come back a little early for this game? Could drive it Saturday afternoon and make it.
  19. Yeah, I was hoping that wasn't the case haha...but I think youre on to something...that was a BRUTAL loss to take in I think all the other factors you listed did play a part (thinking back now even the concourses were kind of full at times), but FAU game might be the number 1 reason...if we took a close loss rather than a blowout we prob get a larger portion to come back... Unless we pull of a miracle against UTSA, we need them there in last game of season
  20. What in the world happened with the students this weekend? I get a huge drop-off cause of FAU result and noon kick-off...but that was crazy...was there a technical issue requesting tickets? Kids go home for Thanksgiving holiday already?
  21. Would be kind of fun to have a must win game at home as last game of season to make a bowl game...as long as its not a noon game I think we can get a decent crowd out for it...except for students...
